I received service on the same day I called. Doug and Bryan were both very polite courteous and hard working. I was given an estimate and very pleased with the outcome of the work.

The exterior outlet was tested and replaced; the service representative asked me what we used the outlet for, and he upgraded the replacement in amps to handle it properly. Unfortunately this company charges by the hour and the procedure took less than 15 minutes total. I had no further electrical work, but I did ask him to check my GFCI outlets to ensure that they met code, which he did. The gentleman was very polite and professional.

I was very pleased with the work. They came on time and took less time then estimated. Very polite and professional. I would call them again if and when more work is needed.

I'll never understand the culture of laborers. Scheduled an appointment at least 7 days prior for a time of 8am to run a new line for a shed & to install a sub breaker box. Took time off from work to wait for the appointment. 8am comes & goes. Give a call to the office at 8:30 to ask what's up & was told the electrician is at the office picking parts & won't be expected to arrive until approximately 10am. No call, no notice. Just assumed the customer (with all the money to pay their wages) would be patiently waiting for two hours not knowing if anybody will show at all. Crazy. Was going to use the provider for a full basement wiring but will have to keep looking now. Should bill them for my lost wages waiting. Why is it so hard for laborers to provide a solid service? Any recommendations on a reputable electrician would be greatly appreciated.

Bryan took couple of minutes to assess the job and knew exactly what to do. He explained everything very clearly and was very helpful. We thought the bill was fair. We'll definitely hire Mendota Electric again

It went really good. I was happy with what they did. They were here for 3 days. Eric, the electrician, was pleasant to be around and explained things. I was having trouble getting the generator turned on and he came out promptly to make sure if wasn't the electrical.

Worker came in quietly began working, explained anything I questioned, was very helpful.

Eric came out and surveyed the job before I had even purchased the install. Having performed some electrical work on my home in the past, we were able to determine exactly what needed to be done. He suggested a couple additional things I could easily do myself in order to keep things up to code and save a little on the final cost. He arrived promptly on the date of install and had the entire job completed in under 4 hours. Communication throughout the process was very good and he did exactly what I wanted done, including splitting a couple doubled-up circuits that had been causing blown fuses. Overall a very good experience.

Overall, the service was okay. The work ordered was done in a timely manner. However, the electrician onsite added a 3rd GFI (in the kitchen), which was not part of the job, without clearing it with us before doing it, and charged us. I paid for it and notified the company by email a week ago and still have not heard back.

No issue with the vendor. Project total cost expanded by a factor of 2. The vendor did educate me on the total cost of the project. Roof repair, meter move, mast installation, plus permit cost all increase the scope of the project.

It went very well. They were the only electricians out of the eight that I called that were willing to fit me in within the tight time schedule I was working with.

They were good and they did a fine job.

New fixtures required drilling new holes and using anchors to securely hold the fixtures. Eric was knowledgable and efficient, and thoughtfully answered all my questions, leaving me feeling confident in the work he performed.

It went beautifully. Dave was on time, courteous, professional, friendly, hard-working, and cleaned up very well after himself. I 'save up' all my electrical tasks and get them all done at one time. The job took longer than expected and Dave even had to come back a few weeks later to 'tweak' a recessed light that was buzzing. Both he and the person I spoke with at Mendota electric were accommodating and understanding and the follow-up work was completed happily and promptly. I have used Mendota Electric in the past and I will continue to use them for all my electrical needs. They know how to hire the right kind of people!

They are not the cheapest but they do the best work. I’ve used them multiple times. They are very professional and personable, as they always listen to my needs. They even come up with great solutions for tricky situations.

I called Mendota Electric and explained our need. They were able to send an electrician the next day. Josh arrived on time and moved the wall outlet for our oven down a few inches. He was quick, efficient, friendly and professional. He explained what he was doing and helped get the stove back into place. We will definitely use again if the need arises.

He did an excellent job and even the inspector confirmed that.

As part of a basement drywall repair project I needed some light fixtures moved and some replaced. It was a two part job, first to move a fixture then to install the new fixtures. I feel like I have my own personal electrician because even though Mendota Electric is a large company, I've had the same person (Jeremy) the last few times. He's very friendly and clearly knows what he's doing. Nothing is a problem and even when I purchased a wrong item he was able to run to his truck and get the right thing. The basement looks great and the new fixtures make it awesome!

They were efficient and thorough, and they also provided recommendations for what should be done in the future. We have worked with them in the past and it is very nice to continue to work with them.

My mother was having electrical gremlin problems - breakers tripping for no apparent reason. She asked me to help her find a reputable electrician. After researching on Angie's List, I gave her the names and contact information of three highly-rated firms. She chose Mendota Electric. At 7:30 this morning Josh arrived, quickly discovered a short in a subpanel and made the necessary repair. He was there for less than an hour and thrilled my mother by charging her $140. Soon after he left she called me to rave about how impressed she with Josh, asking me to write this review. "Please just write something saying how he (Josh) was one of the nicest, most efficient people I've met. I asked him about the lights outside that don't work. He said it would probably be about $150, and that he'd need his 24 foot ladder. I told him, not today, it's too cold and icy. When it warms up a little, I guarantee I'll be calling you."

We originally bought an Angie's List Deal, but our situation was such that the coupon didn't really apply. We desperately needed upgrading of our electric service and there were some major problems that Mendota Electric was able to solve for us. Things that had been done terribly wrong in the past. I honestly don't remember the exact date or amount paid; but, we were very happy with the service and response from them.

We had a simple do-it-yourself project gone awry that involved a dimmer switch that somehow was controlling another switch in a different part of the house. Truly we had our wires crossed! I called Mendota Electric for help. They showed up on time and were in and out within 15 minutes. Problem solved. The electrician (Josh) was personable and professional and he didn't make me feel like an idiot for what was probably a really, really simple problem. He even took the time to explain to me what the problem was and showed me how to correct it and prevent it in the future. Great service! I will definitely use Mendota Electric again.

He arrived on time, did the repairs, cleaned up after. I will us them again.

Josh was absolutely fantastic. He did the work right away, polite and did a quality job. I will use these guys for all of my future electrical work.
