ARC Window Cleaning

This will be my first-ever negative review on Angie's List, but this was an extremely poor experience. The first problem was the supposed $250 credit that was to accompany the gutter inspection and clean-out offered as an Angie's List Big Deal, which I purchased on September 20, 2015. I needed a small gutter section installed on the back of my garage, so I thought the credit would apply to that. When I was later told the the credit only applied to gutter covers, a product for which I have no need, I discussed the issue with ARC and we mutually decided to cancel the Angie's List Big Deal, for which I received a refund. I will take responsibility for the misunderstanding on the Big Deal, even though I looked specifically on the Big Deal description for limitations on the coupon before I ordered it and did not see any (it has since been added to the deal description). No worries, though, and we agreed that I would still consider ARC to do the actual gutter installation I needed. ARC sent out an estimator within a day or two to look at what I need for gutters and gave me a quote for the work. When I talked to both the estimator in person on-site AND Antoinette at the main office by phone, I was assured that the work would be performed during the next week and a half (September 23rd to October 3rd) while I was on vacation. We had even discussed arrangements for me to pay for the work by credit card upon my return and inspection. When I returned, the work had not been done. Antoinette told me that they needed to order the parts. I didn't understand why, after a week and a half, they had still not even ordered the parts, much less performed the work as promised, but I didn't make an issue of it. A week later, on October 9th, Antoinette called to say she had finally ordered the parts (fully two and a half weeks from the estimate!), but that she couldn't get anyone out the next week, so it would be the week of October 19th. Antoinette called again on the 16th to confirm that they would be out on Wednesday or Thursday (October 21 or 22). The final straw was that the week of October 19th came and went without any contact whatsoever from ARC. Therefore, I sent an email on the morning of October 26th (today), more than a month after the estimate and initial order, telling them that I was cancelling the order. Not so amazingly, and no doubt stimulated by the email I sent, I got a voicemail from Antoinette late this afternoon saying that the parts were being delivered today and that they would do the work on Wednesday. I called back to tell her that, as I stated in my email, she should cancel the delivery. I got the same excuses and promises I had heard in the past--that it takes a while to get the parts and the work would be done later this week "Wednesday or Thursday"--but I no longer trust that they will do what they promise and, for that matter, I'm now questioning whether their installers will even perform the work properly, judging from how poorly their business is run in the office. Had they told me up front that it would take a month to do the work, I would not be as displeased with their service. It would behoove them to understand that a professional business sets customer expectations appropriately instead of making promises they cannot--or will not--keep. Frankly, I will take my business elsewhere to someone who treats their clients with professionalism and takes care of them as promised.

It went vey well. The price above represents cleaning of gutters on front and back of our house (we started with only cleaning about 20' on one side.) As he cleaned more, and found wasp nests, 5 in total, we decided to replace all of the failed "gutter covers" that were installed several years ago. He did a professional job, and we appreciated his recommendation and additional work.

They were very nice and did a good job. They did forget to clean 2 ft. at the end of my back gutter, but nothing to bring them back to finish. Must have over looked the spot. Hope to use them again next year.

Timely, cordial, and did a nice job. I thought the price was a little high, but I have not done this in a few years and prices may have escalated somewhat.

The stated arrival window was 9-11am and Gary arrived at around 9:20. He quickly gave me an estimate and the price was better than any other estimate I had gotten. He worked on my windows from 9:20 until after 3:30. Some of this time was in the rain. He was very aware of taking off his shoes when he entered the house. He was courteous and quiet. Both my husband and I work from home and we weren't interupted at all. He did a great job and I was very happy with the entire experience.

Everything went very well. I would not hesitate to hire them again for any window cleaning, gutter/downspout cleaning, et. al.

It went pretty well, they also missed a couple of windows. but other than that I think they did a good job.

It was quick. The did what they said they would do. They were fair, honest and efficient. Good experience.

