I'm glad I was there at the start. The crew was going to put the fence in a different place then I had asked.

The saleperson met with us quickly after we asked for an estimate. She provided a couple of different options as well as pictures of the different fencing. She was able to provide on the spot pricing. The pricing was pretty consistent with the others we had quoted and we chose artistic fence because their nicer option was 300 cheaper than the competition. After scheduling out 3 weeks we were able to make a couple of changes to our original estimate. The gentlemen that worked on the fence worked diligently and professionally. It was completed in 3 days. The only constructive comment I will make is they don't tell you that the dirt accumulated from digging the post holes is your responsibility. We didn't ask in the first place, but it would have been nice to know that we had some work ahead of us that isn't included in the job. The gentleman was very good about asking where to put the dirt/clay until I could get to it. Overall, price was good, fence looks great, and no issues.

Part of my fence fell during a storm. While it took them a while to fit me into the schedule, they were on time, reasonably priced, and did the job well. They have worked on my fence in the past determining what posts were still good and which needed replacement, they were the most honest about all of it (the posts that broke snapped in half, it was not rotting) and honest about the condition of my fence.

Initial consultation was with Amy and my husband. Since I wasn't sure what styles were discussed in my absence, she quickly emailed me pictures of a few different options. I made multiple changes before the install date, and Amy took it all in stride. When it came to the first day of work, the demo guy came out to check out our existing chain link. Apparently it was more work than he thought and had to reschedule to come out a couple days later when he had more time. Due to a miscommunication and misunderstanding (we said we would take care of disposal of the old fence and they thought it meant we would entirely remove and dispose the old fence and then I didn't read the quote well enough to notice that they did not include removal in the price), it took a little bit longer than expected. No big deal, that's on us to more clearly communicate and read better! Once the old fence was taken out and the posts were set, the fence was up in little more than a day. The guy who put it up was SO fast, he motivated the other contractor we had building our deck. Wish I would have known that Artistic could have built that, too, because we would have loved to have that up in two days as well! Any issues or concerns I had in the process, I just called and talked to Mary in the office and she sorted everything out. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and everyone. All of our neighbors have come over to tell us how much they love our fence!

The initial contact with Amy for the work estimate went well. She responded to the estimate request in a timely manner and answered my questions. The work start date was estimated to be early September (4 weeks out) and that was right on. I was called the day before the posts were to be put in, but it was postponed. The start date of Thursday was postponed to Friday...then Friday postponed into Saturday. The post hole & cement work was actually done on Sunday! That surprised me and I was not home when this work was completed. My neighbor was present during the post work and he said the workers were very friendly and professional. They cleaned up the yard nicely after installing the posts. The neighbor had no complaints...and he had watched as the workers removed a portion of HIS chainlink fence. It was not in the agreement contract that any portion of HIS fencing be removed - but he did not stop that from occurring. I was NOT charged extra for that work and fortunately the neighbor was okay with saying 'goodbye' to 50' of his old chain link fence. (Note: this is a neighbor that I have a bad connection with! So it was lucky that he liked the workers. Amy gave me an emailed apology. ) The posts were correctly installed within my property markers. Within 2 days, the rest of the fence installation was completed. The boards look good, the gate looks nice...overall I am VERY PLEASED with the new fence. It EXCEEDED my expectation in terms of appearance. Other neighbors have also commented that the fence looks good. I will followup next spring to add how this fence material holds up over time.

After another company installed the supporting retaining wall, Artistic Fence came in a week later and a two-man team installed the fence posts. Then about three days after that a different carpenter came and built the fence. The fence looked great and the three gates worked fine. After about a week, the main gate started to stick when opening. Since the sticking seemed to be getting worse, I called the company and explained the problem. Shortly, a temporary brace was installed to support the gate. Their carpenter reported that one of the fence posts supporting the gate was warped (this was what we suspected). He recommended two possible solutions: install a bracket between the post and our garage, or remove the warped post and install a new one. We decided to try the bracket idea. It took a little time for their carpenter to fit us in. He installed the bracket with additional bracing on the inside of the garage making it very strong. The gate works fine now with no sticking. While I felt like I had to prompt the company a few times, and it took a little bit of time to get the warped post braced, I am very happy with the finished product.

