Everything went very smoothly. Jack had looked at the toilet when he was out for a previous call about a faucet and was able to order something that was exactly what I wanted: Very basic but something he knew was well-made and would function well. I appreciated not having to do any shopping and he cleaned up everything nicely after finishing and took the old toilet away. He was also good about calling to let me know when he would be there and was even good with my loud barky dog.

During our bathroom demolition we were a little too aggressive and damaged a pipe. It was a slow leak, but had to be dealt with as our home only has one main shut off. Jack not only answered his phone when I called, but told me he would be over in about an hour (he was already nearby). He had the pipes capped for us and was on his way out within 90 minutes of my phone call. It was just fantastic. Thanks, Jack!

Very good, professional job. I called All Star to ask about a leaking water heater. After a short discussion Jack said he'd be out after 4:00 that afternoon. He explained the situation to me thus we had him install a new water heater. Although he has additional jobs going on he came over after the his days work and helped us with the new water heater. He explained all the safety and operation procedures for us and cleaned up the floor area after he had completed the job. Thanks Jack for a job well done.

I had water leaking into my basement from my kitchen sink. It was a difficult day to find a plumber but they were able to come out the same day. Fortunately, the problem was from a drain and not a water pipe so I did not use that sink until they were able to fix it. They came out and found that the drain pipe was cracked and was leaking where it attached in the basement. It had been one of those extremely cold nights. They said they could fix it and what they would do. They started the work and I had to go to work. He said that they probably would have to come back the next day. But when I got home from work the problem was completely fixed.

An apparently-not-well-enough-insulated water pipe in the ceiling of my garage burst, and luckily I was home at the time and was able to turn the water off in the house within just a minute or 2. I called AllStar Plumbing at around 5:05 p.m. (on a Thursday), and I was able to talk to a human immediately. At first he said that they could get to me the next day - Friday (lots of burst water pipes around town in this cold weather), but then once I told him I lived in Shoreview, he said that he was on his way home to Lino Lakes, and he could stop by in about 10 minutes since I was on his way home. He and another worker arrived in about 10-15 minutes, and they had the burst pipe repaired/replaced within another 15 minutes. They gave me recommendations on how to better insulate that section of pipe, and what insulation to use. I'm sure that they were out of here by 6 p.m. The total cost was $185, after an Angie's List discount, and I was happy to pay it. I was very pleased with their work and with how incredibly fast they were able to get to me. I would definitely use them again.

It's been almost a month now and things have dried out enough that we've repaired two of the wall openings that had to be made. We'll be fixing the last opening within another week or so. This seems to have solved a water problem that we have had for a long time, and hopefully we have now eliminated the water leaks in the bathroom so that we can get new carpeting. Jack is my go-to guy for plumbing. He's prompt, honest and charges a reasonable fee. He may not be the least expensive in all instances, but I think he's well worth what he charges. I recommend him highly.

It was kind of an improper old one that had been there and so it sprung a leak and he came out and put the correct one on there. I would absolutely use them again in the future. I had a leak in my waterline and I spoke to this gentleman a day before he came out and I explained what was happening. I was quite concerned because it was the main line. He spent a lot of time on the phone with me determining what was going on. He made suggestions as to how I could limit or stop the water flow and I was doing those while we were talking on the phone. He told me that he thought it would be fine until he got there the next morning. But, during our conversation, I was kind of concerned about it and he did say that he could come out that night if I would feel better about that but I did tell him it can wait until the next day. He was just very helpful on the phone. He spent a lot of time on the phone with me making sure that I was confident in his suggestions. The city even had to come out and shut of the water in my townhouse building and he worked with the city official very well and the city official left the device they use to turn the water off. Once the city official located it and turned it off, he let the plumber turn it back on when he was finished. He was just a very experienced plumber who was the perfect guy for this job.

I would call him again for plumbing any time. He did a great job and was punctual and economical. I've tried other services and people before, but Jack is now my go-to guy for plumbing. I'm sorry it took so long to get this review posted, I had some difficulties getting onto Angie's List for a while but finally got everything worked out.

This job went very well and was completed quickly. We never know what to expect when we hire a contractor because of the many challenges our house presents so we always expect costs to be high and the project to be complicated. Jack is a very personable guy and I liked him immediately during our first call. He responded to my original message within a reasonable amount of time and then came over the next day to do the assessment. I felt that Jack was very knowledgeable and confident about what needed to be done but he explained the whole process in a way that I could understand as well. He gave me an estimate on the spot and said he was able to fit this job in on the following day if I would be home. I agreed to have them return the next day but Jack said to let him know if we change our minds or have any questions. He and Brian arrived on time in the morning and Jack again made sure I knew what to expect and gave me updates as the work progressed. Jack was very conscientious about details and concerned about my preferences as far as placement of the shut off valves, etc... We agreed ahead of time that my husband and I would do the finishing work inside after everything was installed so Jack willingly gave suggestions about how we should do that and then explained why. Both men never seemed rushed and they seemed committed to the task at hand at all times. The job was finished in less than a full day and the final cost seemed reasonable to us and came in just under the original quote. We are extremely pleased with the work that was done and we will definitely hire them again if needed.

I called Friday afternoon. They were able to squeeze us in on Friday. Jack was great; they were prompt and professional. Would definitely call them again!

I've had Jack from All Star Plumbing do other work at my house. He's been honest and informative. He shares with you what needs to be fixed now, and what can wait. I'd recommend him to anybody.