I was extremely unhappy with the end result and with the lack of customer service. 5 hours late on the day of giving an estimate. Then last minute reschedule of work to do other jobs. When the work was done it wasn't correct with issues on both parties end but they took no responsibility for their missteps. All the while, the person who handles the phones was rude and argumentative. Terrible experience and I ended up with a very depressing outcome. I paid the majority of the originally agreed price although the job didn't meet my expectations just to cut ties. I'm having another company here in the morning to estimate how much it will cost me to fix it. I strongly recommend avoiding this provider.

Reliable, we have used this Company before and plan to call them again soon. The estimates are accurate and the crew shows up on time and does what is promised.

We have used them in the past for the remodeler's showcase 2 years ago. I remembered them being very professional and doing great job. I read the Angie's reviews again for them again and decided to use them again instead of buying a Groupon deal for other company. They(Minnesota) gave me 15% off and eneded up $200. The house looks bright and the windows look awesome. Even the old windows which tend to get foggy in between the panes, he opened it up and clean in between. He even cleaned the windwos in the garage which I don't think was a part of the estimate. After a week, the windows still look awesome and I think it is worth every penny at least right before the winter comes. I took all the screen down to really enjoy the clean windows and the view. What a big difference. I highly recommend ARC for window cleaning.

This was a 3 man team, and they did excellent work! Dave, Jordan, and Kyle are professional, thorough, and friendly! Our windows are so clean, they glisten and shine! We had been wanting the small, wagon wheel windows at the top of our garage door to be cleaned for a long time, and they took care to clean them individually with cloths. Will definitely use them again!

No gutter work was done this time but they have cleaned the house gutters before and they do a great job. The windows looked so bright and clean..never a streak or any mess left behind on floors, window sills, porch, etc. It took many hours to power wash all the areas listed above. This is the first time I have had this work done. Even the grill mat was cleaned and hung to dry. They removed the mold and mildew from the lower deck and porch railings, and from anything else that came to their attention as they worked. I could watch the black water run down my driveway. The pool decking looks new. I have had them do work before but this is the first time for power washing. Because of their great service and good work, I recommend them to family, friends, and neighbors.

I originally called ARC a week ago getting estimates and then I had a scheduling conflict and everything was put on hold for a week or so. I circled back around to ARC when I knew I would be home and scheduled an appointment about a week later. They were flexible with their schedule and arrived during the time frame as stated (within 24 hours), and began the pressure washing and did a wonderful job. Here's a few details to this job: we have a 3-story home, it was a full house pressure washing job, our house backs up to a nature preserve, hence, there was a buildup of green algae-like on our hardy plank on one side. Simply put, this was not an 1 hour job. The fellas were polite and pleasant. Overall, the gist is -- they did a great job and I will hire them again in 6 months or so to pressure wash again. Glad I found them! Thank you ARC!

There was an initial mix-up with scheduling but they were able to come out the next day. Excellent work and the windows have never looked so good.

The crew of 2 were courteous and very professional. They did what was agreed to - power wash the house. And, after completion of the work I did a quick check of the finished work ( work from home) and the house appeared to look good. However, after finishing work, we inspected the house more thoroughly and found the results a little disappointing. I did not request the windows to be washed, but I expected they would at least rinse the windows where the dirty water ran down them. I also had to wash some of the window frames where the dirty water ran down. And, what I thought was still wet siding (mentioned this to the crew leader), looked the same when it was dry (splotchy). In fairness to ARC, I did call the office and let them know I was disappointed after I did a more thorough inspection. They offered to contact the crew and have them come back, but I declined the offer. The price of 250.00 dollars was with the Angie's discount, which I thought was a fair price.

White the crew was late arriving, I really did not hold that against the two men. When they showed up, they checked out what I needed cleaned and when right to work. Great work! Windows are clean and sparkling. They even made a special effort to remove some caulking off the windows in one room. They definitely made me smile. Thank you.