We found Artistic Fence Inc. on Angieslist. They advertise in the monthly magazine we receive and offer a $100 discount for fence work over a certain cost. We called and set up an appointment with Joe who met with us and discussed the work we wanted done. He offered suggestions on the job and outlined the work it would take and the time frame needed to complete the work. He said he would call with a cost estimate. We found Joe to be very artistic and creative with his suggestions. We could tell he had a passion for this work and a pride for the company. This greatly impressed us. We did get a quote from another company and two other companies failed to show for the appointments we scheduled. Amy from Artistic Fence Inc. called with the estimate and so my wife and I scheduled an appointment with her to meet at their office to finalize the choice of materials to be used for the project. It was a pleasure to meet with her and we found her to be very knowledgeable about the materials and options available. We then paid 10% down and picked an approximate date for the work to begin. We noticed the MANY Angieslist awards they have been awarded that are posted on their office wall. Mary from Artistic Fence Inc. called about a week before the work was to begin to let us know which day the crew would be arriving. We reviewed the project needs again and everything was set. They actually came out on the hottest week of the summer which followed a week of storms and heavy rain. They were a bit behind because of the weather but they did call and say that they would be arriving as scheduled and would be adding an additional crew member to make sure the work would be completed. The crew arrived on time and began work immediately. One concern I had was that fence posts needed to be dug where a large tree I had cut down and stumped was located. Artistic fence had a "mini-tank" fence post digger which was able to QUICKLY dig all the holes so their equipment was able to solve my concern. Joe did very nice work on the metal rail by our front door and the steps/landing by our side door. The rest of the crew worked on the fence which went up by their hard work on such a hot day. The guys have been installing fences for years so I could tell they knew how to do it right. Again, this was a killer day and they worked from early morning until after 6 PM. The crew completely cleaned up the work area. Joe did a walk through with me after the work was completed. On another day we called Mary and asked if Joe could come out and add some touches to an area. Joe came out and did the work, did a walk through again with us to make sure we were happy. The people who work at Artistic Fence Inc. are hard workers and what I call salt-of-the-earth good people. You won't go wrong by using these guys and I like the fact that if the fence settles or needs some sort of touch up, I just need to call and schedule an appointment with them. We have a back yard, front and back door area that we are now proud of. We had our first multifamily get together and it was nice to finally have some privacy and security with 10 little kids running round in our newly fenced yard. I am going to try to add the before and after photos we took so you can see the improvements. By the way, the $100 discount Artistic Fence Inc gave us for being Angieslist members paid for our membership and then some. Just an extra little touch but we would have used these guys even without the discount. They are that good.

There is nothing I can say here that I did not say in my review. There is no way I could have checked if this company had what they advertised because they advertised that they had the product I wanted, then did not. Everything went as planned except they tried to get me to install fencing with cement bases when the cement would dissolve in several years in my yard due to wetness. Anchor fencing, which I have surrounding my pool, has proven to be the way to go. The choice this company gave me, was spend a great deal of money for what I wanted,(if they could find it) or put in what they were used to installing. No imagination and appear to be unwilling to work with the customer when the customer wants something that is outside the box.

Artistic Fence promptly got back to me when I left a message asking for them to give me a quote on installing a cedar privacy fence. They quickly responded when I wanted to make some small changes to the plans. What I really appreciated is they kept me informed as to when the installation would begin because there were delays due to the rainy weather. The job was completed while I was out of town. The work was done in 2 days, they completely cleaned up the yard after they finished. The fence is very well made.

Amy was wonderful and the bid was inline with expectations, and was the lowest I received. I decided to go with another company because they didn't have as long of a wait to install the fence. Artistic was 4 weeks out. The company I went with installed the fence the following week.

