Had a great experience with Darin. We were on a budget and Darin's price was well below many of the other bids we received. Darin's prices are lower because he does all of the carpentry work himself (as opposed to many of the other contractors who privided bids (who hired it out). It was nice to just have to deal with Darin. Darin is well connected and has resources to any trade you can imagine. He passed these savings on to us regularly. He worked extremely hard to get it done. We expected the entire bathroom and kitchen remodel to take about 2 months. But Darin had it done in about a month (this includes coordinating the electricians, plumber, ceiling guys and all of the other details). Darin's detail work was incredible. There were various pieces of trim left over and Darin found a place for almost all of it - making the kitchen look much more elegant. He had regularly had ideas on how to improve the kitchen - and provided the labor without asking for anything extra. We were also very impressed with Darin's ability to put up a huge crown molding in our living room - where the ceiling is very wavy. He did a great job and suggested putting in rope lighting where the ceiling is vaulted. It ended up being the nicest accent of the whole projects. Throughout the project Darin fixed many small issues from previous contractors (including our own DIY work) without asking to be paid. I would definitely use his services again. He is extremely fair as far as price and is a good alternative to using a fancy firm with high markups.
