Description of Work: My Condo heating zone valve would stick open at times so it needed to be replaced.This company was recommended by the condo association. They have done work in the building so they were familiar with the setup. That was the main reason to use them. I told the company before hand of the faulty zone valve and that it will need to be replaced. When the service technician arrived he did not have a valve. He spent about 15 minutes looking for a valve in his truck and then got on the phone to locate one. He had two choices: Grainger or SPS Companies. Grainger was 2 miles and SPS was about 10 miles away. He went to SPS and was gone over 1 hr. When he returned he installed it in about 20 minutes. The part was $79.25 dollars at SPS. So the actual service work time was about 30 minutes total and my bill was $405.00. The time I was billed for was 2.25 hours at $100.00 an hour and a $35.00 call charge. You do the math. Where did $405.00 come from. Does that seem fair. I will leave that up to you. I did call the owner the next day about it and he did reduce the bill to $305.00 and I did except that but I wasn't totally satisfied. My issue is that they should of had the part because it is a common part, they were familiar with the building's heat system, and I told them up front about the faulty valve before they came out. It really should of cost me about $235.00 with the service call, 1 hr of service time, and the part.
