+ -1 moreTHE CONTRACTOR COMMUNICATED POORLY, DIDN'T MEET THE SCHEDULE, AND ON THE DAY OF INSTALLATION REFUSED TO INSTALL THE CABINET MATERIALS UNLESS PAID IN ADVANCE. IT'S THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER SUFFERED.
Description of Work: ON THE DAY OF INSTALLATION, THE LEAD MAN GAVE ME THE INVOICE AND SAID HE WAS SUPPOSED TO COLLECT A CHECK FOR THE BALANCE. I WAS SURPRISED, AND REPLIED THAT I WOULD PAY THE BALANCE WHEN THEY HAD COMPLETED THE WORK. HE SAID HE'D HAVE TO HAVE THE SALESMAN CALL ME, I SAID FINE, HAVE HIM CALL ME. HE CALLED ME AND TOLD ME THAT I HAD TO PAY THE BALANCE IN ADVANCE FOR THE INSTALLERS TO PROCEED AND THAT WE HAD DISCUSSED THAT THE DAY BEFORE. I REPLIED THAT HE HAD TOLD ME HE WAS SENDING THE INVOICE WITH THE INSTALLERS AND THAT HE HADN'T SAID ANYTHING ABOUT HAVING TO PAY THE BALANCE BEFORE THE WORK WAS COMPLETED. HE ADVISED ME TO READ MY CONTRACT, WHICH I THEN READ ALOUD OVER THE PHONE TO HIM, 1/2 DOWN AND 1/4 IN 4 WEEKS IN CASH PRIOR TO DELIVERY. I TOLD HIM THAT I HAD MADE THE PAYMENTS SPECIFIED IN THE CONTRACT ($4,500) PRIOR TO DELIVERY AND WOULD MAKE THE FINAL PAYMENT WHEN THEY COMPLETED THE WORK. THEY REFUSED TO INSTALL AND LEFT.
