We had a terrible experience with our first egress window installer (Elijah's Home Services). Window World came out, gave us a low pressure, reasonable quote to fix the work of the first installer and install a code compliant window (3 lights: 2 casement + 1 fixed) in our lower level guest bedroom. This was a custom size, and we were told it would be around 6 weeks for the window to arrive. After six weeks, we were called, the installer came out, and it turns out the wrong window was ordered (WindowWorld's mistake). After a rush order, two weeks later, two different installers came out and installed the correct sized window and trimmed out the interior and exterior. Window looks great, and the trim work is reasonable (though not high-end).
Description of Work: Installed 7' wide egress window in existing opening.

We received an estimate for replacing most of our windows in our house from Dave Peterson. He was very helpful and patient with us since this was our first time replacing windows. We decided on only replacing three window upstairs and putting in an egress window in the basement. After placing the order we were called about six weeks later that our windows were in and ready to be installed. That was the exact time frame that Dave told us to expect. Two weeks later when it was convenient for me they came for installation. The upstairs window installer arrived later than I was told, but I was phoned that he was on his way. The upstairs window installer was very meticulous and asked my opinions on things. The egress installers arrived on time and began work right away. The egress installers were a little messy but did clean up after themselves. There were some issues relating to getting the inspector to approve the egress window as the distance to the opening was 1/2 inch too high. The person at window world that handles code issues was very unresponsive in getting back to me. Ultimately, the egress was approved, but I was a bit frustrated with the delay and how it was handled by the company.
Description of Work: Installation of two bathroom windows, kitchen window and an egress window.

They did a fantastic job for a good price. The windows aren't the fanciest but for the price we paid, it was remarkable and we were really impressed. The guy did a great job and I actually sent them a thank you card, which I don't do very often. The guy that did the appraisal did a good job. They actually did the work the day after a snowstorm. I thought there was no way that they would get it done and they said they would get it done in a day and I was shocked. It was dark but they got it done in one day and they did a good job. They laid plastic around the whole house and laid it on the snow drifts. I wouldn't have done their job if they had doubled the price. We wanted to get it done because the tax credit expired. I was amazed. They started at 8 in the morning and finished at 6 in the evening. They said the frames were fine and they could have tried to up sell us because we didn’t know any better. They did such a good job that I don’t think I will need them again.
Description of Work: I used Window World to install some replacement windows. There were 11 windows and a picture window.

They were really nice, but their payment plan was very confusing. I feel I paid more than what it was worth and I still need more work done on them. The windows are great and it saves us a lot of energy and money for us, but I don't think I would use this company again in the future
Description of Work: This company was recommended to me for work that I wanted done to my windows.
