Description of Work: They poured a concrete driveway, sidewalk and small patio. 6 months after the completion of the project, there are some issues that have concerned us. One is that Able forgot to put the rebar--which was on the contract--in the first half of the driveway. I had to point that mistake out to the crew, who was apologetic about the error. They did include rebar in the rest of the driveway. Another was that the crew allowed the chute from the cement truck to catch our back step railing, which tore the railing from its foundation in the steps. They later repaired this by patching it back in and it seems to be holding fine. As I write this review at the beginning of March, one other concern has come up. The new driveway now has diagonal cracks across four of the pads that started in January of this year. The driveway has also heaved about an inch in the center and dropped correspondingly on the edges, and the controlled cut down the center has cracked and opened up a 1/4 inch crevasse between the two slabs. The cracks, heaving and crevasse are all in the area where Able failed to install rebar. I talked with the owner, Dale, about this by phone last week. He said this was all due to the weather this year (rain, freezing and thawing) and that the rebar would not have helped in this situation. I, of course, no nothing about concrete, so I'll have to take him at his word. Dale was easy to talk to about this and he said he would come by in April to assess the situation. In that regard, I've always found the folks at Able Concrete to be accessible and responsive to the questions and concerns that I've raised.

They did a quick and professional job. We also needed to have the cracks in the garage floor sealed, and they offered to do it, of course, but also recommended a product that I could use from the local hardware store, and did, to do it myself for $30 to seal the cracks

Crew arrived on time and performed work. We used a level to verify slope and flush between slabs. However during the next few days one of the slabs (middle of a string of 5 slabs) settled lower than the rest. ABLE agreed to return and raise the settled slab. However to date, 9/11, and after numerous unreturned calls, they have not corrected the problem. On 9/13 Able Concrete returned and raised the settled slab. The crew was friendly and professional. In the end my main concern is the lack of communication/responsiveness as to when the settled slab would be corrected. I obtained a commitment to correct on 8/17 but during the next three weeks did not get updates or returned calls for scheduling until 2 days before they came out.

It was perfect. They came within a couple of days. They were $100 cheaper than everyone else I talked to. They did an excellent job. After I had researched and called them, they came within a couple of days later. They gave me an estimate and then they came within a couple of days to do the sidewalk. The service was better than I expected. I never knew that they were here just because they were in and out and there were no mess left behind.
Description of Work: Able Concrete Raising came out to lift my sidewalk because it was leaning the wrong way. They tilted it a little bit away from my house.

They did the work as estimated and went above and beyond as I decided to have a larger apron poured than initially thought I wanted. They adjusted the estimate which I thought was very fair and was able to pour the 2nd apron without any problems.
Description of Work: I had Able Concrete add a driveway apron to my driveway in front of my house and also had them pour an apron for a service door and another garage door. They were very prompt and showed up on time when they said they would and both employees were very professional and got right to work. This is the second time I had used them as they also do concrete raising which I had done about 4 years ago and the work they did for me them is still holding up as well. I would use them again.

Able Concrete has been a pleasure to work with! They responded quickly to our request for a bid on the project which consisted of the replacement of driveway aprons in front of two garages. A written bid of their services was provided, which was much appreciated. They were very good at returning calls and e-mails regarding the scheduling of the project. Once the work date was scheduled, they were very punctual, completed the job and left the job site in the same condition as they found the homes yards and driveways. No messes left to clean up! They even went the ‘extra mile’ to take care of an unexpected problem. We would recommend Able to anyone looking for their services

Contracted to mudjack a sidewalk area, replace driveway sections, and caulk around house. We signed paperwork in June and work was not completed until mid-September. The mudjacking (completed Sept. 9) and caulking (completed 9/16) were ok (though done much later than promised), but the driveway sections (completed the end of Sept.) are cracked and bright white color so do not blend at all w/ the rest of the driveway. Phone calls were never returned in a timely manner. While they agreed that the color was bad, I was told they never know what the color will be. We should have been told that. The cracks apparently aren't large enough to warrant re-doing. It was not a good experience and we are not pleased with the results. The driveway is an eyesore as you look at our house and for the neighborhood.

He came within 24 hours of my call and was very nice. He bid $1400 which sounded better than new concrete to me(We needed to mudjack the front steps, sidewalk, 3 car garage and garage apron). I was surprised when I got my next 2 bids at $910 and $835(And the $910 company ranks well on Angie's).

The communication wasn't that great, I wasn't sure when they were coming, but I guess it didn't matter since it was work done outside my home. The mud-jacking was great, looks good, exactly what I wanted. But I also wanted the crack between the house and the sidewalk sealed, and even though they came back to seal the cracks between the little sidewalk pieces (for an extra $150), they never sealed the large crack. When I called to ask why/what happened, I was told that they don't seal cracks greater than 2 inches wide. This would have been nice to know initially, since I then had to spend another $500 on a handyman to seal this crack for me.

They did a good job on our walk (required several drilled areas). Our original contact with them was not favorable due to communication issues with their office staff. As a result, they did not come as originally promised. To make the situation "right" with us, they gave us a discount on the job (would have been $300) -- ultimately, we were satisfied with the work.

I was in the process of selling my home - during the truth-in-housing inspection, it was brought to my attention that my front step was too high. The sidewalk in front of the step had sunk over time. I found this company on Angie's List and had them come out and raise the step for me. I contacted them over their email address. They were not as responsive from that method as I would have hoped they would be. It took about two weeks for them to come out to look at the sidewalk and then another two weeks to complete the work. They did a good job and the work was completed quickly once they got here. However, the workers were gruff and not as courteous as the person who originally quoted the order to me. As soon as they completed the job, it started to rain. They were just about to pull away when one of the workers came back to and told me to put Styrofoam cups over the new concrete patches if it rained any harder. It was my judgment call at that point - that should have been their job.

SCHEDULING WAS A HASSLE, SINCE I WAS NEVER ACTUALLY GIVEN A DATE UNTIL I CALLED AND ASKED. I HAD TO CALL THE DAY THEY WERE TO COME TO GET A TIME, SO I WASN'T TRAPPED AT HOME ALL DAY AND NEVER GOT A RETURN CALL. HOWEVER, WHEN THE CREW SHOWED UP, THEY WERE COURTEOUS, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND DID A VERY NICE JOB.

A TEAM OF TWO PERFORMED THE WORK. THE WERE VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. ONE OF THE SIDEWALK SQUARES WAS QUITE DIFFICULT TO GET LEVEL, BUT THEY KEPT AT IT UNTIL IT WAS RIGHT. THE JOB SITE WAS LEFT VERY NEAT AND CLEAN. THEY EVEN WASHED THE DRIVEWAY AND CURB BEFORE LEAVING. WE WERE IMPRESSED WITH THE WORK, AND THE SIDEWALK LOOKS VERY NICE NOW. WE GOT WRITTEN ESTIMATES FROM THREE DIFFERENT COMPANIES. ABLE WAS NOT LOWEST WRITTEN ESTIMATE, BUT THEY MATCHED THE LOWEST WRITTEN ESTIMATE
