Description of Work: Lynda B came for an evening estimate (per my request due to my work schedule) at my home and was able to immediately tell us what make and model of our old one was, down to the approx year. Then we went through what we were looking for in our ideal patio door. She never tried to hard sell anything. She presented what they had available and gave approximate prices for all the bells and whistles. The total was less than I imagined, even more so when I looked at the finished product. Since it’s custom made, we ordered at end of Nov/early Dec and it was delivered end of Jan/early Feb. I made a date for it to be installed. I gated the dog in basement, let the people in, went to work, came back and I completely forgot they were there except for the beautiful door they left behind! No dust, scuff marks, shoe marks, snow salt stains, nothing. My home was just as I had left it except for the door. And the door was slick! The blinds were in between the 2 panes of glass (perfect away from naughty dogs) and it slides so smoothly on the tracks. And a key lock from outside like we wanted. The whole process was stress free, easy, communication was always open with Lynda, and I’ve already recommended them to quite a few friends, family, and neighbors! (I’m not paid by Beissel for this review and frankly never even heard of them until I came across them on Angie’s List.) I highly recommend them, if you can’t tell.

Description of Work: I called them for a quote for a siding problem on a house that I am considering purchasing and I needed some answers on immediately! They gave me a very reasonable price and really helped me understand the true nature of the issue. Mike answered all my questions, invited me to text and email him and responded quickly when I did. So, even though I haven't had them do any work for me, I am very impressed at how helpful they are.

Description of Work: They made and installed a set of storm windows for one side of the house. They were generally very professional and responsive and the quality was very good. We had a glitch when they brought out the windows for installation and discovered they had measured incorrectly and they had to be made over again. They fixed the problem but it took about 6 weeks longer than expected.

Description of Work: Would schedule a day and cancel at the last minute. Took 3 months to do a project they said would take 2 days. Had to have them come back and re do some things. They were really punctual sending me my bill though.

Description of Work: Beissel Windows and Siding repaired some fascia that was damaged in a storm for us. Overall, the work was well done. However, getting the work scheduled and done was difficult. Early in the process their sales rep was responsive and got us a quote for the work quickly. At that point, we were told based on current work load, it was likely they would get to our repair within 2 weeks and someone would call us to schedule. 2 weeks went by and we had heard nothing. Another week and a couple of phone calls and voicemails later, we finally heard from someone with a tentative date for our repair. That date came and went (another 1.5-2 weeks later) and we hadn't heard anything again. A few more phone calls and the next week later, someone showed up at our house to do the repair. However, that person didn't have a ladder that was tall enough to do the work, so the work didn't get done. After a last set of phone calls and one more week, someone finally came and completed the repair. But that person didn't bother to talk to us at all or even tell us he was there (and we had specifically said we wanted to be home when the work was done). The quality of the work was good and the work was reasonably priced, but communication with the scheduler and actually getting the work done was quite difficult. If they had said 5-6 weeks from the beginning, we would have had a much better experience.

Description of Work: handyman broke our picture window. Beissel came and hauled it away to repair

Description of Work: Air sealing and insulation of attic, walls, basement and crawlspace. Beissel became a Home Performance preferred contractor with the Xcel Energy program during the time my work was being done. I chose the rock wool product for installation. Beissel has 1 person who installs this product. Regrettably, my project was prolonged due to illness of the installer and his assistant. They worked collaboratively with the city inspector and the Home Performance auditor to assure that the work was completed per specifications.
