+ -1 moreThey were great. They were on time and after they repaired it the first time there ended up a leak. There was a piece of the sink that they had not plumbed the first time that actually ended up being the source of the leak instead of all the plumbing that they originally did. They came back out and fixed that for free for us. They came right out the next day after I called them just to make sure that it was not anything that they had done.
Description of Work: B & D Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning Incorporated came out and did some plumbing work for us. We had new countertops installed until we had to rid out our old kitchen faucet drain and replace it.

They do a thorough job of checking and cleaning the A/C and heating system once a year. I have called them for emergency situations as well--leaking of humidifier, non functioning heater in the middle of winter--and every time they are very responsive and fix the problem right away. Wonderful service, thank you!

Description of Work: After having them replace our water softener a few weeks ago, they were extremely prompt in responding to my online call request (7:05am Monday) over the weekend for a cracked water line. After showing up before the time they scheduled (early is good in my book), they had the water line and two toilets fixed in under an hour.

+ -1 moreB & D was a wonderful and professional company from the estimator to the scheduler and most impressively the technician. I had a question after the technician left our home and spoke with the scheduler, he couldn't answer my question by phone so he offered to come out to my home to help me, and within 25 minutes was at my door! I didn't think that type of customer service was still around, but B & D surpassed all of my expectations. Their work was impeccable and they were always on time. My bathroom was left very clean when everything had been completed. I would highly recommend B & D plumbing and would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: B & D installed two sinks, faucets, drains, a shower tower, tub faucet and tub drain, also installed a toilet. They also moved some plumbing for our bathroom remodel.

+ 0 moreWe called several companies for estimates. B&D was the only one that we felt was more concerned with helping us meet our needs. The others seemed more interested in selling us their systems than understanding our needs. We used B&D with great success, but due to the amt of money we were spending decided to get some more estimates on this job. B&D was in the price range, if not less than, the other estimates we received and there were no hidden costs. Both Eric and Toby were very helpful and prompt in getting back to us regarding our questions as we were comparing other companies and water systems. They will be our first and only call for any future needs.
Description of Work: We needed a water softener, iron filtrations system, new well pressure tank, and reverse osmosis system for a foreclosed home that had been vacant for a year.

+ -1 moreMIke was friendly, courteous and explained clearly his thought process throughout. He arrived quickly. He also put up with me picking his brain about the boiler in my own home. He wrote everything out for my parents return.
Description of Work: I arrived at my parents cabin (winterized two years ago) for a winter retreat while they are away snowbirding to find the heat had turned off and the water not working. I called the company who installed the boiler who could not come out (saturday) but recommended B + D. I was desperate and knew I would not be able to make the trip back again soon. Mike from B +D came out quickly and although he made no promises as he was not farmiliar with the brand of boiler, he was able to troubleshoot and diagnose a low pressure trigger that had turned off the system. I was lucky the temperature inside had only dropped down to 40 degrees so the inside pipes were fine. The water was frozen from the street ( a reoccuring problem). We ended up rigging a hose from the neighbors spicket after turning on their water to correct the pressure problem. We now have evidence of a slow leak suspected since instillation.

+ -1 moreWOW! What a terrible experience. First, Apparently "you" (me) have to "understand" that they don't work on an hourly basis but rather an "cost per item" basis. We HAD to have our furnace fixed and the water main repaired and thought it would be cost effective to have them do the other few items while on site. HECK NO! Based on how long it took him to do the two items, what he charged, and what he was going to charge for the other 3 items, AND what we've been told about how long it should take... HE would have been getting over $225 per HOUR in labor from us!?!?!? Yes, materials were (and would be) extra. We kindly had the two items attended to and declined further service.
Description of Work: Repaired & Cleaned Furnace, Repaired leak in water main, gave quote for repairing 2 outside faucets and fixing or replacing kitchen faucet.

+ -1 moreWe had a guy from B & D Plumbing & Heating to look at our furnace for annual checkup. He has come a couple of times to fix the little problems because our furnace is very old. The same person came in both the instances. We had a problem with the furnace once and he was prompt in responding to that. The last time he was here for an annual furnace checkup, he noticed that our old water heater was leaking carbon monoxide, so he informed us and gave an estimate to replace that. The level of carbon monoxide is not enough to be dangerous so we haven't done anything about it till now. He was just letting us know that it had to be replaced.
Description of Work: B & D Plumbing & Heating replaced a couple of parts in the old furnace and does annual checkups for the furnace.

+ -1 moreWe called the company on Wednesday, October 15th. Teresa got back to us immediately and scheduled the technician to come to our house on Tuesday, October 21st. She gave us a rough estimate over the phone. The technician, Mike, arrived on time (in fact a little early). He inspected our heating system, and told us two of our zone valves were sticking. He was able to replace them immediately. It seems his truck was well stocked with replacement parts. He made internal adjustments to our thermostats and gave us suggestions on where to set the thermostats for efficiency based on our needs.
Description of Work: Replaced two zone valves in our hot water heating system.