Jack gave me an estimate on the phone before doing the work, and the actual price came in just under the estimate - which was about half of what another plumber was going to charge me! Jack and his assistant were very professional. They replaced an existing exterior faucet that was starting to leak, and put in a new one on the other side of the house. They arrived when they said the would, cleaned up after themselves, and gave me exactly what I wanted. Jack even took the time to show me how to drain the lines and close things down for winter. I am extremely happy with the work they did, and love having the new faucet on the other side of the house - now I don't have to drag a hose all over the yard!

We are very pleased with the service we got from All Star. After noticing a small pool under the water heater, and noticing that it reappeared when mopped up, I called All-Star. They had an opening that same afternoon and arrived within 1.5 hours of my call. Jack was great in honestly explaining the costs of the heater we chose vs. other products, and Bryan installed the new water heater within 1.5 hours. We appreciated that both of them showed real concern and diligence about making sure all the gas connections were secure and safe. Both explained the safety features of the heater, and Jack left clear information and instructions about how to take advantage of the 6-year manufacturer's warranty that came with our heater.

Replaced the toilet valve, line and a toilet kit in less than fifteen minutes. They were on time and I was very happy to find them that day as all plumbers I called were solidly booked. Small emergency that they took care very well.

I called Jack on a Thursday and he was booked. He asked if I would be available the next Monday and I told him I would. He came out and although it required some engineering completed the job with no snags or suprises!

Needed a new water heater, but wasn't in a big rush for weekend service. Jack came out on a Sunday to survey the situation. Water heater was not in a difficult location - he thought it would take about 2 hours. He gave me a price which I thought was about average from what I'd seen on Angie's List. Next day he returned and installed a new water heater. Did a good job installing - very thorough. Takes pride in his work. I had done some research on water heaters and Jack had indicated he would install a Richmond (made by Rheem). I questioned some of the features and warranty and he assured me that what he installs was good. I assumed he would be installing something of a contractor grade water heater. Nope. I now have the least expensive Richmond water heater that Menards sells. It doesn't even qualify for the Energy Star rating which means higher operating costs and no rebate from Xcel Energy either. Certainly not what I was expecting for the money spent. Jack asked if he could leave the old water heater in the basement to drain (most of the water was already gone). Not sure why I agreed, but I said fine. After 3 weeks of no call to pick it up, I hauled it upstairs myself and left him a voicemail to come get it from my driveway which he did.

It was an excellent experience! We realized our water heater was leaking and needed a replacement that day. They came and replaced our water heater, and included helpful instructions and advice on our overall plumbing situation (we need new pipes). Very efficient and informative. We will call Jack when we are ready to have our pipes replaced!!

Jack repaired my kitchen faucet last year when it was broken so I was happy to call him again when I discovered my shower was leaking. He and Brian arrived early and worked quickly. Not only did they take care of the shower leak, they noticed a leak in my bathroom sink and fixed that as well. Will definitely be using them again!

Jack and Brian came and investigated. Thought it might be the shower drain so he repaired and said wait 24 hours to use the shower and see what happens and call him. I used the other upstairs shower and still got a leak. Turned out all the water draining from upstairs caused leaking in the basement. Jack was very cautious about tearing into walls or getting into something that would be expensive unless it really had to be done. He started in the basement near the leak and worked his way up. Finally they found a nail hole in the stack coming down from the upstairs. Only had a few small wall holes that were easy to repairs. He was clean, timely and professional. While he was there, he checked the water heater which turned out to be leaking. A small leak so I hadn't noticed. He tightened a few things and said to give him a call if the leak continued. Jack is not in a rush to turn it into a big job for more money. He wants to do the right work in the right way.

All Star Plumbing Repair & Remodeling did a fantastic job. He took time to look at my new water heater. He spent time teaching me about it. I called him because it wasn't working. It ended up just being turned off. So he told me how to turn it on. He charged $50.00 or whatever the service call charge was. He gave me a list of things I should look for and how to take the panel off of it, so that the next time, I could just do it myself.

The water main coming into the house, just out of the floor, was 90 years old and sprung a leak. I called on Sunday afternoon, and we were able to set up a 9am Monday morning appointment. The man with whom I spoke attempted to help me remedy the situation over the phone, but the situation was serious enough that I had already shut off the water to the house. They arrived, and initially quoted me a $250-300 price to replace the leaking section of pipe. In the process of removing the offending section, more pipe broke off and was revealed to be corroded. There was a brief period when it was unclear how much work was going to need doing. I said if it was going to become a large job, thinking that replacing the main all the way to the street was a possibility, I would have to take bids. He was very understanding, and said that he would be able to charge me for an hour of investigation that would at least put me in a position to take bids. When it was clear that the main from the street was modern, a quote of $500-600 was given to replace a larger section of the main. They went and got the pipe, returned and installed a functioning water main by noon. The price was $600. They were courteous, professional, and I will call them again in the future if I have plumbing issues.

We had new granite put in yesterday so they came in and hooked up the sink and the disposal. We really thought they were great. Jack is the owner. He was very personable and flexible. He is prompt and professional and did really good work.

Great Service! I have three small children and could not go days waiting for the repair. Called them on Saturday noon, they had the work completed by Sunday at 10am. $1400 was very reasonable for the energy efficient unit they installed on very litle notice. Thank You!
