We wanted to have a quote for leveling an 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 area in our back yard in preparation for installing a hot tub. Unfortunately, the individual who came to give us a quote would not hear "8 1/2 x 8 1/2" and insisted that we wanted to level a larger area. He did give us different options for leveling the area, but not the small area that we wanted worked on.

The staff were very prompt in returning calls, pleasant to work with and the work was superb. We love the new walkway.

Eden was exactly on time when he came out to give the estimate. He made recommendations on things we hadn't even considered. The crew arrived a little late but they worked over 12 hours the first day and came back the next day and finished in a couple of hours; as they said they would. Everyone was polite. They were very diligent, and careful workers. They cleaned up every scrap of debris from the job. We will use them again and have already recommended them to friends.

Although the design did not have the same panache as the 2 other bids (not colorized oversized plans with a lot of plantings), the vision for the hardscapes was similar and the price was significantly less. They gave us a 5% Angie's List discount, which added up given the size of the project (discount included in the price listed). We recommend Bluhm Bros for any landscaping project without hesitation and we plan to hire them back next year to work on the side and front of our yard.

It was great. He came to give an estimate and stayed until we both understood what was going to happen, when and how much. He gave me a written estimate and a date. He came and checked on the work while in progress, and they came when planned and finished in days. They had to work in a very small space, and they did a great job.

Eden Bluhm is clear, knowledgable, and seems to care genuinely about his work. Bluhm Brothers brought in a large crew, worked efficiently, and followed up on more than one occasion when we had questions. The sod took beautifully, we receive complements on the patio (Eden recommended the colors), and the grading has led to a much drier basement. I give them my highest recommendations for professionalism, quality, and attentive service. I look forward to finding a reason to hire them again.

Eden was very knowledgeable and honestly told us what landscaping he would advise. He didn't think we needed to make radical changes. We are very pleased with the walk. Previous clients were very happy with their work and they had a good rating when I did check on Angie's list. The work crew didn't seem totally informed about the design. They left a small pile of sand on the edge of the walkway with no explanation. Make sure crew has the description of the project and a copy of the design sketch. Be around when work is done.

They were very responsive and I like the fact that they came out when they said they would and that they had it all done. The owner of the company is on site at the time the job is done so they are there to supervise their employees.

Eden's cost estimates were almost exactly double the cost estimates of 2 others on Angie's List (Dehn's & L & R Suburban). Maybe Bluhm Bros is worth the extra cost, but I'll risk it & hire somebody else.

Very prompt in setting up the appointment for estimating project. Open to our ideas and also gave us ideas and recommendations for the project. Their equipment was well maintained, the crew very well mannered and professional at all times. We hope to hire them again before the end of the summer.

Bluhm Bros had originally given us a quote to make a patio in this area, however we decided it was too much $$ for us at this time, and we went with the cheaper mulch/sod option. They were great to work with. Very polite and responsive. They even dumped a bunch of extra dirt around the front foundation of our house where we needed some fill to alleviate basement seepage. Our only complaint is that although they accept credit cards, they dropped their 10% AL discount to only 5% to defray the cost of the credit card transaction. This was disappointing.

I was very pleased with my whole experience with Bluhm Brothers. They are a quality team- from the estimate to the clean-up. Prompt, friendly, careful, & hard-working.
