 + -1 moreArt has a shop out of his home and it is obvious that he knows sewing machines inside and out. I like supporting the independent small businesses who know their skill. My machine works beautifully.
Description of Work: My sewing machine was skipping stitches. Not only did he fix it and fix it well, he cleaned off some varnish that had previously spilled on the surface of the machine. This was above and beyond.

Description of Work: Call ahead to ensure he is there. I brought in my plastic sewing machine. I described what was wrong. He said he could not get a repair to last on my machine. I appreciate his honesty and candor. I would see if he could repair any other issues I may have on my sewing machine in a heart beat |

 + -1 moreHe had them all running like new, and I got them exactly on the day he told me. He also called before doing the work to verify that I was happy with the price, and gave me a couple of options. Wonderful person to do business with!
Description of Work: My circa 1980 Singer needed overall maintenance and repair of feed dog. I brought in two children's sewing machines, one from the 40s and one from the 50s.

 + -1 moreHe did a darn good job for us. He works by himself. He took good care of us. He just had to replace a few parts and was really nice. I don't remember what the actual price was, but the price was reasonable.
Description of Work: We have a boyscout troop and use our sewing machines a lot to repair tents, clothes, and everything else.
