AIR MASTERS INC

This company does contract work for Center Point Energy so there is no direct payment to Air Masters. The installer (Tom) arrived at the appointed time. He was very friendly and I immediately felt comfortable having him do the installation. He explained that he was working alone today. I asked if there was anything I could help with and he told me that there was not. Tom got to work right away. He laid down a large drop-sheet on my basement steps since he'd also be working in the basement. I am a smoker but don't smoke in the house. Tom also smokes but with out even asking he could tell that I didn't smoke inside so he would smoke only outdoors. He got the job done in about four hours and then explained to me that in about two weeks I would receive in the mail something from the city inspector and what to do when that came. Tom obviously cares about his work. It is a very neat installation and works perfectly. Tom cleaned up everything and took the old unit away.

The bottom line is that I was dissatisfied because Air Masters charged me without diagnosing the problem. I had a technician come out from another company, and he found that the refrigerant was low. Additionally, the Air Masters technician didn't use a thermometer on the vent to measure the air temperature, he just used his hand! Unfortunately I didn't realize how unprofessional this was until after he left. The technician from the company who fixed it measured the temperature at the vents and across the evaporator coil. Finally, I wasn't called when the second technician was running late. I understand that jobs can run long, but they should at least call within the two hour window.
