+ -1 moreThe experience with this company was awful. Our start date was repeatedly pushed back and we were given an est. project time of 2 weeks. After 7 weeks, the work was still not done. Workers variously showed up late, left early or didn't come at all with no explanation. The drywalling and painting was sloppy and amateurishly done. The cabinets were a cheaper version of what we selected & ordered in the wrong sizes. The windows were horrible cheap ones instead of the Marvin windows specified in the contract and were installed so badly that people laughed when they saw it. The counter was ordered with the wrong front edge and came with no end cap. The installer sloppily stuck on a piece of non-matching laminate that looked like a child did it. There were so many issues that I can't list them all here. We finally fired Benshoof and hired a different contractor to fix what Benshoof botched and finish the job. 'D' instead of 'F' because they left without a fight.
Description of Work: We hired Benshoof to remodel our kitchen including: replace cabinets, floor, counter, sink; install dishwasher & disposal; remove wall tile and backsplash; drywall damaged areas; paint; replace existing windows; install new ceiling light & lights above sink; upgrade electrical. This work was contracted for approx. $11,000. However, we fired them before the job was complete and paid them approx. $5000.
