About us

Commercial and residential tree and shrub care specialists. Celebrating 31 years of forestry experience. Family owned & operated by chuck & Megan Strike. Chuck has a bachelor in science in forestry. Megan has a landscape architecture degree. Megan is a specialist in native Minnesota trees, shrubs, woodland wildflowers, prairies, and birds. Travis strike is chuck and Megan son, and has over 11 years of experience in the family business. Leonard Bain is an arborist technician, trained by chuck strike himself, Lenny Bain is an expert operator and technician, Keith Casiday is a certified arborist, with a bachelor of science degree in urban forestry.

Description of Work: We've been using this company for years. they are the best. Megan comes out and brings her ideas and a book full of different kinds of shrubs/trees to use for our landscaping project. Next the guys come and do a great job of setting the plan into action. We will always depend on them for planting and fertilizing our precious plants...they dug up trees and shrubs for us years ago, recommended fertilizing our old oak tree and the rest is history. Highly recommend!!

Description of Work: We have used Balsam Tree for many years both at home and at our office building and they do a wonderful job at a fair price. I highly recommend using them. They have taken down huge trees, done tree trimming, tree maintenance, you name it, they have done it. To submit this comment I had to put a date and amount. They have helped us for many years and amounts have varried from $500 to $4,000.

They first came to clean up the trees completely and remove any dead wood. They later returned for more maintenance to the trees, including my tall crab apple tree. They did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend their services. I actually found them through my neighbor who uses their services and their trees look great. They will be returning this summer. From the time they come to the time they leave, my yard is completely clean and all the trees are trimmed. It has been pretty seamless.
