Fine, at first. The bid of $1600 was the highest of the three we received, but we went with All Star because of the great reviews on Angie's List. I would always prefer to pay more for quality and expertise, as long as it's worth it. The trash disposal and new sink and faucet are fine. Jack had trouble with the toilet since it had been installed improperly, mentioning that it was hard to get level. After a few months, the toilet started rocking. If I had understood then what I know now, I would have called him immediately, but it was only when I saw the large sewage leak and mold in the finished ceiling of our basement below the toilet that I understood the gravity of the situation. I immediately shut off the water and called Jack. He couldn't make it out for a few days. When he did come, he discovered that the new flange, which he had replaced seven months earlier, was "bad." He fixed it, which was great, but then he billed us an additional $450 to install a new flange. No warranty of his previous work. When I sent him a note asking why we were getting billed such a high price for a simple job -- and for work that should have been warranted in the first place, I got no response. Not at all what I expected for all the money I had paid him. In addition, I had to pay for mold remediation work, a new ceiling, and painting. This has been a nightmare, and I hate feeling like I've been taken for a ride.

All Star Plumbing fixed a previous owner's shoddy work and made things right. Brian and Gary were knowledgeable and friendly and my inner neat freak rejoiced at how well they cleaned up afterward. Well done, All Star!

All work was well executed and timely. Jack was professional and easy to work with.

I called All-Star at 7:30 pm tonight after finding a basement catastrophe. Jack answered and said he could swing by the next day because he would be in the neighborhood. I described the problem in detail. Jack cut to the chase—he asked if I felt up to the challenge of solving the problem myself. He said that with these shut off valves it’s usually a quick fix that I could handle without a plumber. He offered two solutions that he said usually fixes the problem and stayed on the phone while I fumbled through both. After about 10 minutes of coaching, I got it fixed. Clearly, Jack sees that his mission is to solve customers problems, and that is something I really appreciate. He offered me free advice and some patient coaching. I will be calling him in the future when I need plumbing services, that is for sure.

Jack was very professional and made sure I understood everything that was happening.

Well. We called them for the sink we wanted, and they had it in stock and held if for us.

I would give him all A's but it is hard for me to know the pricing because i did not have it competitively bid out. I just accepted what the charge was. The guy used to live 4 houses down from us, knew us, did the job well.

It was all fine, they were not here long. They got back quickly and did it quickly and its working fine.

They did a great job. Were very friendly and showed me how I could install a valve myself to turn off water to the faucet.

We had to go with a toilet replacement, which will happen within the week (excellent response time). We are very confident we will be happy with the final product.

I liked them. I am going to be calling him again soon.

Not only was the sillcock installed improperly (twice), but All Star blamed me for the problems even after I pointed out the incorrect pitch in Spring 2016 and was told that was not a problem. We have not only incurred the cost of an incorrect installation the first time, but also a failed second repair, a third repair by a different plumber, and the cost of repairing a very expensive piano. I shared all of this information with All Star two months ago, and I have received zero response.

Excellent. Responded quickly to call. Was very professional and when it was a simple fix did not charge me for the service call. Jack will be my go to plumber.

He arrived early but called ahead to make sure that was ok. After fixing the toilet, he offered some info about better models than the one I have. He was friendly and professional.

He came within 1-2 days as scheduled, replaced it for the agreed price, we have been very happy with the job.

All Star Plumbing responded immediately, coming to drain the heater the same day, and completing the work the next day. Very professional and thorough, with replacing needed piping, connections, etc., in order to be up to code (home 1955). He also turned in necessary form for rebate. Very pleasant to do business with! I would definitely hire again. Replaced water heater with a good quality Richmond Rheem.

The problem (loose bolts holding the tank in place) was diagnosed and fixed within 15 minutes. I was almost embarrassed to have called a plumber for such a minor problem. I was reassured by Jack that the call was appropriate. He gave me a special price, since I was a first time customer. I will definitely use All Star Plumbing again should the need arise.

Great service and friendly but they charged me $1500 when they bought the heater at Menards for $400! I saw the receipt. That's a bit too much of a mark-up for me.

The plumber was good. It took a little longer than estimated and he cleared the floor drain as much as he could. He informed us that there was likely another clog in our main sewer line and provided a reference for us. Service was good and professional.

We moved into a new house and on the first night in the house we had major plumbing problems. The sink and toilet in one bathroom leaked through the floor into the basement laundry room, and even worse, at 11:00 PM at night the shower drain in the other bathroom completely flooded another section of the basement, all over the boxes we had moved in only hours before. We were devastated (especially since we had the home inspected prior to purchase). Early the next morning I began calling the highly rated plumbers I found on Angie's List. Jack from All Star Plumbing was the first to call me back (within 15 minutes of my call). He was at our house in an hour. Just diagnosing the problems with the drain pipes was a challenge that required cutting into sheetrock and removing ceilings in our basement. At each step of the way he showed us what he was doing and what he found. What he found was completely rusted out drain pipes and a mess of water and sewage damage in our ceilings. To make a long story short, he ended up replacing all of the drain pipes from our two bathrooms (toilets, sinks, shower/bath). He had to cut through a number of the old galvanized water pipes to access the drain pipes. So, after some discussion, we decided to replace all of the water pipes while the ceilings were open and the basement was already a construction zone. Jack's assistant Gary was also amazing. He replaced the ceiling carefully piece by piece, put in new sheet rock in our bathrooms, and did great finishing work. They put down tarps and were careful to clean up each day and at the end of the job. We appreciated that they worked in sections so that we could use our plumbing every night and morning. This was a really difficult time for us, as we were excited about our new home and stunned by this immediate and significant problem. Jack helped us to document everything carefully in case we needed records to seek relief from the home seller. He and Gary were both incredibly kind and understanding. And they were fun - Gary started bringing dog treats every day for our dogs. I would highly recommend All Star Plumbing to anyone. In fact, I already have. They are helping my aunt to remodel her bathroom this summer. I have since called and ask Jack's advice on other items, and I know I have found my plumbers for all future jobs! Don't hesitate to call them. This is the best service provider that I have ever found using Angie's List.

Went well. The sink and faucet I purchased were commercial grade rather than residential. He was able to work through the difference and procure the appropriate kit to get the job done well.

I called at 7Pm and they arrived at 9AM the next morning. All old pipes leading to the hot water heater and the hot water heater was replaced by noon. Did a great job!

I woke up this morning with no hot water. After checking the hot water heater and finding that the pilot light had gone out, I followed the directions to relight. After 3 tries, I called my furnace company (Boehm Heating) for a recommendation for a plumber. They gave me two numbers. I called the first and they said they couldn't possibly get here until Monday (this is Thursday). So I called the second number. Jack the owner of All Star Plumbing answered, listened to my problem and said he would stop by over lunch as he was working in the neighborhood. He came by at noon and also couldn't get the pilot to stay lit. He said he thought it was the thermocouple and that he could come by after work and try that fix. He called a little before six and by 6:45 I had a working water heater. Jack was so nice and professional. We discussed the age of my water heater and the probable need to replace in the near future. I appreciate that he took the time to swing by while on another job to look at my issue. I will definitely have him back in the future for my plumbing needs.
