Barabra provided very detail cost breakdown first time we called. Once we decided to go with them, Lina helped to make the next day service. Will was 15mins late but he called in advance. Once arrived, he explained to us what need to be done (and when need not to be done). It took him approximately 40 minitues to complete the job. He was professional and friendly. Overall experience was excellent.

Went just fine. Arrived at the agreed time, had exactly the parts needed to do the job on hand. Completed the job in a little over an hour and charged a fair price, I can't ask for any more than that.

A-1 answered the call placed to the office and immediately scheduled me for the following week. When I had a conflict come up, I called and they scheduled me for the next day. Will showed up on time, and completed the work in less than two hours. On the front door, we had an antique door knob and deadbolt that no longer worked, and were very beat-up, in addition to the Schlage deadbolt. Since the new handle did not match up with the holes that were already in the door for the antique lock, he used a brass plate that he had in the truck to cover up the holes and the result was looked very good. Will was professional, efficient, had the materials he needed, and cleaned up after himself.

Went very well. All the work was done by the time promised. All the locks work smoothly. Will mentioned that one of the other locksets broke when he was working on it. He installed a used lockset and did not charge us for the used item or his time on that part of the job. I appreciate his letting me know what happened and resolving it without me having to argue with him about it.

I called them the week we closed on our new house, and they made time to come out right after the closing. He had to change one of the locks because we wanted them all keyed the same and that lock was incompatible. The whole thing was quick (maybe an hour), and easy.

They were great, the pricing was competitive, they were quick to get the work done and it was done well. I was pleased and would recommend them to anyone.

When I called first thing in the morning, they were able to send someone over right away. The man first tried to replace just the latch to save us some money, but our old lock wouldn't fit it. He showed me a variety of brand names of locks and suggested one that wouldn't require us to have all our keys replaced. He was nice and professional. I was very happy with the service.

Very well. Friendly, answered questions (on phone and in person). Arrived on time and finished in just over an hour. Everything was more than satisfactory.

Will was very polite and amiable. He ran a little late, but the dispatcher callled and let me know which I appreciated. New part: $10. Trip charge: $60. I would use A-1 again.

Marvelous. I telephoned at around 8:45am and Will arrived at 10am as promised. He was cordial, friendly, calm and confident in a tough situation. He examined my doors, told me what was needed, how long it would take and asked how many new keys I would need. He went to his van, got the new locks, installed them, said he would need to go to the van to make the keys and would be back in 10 minutes. He was back in ten minutes, handed me three keys and asked me to try each one in all 4 locks to make certain they turned easily while he went to his van to make out the invoice. The locks work better than the original ones. The price wasn't as important to me as the immediacy, however, given that he arrived within an hour, competently took care of the problem and was pleasant while doing so while replacing both locks and keys seemed well worth the cost.

Two men showed up. I am not sure why there were two, but it went well. In a short while I had a non-sticking bolt and was happy.

I had broken off the key to my front door during cold weather, when my door wasn't closing properly, so I found A-1 on Angie's List and it wasn't too far away, so I called them and they said they could come by within three hours. They were at my house in about two hours and got the broken key out of the lock pretty quickly. They had said a service call would be $65, but because retrieving the broken key was fairly quick work, they also dismantled and cleaned and oiled the lock, filed down a burr in a key had recently had copied and filed the deadbolt hole in the door jamb, so closing the door wasn't so difficult, which caused the key to be broken in the first place.

It went just fine. He was pleased when I told him I'd gotten his name from Angie's list. I asked why he didn't have the company name on his van and he said that sometimes people don't want other people to know they are having new house keys made.

Not only did they repair the locks, but they gave me extra advice on lock maintenance, key duplications, and so on. They even made minor repairs to the door frame so that the door aligns better. In general, they provided "added value" in addition to simply changing my locks and cutting some new keys. When I have any additional need for a locksmith, I will definitely call Duane Lindstrom and Will Aho.

It went really well. They made it on the spot and it was very inexpensive.

Two workmen appeared right on schedule and immediately assessed the problems with both locks and door handles. One was quickly repaired. The other required a trip to the shop to search for parts so the same unit could be used as it matches other latches in the house. They returned later and installed a perfectly functioning unit, rebuilt from the inside out but looked exactly as it had. I was pleased with their honesty and persistence. They were determined to find material that would match our present doors. The cost was a bit more than I had anticipated because they had to return to the shop and make a second trip. To their credit, they only charged for 1.5 trips which was less costly than the full two trips they legitimately could have charged.

It went very well. They showed up on time, efficiently changed locks, and left promptly.

They were fine, when they finally responded. After a month, I still haven't been billed, and I have left messages about another job I needed done with no callback whatsoever.

I called for help with repair of a lock, which is no longer made. They could not help with the repair (no company was able to), but they offered an alternative, which I have since implemented myself. I appreciated them taking the time to think about my problem and offer an alternative.

ON TIME, POLITE, HAD HELPFUL SUGGESTIONS TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF KEYS I NEEDED FROM 4 TO 1 USING MASTER KEYS. CAME AT NIGHT BUT ASKED ONLY FOR DAY TIME RATES. A GREAT EXPERIENCE! LUBRICATED BOLTS SO THEY ALL WORK BETTER AND TAUGHT ME HOW TO MAINTAIN THEM. I CAN'T JUDGE PRICE BECAUSE I DIDN'T COMPARISON SHOP!

TALKED TOO MUCH AND TOO LONG. CHARGED $45 FOR 15 MINUTES WORK. I DON'T KNOW THE GOING RATE. I DON'T KNOW IF HE GAVE ME THE DISCOUNT.

THE LOCKSMITH WAS VERY KIND AND HELPFUL. HE MET ME AT MY HOUSE AND I WAS A FEW MINUTES LATE SO HE WAITED ON THE PORCH. HE DIDN'T MIND THE ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD OF SMALL CHILDREN RUNNING BACK AND FORTH WHILE HE WORKED. HE SPENT A LOT OF TIME GIVING ME SUGGESTIONS AS TO HOW TO MAKE THE DOOR/LOCK WORK PROPERLY.

BOTH MY WIFE AND I INDEPENDENTLY CALLED THE NUMBER LISTED HERE AND LEFT BOTH OUR HOME PHONE NUMBER AND MY NUMBER AT WORK. WE NEVER EVEN RECEIVED A RETURN CALL.

DUANE WAS EARLY, TALKATIVE AND ENTHUSIASTIC, AND DONE IN ABOUT 15 MIN. I HAVE USED A-1 IN THE PAST--THEY HAVE ALWAYS PROVIDED EXCELLENT SERVICE, AND THIS TIME WAS NO EXCEPTION.

THE GENTLEMAN WHO DID THE WORK CALLED TO SEE IF HE COULD COME EARLY. EXCELLENT WORK. WAS COMPLETED QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY. VERY PROFESSIONAL. COST WAS AS QUOTED OVER THE PHONE.