The project went very well from estimate to completion. We needed to make a scheduling change for the installation date and they accomodated us. The installer put in a long day of work and did a fine job. He was professional and courteous and kept us informed of when he was coming and going. He put up the whole thing by himself. The job required creating post holes into existing concrete and then cementing the panel posts in place. He did that nicely. He worked steadily and didn't skimp on cleanup when he was done even though it was the Friday heading into the Memorial Day weekend. It looks great. It's a definite improvement to the look of our property. We are very happy customers.

The estimate was for $7000 and I found it very expensive. I found them on Angies List. Overall I think what they did was fine but the pricing was too high. I think what I am asking for is an expensive product.

The quote was about $2700. So far so good. They are yet to commence the work.

Our initial interaction with Artistic Fence was great. Amy from Artistic Fence sent us an initial estimate on April 14, and work was completed the first couple weeks of May. The fence builders were pleasant and professional. Artistic Fence covered the fence with a five-year warranty. By June, we noticed protruding nails and splitting boards on our street-side privacy fence. We also noticed that one of the posts on the new gate was cracking. I emailed Amy about it on June 12. She replied on June 14 and said that someone would stop by to repair it. We were planning to get the fence painted with our house, so we were anxious for it to be repaired beforehand. The fence hadn't been repaired by July 29, when we emailed Amy again. She replied on August 1, "I do not believe anyone has been out to take a look yet. I am sorry about that, I will push to find out when someone will be there and will let you know." Fast-forward to September, when the fence still hadn't been repaired. We emailed Amy on Sept. 12: "We haven't heard anything from you about this yet. When can someone take a look at the fence? We are hoping to have it clear coated late September." This time, we didn't receive a reply until we emailed Artistic Fence again on Sept. 29. Amy replied, "I passed you email on to everyone in our office and Joe responded that he I fixed all the boards about two or three months ago and did not see the post. If you like, why don't we set up a time to meet and go over where you see there is still a repair to be done." After receiving Amy's message, we looked at the street-side privacy fence and saw that it had indeed been repaired. However, we had been keeping an eye on it over the summer and do not believe that it had actually been repaired two or three months earlier. The gate post still needed repair. In addition, there was a new issue: One of the new boards was not completely nailed down, and so it started separating from the rest of the fence. Artistic Fence sent someone to repair the on Oct. 12, and the board was nailed down on Oct. 14. We had been delaying painting the house until the fence was ready, so we were finally able to proceed ? just in time to beat winter. We do love the finished product, but the lack of follow-up over the course of four months was deeply disappointing.

Everything went fairly smoothly, the installer came two days later but was short some hardware so he had to come back the next day to finish.

From the initial phone call, to the estimate, to the pole installation, to the building of the fence, a very good experience. I am very impressed with company, very professional. I definitely recommend Artistic Fence, INC.

Absolutely a joy to work with, and an amazing result. Everyone worked very hard, and was pleasant and professional. Thank you to Amy, Phil and Chad for your great service. The fence is a beauty. Chad was an amazing worker and built a fence that will last longer than the house! I am very pleased with the company and wish them much luck in the future. I'll let the neighbors know who did the work.

I'm delighted with the final product. I wanted a fence that acted as a visual screen, allowed air to pass through, kept deer out (had to be high enough), and was beautiful with an oriental feel. The salesperson did an excellent job of efficiently coming up with a design with me that accomplished all this. But then on top of that, when the carpenter arrived to install the fence I told him what I REALLY wanted was a gate that looked as close to an authentic Torii gate as I could afford. He said, "I can do that" and made some modifications to the design. He came back later with something he had never tried that did fill the bill as a Torii gate. The cost of the project was modified in what I felt was a fair and easygoing way, to reflect the design change. Then I freaked out and said I thought I didn't want the Torii after all and he calmed me and said it was cool looking. Neighbors and friends later supported his view - they were wowed and I'm glad the carpenter gently didn't let me back off from what I really wanted. I had consulted with 6 fence companies and Artistic was the ONLY one that would work with me to get the result I wanted. All the others wanted to sell me their standard fare. NOTE: if you hire Artistic, as with any company where more than one person works on the project, watch closely to be sure the individuals communicate completely and accurately with each other regarding the plan, especially if your project is non-standard. Had I not been doing this, there could have been some disenchantment with the project. Because of the unique design, there needed to be more careful communication among the company members.

