We couldn't be more pleased with the work of Jay and the All Stages team. We've had both good and bad experiences with contractors over the years, but Jay blew us away with his very thorough, attentive, communicative, and detailed work. We had a lot of very specific ideas about the project, including materials, a new floor plan, and a desire to use materials that are somewhat in line with the original period of the house (in other words, we can be a little 'particular', especially considering our tight budget), and Jay was extroardinarily patient/helpful in guiding us through the process, and we really got the impression that he wanted to realize the vision we had for our bathroom as much as we did. There were numerous instances where Jay really went above and beyond all expectations on the project- working long hours to ensure a speedy return of our only bathroom, successfully going back to the city to get them to reconsider an exemption to a vague code, driving across town late in the evening to help us out in a bind (that was our fault), communicating every aspect of progress and decision-making/changes related to the project, effectively managing relationships with plumber/electrician, I could really go on and on here- he is really a great guy that is wanting to grow a business that is somewhat new to this area, and he takes great pains to ensure that he is attentive to and meeting/exceeding the needs/desires of his customers. We've had a few months to enjoy our new bathroom (and updated kitchen)- we are thrilled with the results that Jay and his team delivered and hope to continue working with them for years to come (with a 100 year old house, there are always projects!).

Jay/All Stages oversaw and acted as general contractor for all aspects of a total remodel of our small bathroom (walls torn down to studs, ceiling, floor, and window removed). Work performed included demolition, insulation, drywall and backer board installation (to finish), bumping out a wall two feet and reframing, building of a built-in storage unit, installation of floor/wall tile (subway, hexagonal), marble shelves, and beadboard; finish carpentry, painting, installation of new glass block window, and various other odds and ends. Jay also did a couple of projects in our kitchen, including installation of rear entry door and locks, repair/install of door casing/trim, stain work, and installation of new crown molding.
