They damaged sprinklers, broke water lines, and cut wiring. Dan the owner said, oh well not my problem. We tried our best! They also decided not to machine lay and rolled the one drive and it is obvious doesn’t look so good. An open and unpacked serface. Joe (another son and majority owner apparently) said it will be fine. They were sloppy and my wife was afraid to go into a dispute with them. I'm not sure their guarantee will be any good. A guarantee is only as good as the person who offers it. I have had to asphalt only 2 other times and these guys were sloppy. Also if you add any area this is what may have made a difference in their work? Even though they marked where, the lines were and sprinklers were, to be cautious of things, they didn't take caution. If I hadn't noticed the damage it would have cost me thousands more to fix instead of what it did cost. I'm disappointed on what was settled upon. More work is still to be done to fix the damage to the property. See photos. I also have audio and video if I can load it. If they wouldn’t have been jerks about it would have made a difference.

From the estimate to the completed project, they were very professional. No high pressure like some companies. Work was completed as scheduled and in a timely manner. The work was done in 2016. I waited to submit a review to see how the driveway stood up over time. Nearly four years later, it looks good.

The driveway looks good after 3 years. I used the coupon offered through Angie's List. The previous driveway was removed and widened. The asphalt was laid carefully and packed well. They cleaned up.

A truly top notch outfit. Quick, reasonable, professional. Was quite a large residential project that went without a hitch. Thank you guys!

I sent an email via Angie's list on June 28th 2017 and have not had any reply from them in the 6 months since.

Tim came out to do the estimate and spent time talking to me about where we would like to extend parts of the driveway. Offered extra things like removing trees and old landscaping timber. They had the lowest estimate of all the companies we contacted. They came out to remove the existing driveway one day and about a week later they placed the new one down. It looked great. They were very quick and very neat. They only negative was that they run a tight schedule so we weren't notified of the days they had us on their schedule until two days before hand. Wasn't much of a problem because our schedule was pretty open at the time.

It took a bit longer for the driveway to be installed than initially indicated which was fine. Unfortunately the re-grading was not properly completed. There was gravel at bottom of driveway and an excess of black dirt at the top which required significant additional work before re speeding. Also by early winter we noticed there was a small spot that seemed to sink and collect water and eventually ice over. I brought this to the attention of Dan Spadino the following spring. He required multiple calls and texts to respond. His standard excuse was that he "was too busy" when he answered his phone. After two weeks and multiple calls and texts he agreed to take a look. He said that because water stood less than 24 hours it was not so much his problem, however he rudely and grudgingly agreed to come back to attempt to resolve the issue. He never got back in touch. I called and emailed several times but got no response. Two years after installation the sink spot is now 18 feet long. This means an 18x2 ice slick outside the drivers side door all winter and a perpetual puddle of the same size when its rainy like it's been this summer. Needless to say (but I'll say it) I'm massively dissapointed in the outcome of this project and the lack of follow up/professionalism. I cannot help wondering if blacktop concepts cut corners as we were initially planning to move and they knew that.

It worked out good. I wasn't real familiar with what the price should be. The quality was very good. They started a little later than we wanted, but they kept us informed about that. I would use them again. They were very helpful. They ended up doing a very smooth job with concrete. We had blacktop before with a lot of cracks and problems with it. This ended up very smooth, but it could just be the nature of concrete. I don't know if it was their particular expertise or not.

They were horrible. The thing is the individual came and drove away, and came back and gave me a $1,000 off. What the hell. No charge for the estimate. They didn't do anything, but they were just shifty. Just unprofessional.

The services performed met my expectations

We called Black Top Concepts to come and address a problem with the drainage on the driveway that they replaced. We were told they would stop in and take a look at the issue. They have not come out to see what is happening, and in fact they wrote a response to my first review. Hopefully we will get someone to come out, since I just called them again. There isn't someone who answers the phones so leave a message is the only option.

In all fairness the weather played a large part in delays in getting the work completed. With that said it was difficult to get some to respond when we called to have them return to complete the work. We had a NEW concrete patio poured also (by another company) Unfortunately where the blacktop meets the concrete Blacktop Concepts did not follow instructions. We now have an area that will cause a small ice **** and potentially ruin both blacktop and concrete.

The crew was prompt and quick working. Cleaning up the area very nicely. Also worked around my schedule and came when I had the time to get it done. Very much appreciated that.

Work was performed to satisfaction. Crew was great. This is a good local family business. Dan took the time to explain the work and answer questions. They were the lowest bid I received.

This was a perfect customer experience. Dan was very helpful in making sure I understood the work to be done and was very responsive to my emails and text messages. I couldn't be happier with my experience. My driveway looks fantastic. Dan's crew took care when removing the old driveway and even discovered a city water shut off that had been tarred over by the last owner. They carefully worked around that valve and my driveway looks amazing.

The team came in a couple weeks ago and tore out the old driveway and fixed the base and foundation blocks. They were very meticulous and paid attention to details. Last Friday (5/12) they came back and laid the new driveway. Again, very meticulous with attention to detail. They swept and picked up all gravel, asphalt, and dirt from the street and my garage. They did a great job and I would happily recommend Blacktop Concepts to anyone. I'd definitely use them again.

Dan and crew were exceptional. They let us know a general window of time they expected to remove the old driveway. They called the day before they arrived, removed the driveway in no time at all and followed the same process to put the new drive in place. They were very easy to work with and delivered exactly what they promised. They cleaned up perfectly with both phases and the driveway looks great. I would use this company again without hesitation.

I knew approximately how much it was going to cost to have the work done and Dan did the job under my budget. The work was done on time, professionally and most importantly done correctly. I'm very impressed with the efficiency of the crews, in and out, job done. Every issue I had they addressed. We are very happy with their work and we would highly recommend Blacktop Concepts.

guy got here - asked if I had any other estimates - which I did - he then asked if anyone already measured the areas and asked if I had those measurements - I told him the other estimates were in the house - I asked if he wouldn't prefer doing his own measuring - he briefly looked at the 3 driveways - then said he will get back to me - that was 2 weeks ago - I guess he didn't want the job -

Dan worked with us and was very patient, because we had several projects going at once (tree removal and house painting) and wanted to get them done before the driveway so we would not have any damage to the new driveway. Very helpful and answered all questions. Highly recommend. They also took the extra steps to make the driveway look nice.

I would highly recommend them; they were cleaned up and polite, they were timely and did a perfect job. They are everything that we wanted for the job.

His price was good and the service excellent. Dan made suggestions as to how to complete the project. This was much appreciated. He has a very qualified staff who knew what needed to be done and how to do it. It was amazing how quickly the job was actually done. He also did the same service for my neighbor at the same time. I am pleased with the result.

Satisfied. There was some delay, but that was due to weather. When they finally got to it, lots of manpower on site, lots of equipment, they put in a lot of effort and left after discussion about when it could be used. Never saw them or heard from them again.