I received three quotes for this job and Artistic Fence's quote came in as the lowest quote and Amy was the only person who gave me a quote on the spot. The other two companies opted to go home and email/mail me the quote. Once I decided to go with them they were flexible regarding scheduling the job because I had to work with my neighbor to have some stumps removed from the property line. Once I let them know that the stumps were removed they started the job the next week. I was impressed with how quickly the old fence was removed and the new fence was put up...two days. Additionally, I was able to articulate the day that they arrived how I wanted my gates to look. They assembled everything onsite. Overall, my experience was great.

I was happy with everything from the estimate to the completion. They were very good at keeping me informed as to when the fence would be installed. I like that it is a family owned/operated business. Good people.

Artistic Fences does very high quality work for a reasonable price (we compared several companies). Amy came out and gave us an estimate right on the spot. They were able to complete the job the following week. Everything went just great and the fence looks wonderful! I would highly recommend them.

CALLED FOR A ESTIMATE ON 75 FEET OF CEDAR FENCE. AMY CAME OUT 3 DAYS LATTER AND IT WAS A DONE DEAL.THEY DO EITHER A 2 OR 3 RAIL WITH THER 6 FOOT FENCE. WENT WITH THE 3 RAIL AS IT IS ONLY ONE DOLLAR A FOOT MORE. THEY CALL GOPHER ONE AND ALSO GET THE PERMIT. TOOK OUT THE OLD FENCE AND SET POSTS IN ONE DAY. JOE THE FENCE BUILDER CAME OUT AND SAID THEY WERE HAVEING TROUBLE WITH THE CITY OF BLAINE , AS THE CITY WANTED ME TO GET ANOUTHER SURVEY. I HAD ONE DONE IN 2004 SO THAT MADE ME UPSET. I CALLED THE CITY COUCEL AND ONE CAME OUT TO LOOK, AND ALSO HAD THE MAYOR OUT TO INSPECT MY PROJECT. THEY SAID IT ALL LOOKED GOOD TO THEM SO THAT WAS THAT. WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD TROUBLE WITH THE CITY OF BLAINE WHEN WE WANT TO UPGRADE OUR PROPERTY. AFTER THIS FIRST SECTION OF FENCE WAS DONE, WE LIKED IT SO MUCH WE ORDERD ANOTHER 81 FEET. ALL WENT WELL, AND MARY, AMY,JOE & JOE AND CHAD WERE SUPPER TO WORK WITH !!!!!!!!!!!

Artistic Fence did a great job. I was very impressed with Amy who came out to do the estimate and am very pleased with the final results. The workers were all pleasant and very professional. The job was to remove an existing fence and to build a replacement. After the posts were set the fence builder felt that two of poles wouldn't work so he had the post setter came back and reset them. Not only are we very happy with the results but our neighbours are also really impressed.

We had two objectives. One was to replace some rotted posts in the back yard fence and the other was to enclose the yard by adding gates and fencing at the south and north sides of the house so that our two kitties can't get out and other critters can't get in. I had an idea in my mind of what I wanted, but, Amy Nosbush Reinke, their sales rep brought an idea book out that caused me to do more thinking about the project. She also communicates by email, which I appreciate because it reduces the phone tag method of communicating. The project was done during some of the worst weather of the summer - heavy rains that flooded the back yard and then excruciating heat. Communication is important to me, and Amy is quick to answer questions and concerns. The project went smoothly. I was really concerned about my gardens and the damage that would be done. But the men who did the repair were careful and I don't think it could have been completed with less damage. We are completely satisfied with the design, the installation and finished product and would definitely call Artistic Fence for other fencing projects. The project did not involve posts and pre-manufactured sections of fencing. It was made to duplicate the shapes of the rails in our deck. I was also impressed by a certificate of warranty given to us with the final bill that spells out the terms and coverage in plain language. I got the feeling that Artistic Fence doesn't just take the money and run, but wants satisfied customers and is confident enough in their workmanship to issue a five year warranty. I will refer them to friends and family that want fencing done without hesitation.
