Dave and his son Dawson surpassed our expectations for the installation of our new wood floors! Their attention to detail and expertise in their affirmed our decision to replace our laminate flooring with real wood floors. Additionally, Dave was extremely helpful when the project took an unexpected turn and required removing a portion of the countertop to replace some rotted sub-flooring. He found a countertop installer for us and removed and reinstalled the cabinets himself. They were professional in every way and we were very comfortable having them work in our home. I highly recommend Illi Hardwood Flooring and would hire them again without hesitation.

We highly recommend Illi Hardwood Flooring for both Hardwood floors and for Finished Carpentry. Our initial agreement was to remove carpet and install hardwood floors in our second story. A part of that agreement included removing carpet and refinishing the stairway from first to second. When the carpet was removed, we were surprised, the stairs needed to be totally rebuilt. David kept us informed promptly when unexpected challenges arose with the stairs, listened to our preferences, presented alternatives and estimates, completed the work in time for the next contractor on our project, and made sure we were happy with the result. The floors are beautiful and the stairway is a work of art! We will be hiring Illi Hardwood Flooring for any future floor and carpentry projects that arise!

David and his crew went above and beyond to make sure our floors turned out amazing! They went out of their way working extra hours to fix a problem that came up with the previous finish on the floors (which was in no way their fault). We cannot recommend them enough! David went above and beyond to make sure what was a relatively minor repair from a dishwasher leak went smoothly. He was quick to respond and very professional. I appreciated his transparency and would fully recommend Illi hardwood Flooring for jobs big and small.

I hired David Illi twice, once for a complete floor installation for my house (with carpet removal), and again for a partial floor replacement when I had water damage from a roof leak. David consistently goes above and beyond. He is very responsive, professional, and accommodating of project additions. His attention to detail is evident throughout my flooring and baseboards. He completed both projects in record time, his pricing is very competitive, and he always leaves the project area clean. I highly recommend him for any flooring projects.

It went very well. They kept to their schedule, began on Monday and were finished on Wednesday with a follow up on Thursday morning. It was a big job that was done by professionals. We are very pleased!

If I could give Illi Hardwood Flooring 10 stars I would. We had existing red oak floors in our entryway, hallway, and kitchen. We wanted to extend it to our living room, dining room, and front sitting room and wanted to get rid of the dreaded yellow-orange color. Dave removed the carpet and did an amazing job feathering in the new floor to match the existing. He was extremely patient with the tough color choice decision and put lots of stain samples (even mixes of colors) down for us. Unfortunately, the color I thought we wanted just didn’t work when seeing it on the whole floor. Dave was very accommodating and worked with us on options. We decided to sand off the first color and go with something darker that better complemented the rest of our fixed elements. Dave had to rearrange his schedule to do this but said he just wanted us to be happy with end result. And we are- extremely happy! The floor is gorgeous. I HIGHLY recommend Dave for your flooring project. It’s just Dave and his son and his nephew- just 3 guys that do all the work and obviously take pride in their work. If you can get on his schedule- do it. You’ll be extremely happy with the end result.

Illi Hardwood Flooring just replaced all the flooring on my main level. I cannot recommend them enough. I’m so in love with my floor! The owner was quick (and reasonable) with his estimate. We got the estimate back from him within a few days of his initial visit to our home. He is definitely busy like all contractors are now, but we were able to get on the schedule about 2-2.5 months out, which isn’t bad at all. His estimate was based on replacement with the same wood species, but at the time he purchased the materials, an upgraded wood was available within our cost estimate. He contacted us to ask if we wanted to upgrade, rather than just pocketing the extra savings. Talk about building trust!! His crew was prompt every day, professional yet friendly, very meticulous with their work, and the owner was on site daily working right alongside them. There were no delays, the project was done within the time frame they gave us, and the finished floor is absolutely gorgeous!

David and his son did an excellent job refinishing the main level of my 100yo home’s original floors. The job was started on the promised date and the finished product exceeded my expectations. The only problem now is that I feel guilty walking on the floor…..

We had a tight window to complete the work as we planned to move into the house. Dave showed up for estimate as promised and locked the work days to complete the project prior to move in. He did a great job on sanding down the floors and changed the color to a more modern look. Very happy with his work and would hire him again.

Illi Hardwood was hired to totally refinish the wood floor in our entryway, our kitchen, and our dining area. They did an absolute fantastic job. Dave gave us an accurate estimate for their services, which was the final bill. They arrived promptly when scheduled and completed the project in the time stated. Illi has the latest equipment for sanding and refinishing wood floors including an excellent dust recovery system. They removed the old finish and stain from the wood floor using a variety of sanders with multiple trips and we ended up with no dust in our house. The sanding was done to perfection with no ridges, cuts or chatter marks in the floor and with the floor exceptional even with no waves. They edged right to the shoe molding and hand scraped the areas the equipment would not reach. They accurately matched the stain we needed and then finished it perfectly. Our floor looks better today than it did when originally installed over 25 years ago. We would use them again in a minute and would highly recommend them.

David did an outstanding job of refinishing and restoring approximately 600sf of worn and damaged oak flooring. He was professional in every way and delivered exactly what he promised. He and his crew were very prompt, timely and left our home clean and as dust free as possible. The final product looks fabulous and we have received many compliments from our family and friends. His pricing was extremely competitive as well and I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to anyone I know. Do yourself a favor and consider David.

David and Loren did an excellent job! We are thrilled with our floors in our new home as they are gorgeous! We have high standards for quality service and David and Loren definitely impressed us and met our highest standards. Our project had some complications as we discovered once the carpet was removed in our family room that the sub floor was bad had to be torn up and a new one put in. David and Loren were not flustered but rather went out bought new wood, tore up the old floor and put in a new floor, adding two additional days to the project. They took out an old radiator, patched in the floor and put in quarter rounds and baseboards. Their work ethic was stellar. Each day they arrived on time or early, stayed late and communicated with us throughout the process. They are perfectionists and professionals through and through. Prior to deciding on a company I read through many reviews and no other business had the high reviews of Illi Hardwood Flooring. I'd recommend them to anyone with great enthusiasm. Look no further.

It was perfect! Our house is 38 years old and needed a facelift in the kitchen and family room! David did a great job! He came when he said he would and even worked until 10:00pm on a Saturday to finish the job. The floors look fabulous! I would highly recommend David Illi!
