Stress Less Moving

It didn't. we decided to rent a uhaul and hire another company to load the uhaul.

Bill and Dwayne were prompt and hard workers. They were friendly and had good attitudes, which was especially appreciated because the move was from a third floor apartment to another third floor apartment with no elevator. Bill kept in communication to confirm our plans through out the move.

I would not recommend this moving company to anyone. They are extremely unprofessional, unresponsive, and left me without help the day of my move. This company did not call to confirm the move date and time. I had made the reservation a month in advance. I had to call them several times and was unable to leave messages because their voicemail was full. They were supposed to show up at 8AM and they finally called me at 1:45PM and asked if I still needed help. I told them yes, and the owner said that he would make some phone calls and get back to me. He never called back and did not respond to texts or phone calls. I eventually had to call a friend with a truck to help me move everything in the rain. Maybe these guys are good movers, but it's tough to judge them on that when they never showed up. I'm assuming they had a bigger move come up and went with that job instead. Go with another company

We waited all day Saturday for them to call or show up, but they did neither. We left two voice-mail messsages asking for a status report, but never heard back.

They not only moved heavier items, but also loaded some boxes because they had more time for which they were hired.

This company should change their name to Stress More Moving. My scheduled move date was Thursday, 9/22. I left a voicemail and a text message for Bill on Thursday morning to find out what time I should expect them. At 1pm Bill called me to let me know that he had made a mistake and had me scheduled for the following day - he anticipated that they would start my move at 11am on Friday. They did not show up, and have not communicated with me since Thursday. I worked with this company about a year ago, and they were fantastic - not sure what is going on but when your mover doesn't show up and they don't communicate it makes for a very stressful situation.

They didn't show up and made no attempt to communicate.

Fabulous! I called midweek, they were free Saturday. They met us at the storage locker with a truck, filled the truck, drove it to the new house, unloaded it in the rain (did i mention torrential downpour? We are talking biblical proportions here.), drove back to the storage locker, loaded it again, and unloaded again into the new house. They checked with us about where we wanted stuff, dealt with my unique labelling system, and were nice to my kids who I tried to keep from underfoot. This was a great experience! You should call them!

I was moving from a condo with 68 years worth of collecting in addition to my sister's 64 years of treasures. We were moving into an apartment which is already overflowing with our father's belongings. We needed to decide what to keep, what to store and what to leave behind. This was very distressing. Bill was a godsend. He took some of the pain out of leaving behind big chunks of our lives. I will gladly recommend him to anyone. He was efficient, proficient and so friendly without being judgmental.

From the first phone call with Stephanie and throughout the entire process we were very pleased with Stressless Moving. Stephanie was professional, with a casual and personable style. Our house sale and purchase was very stressful...everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. She actually did reduce the stress we experienced for this part of our house buying process, whick was so appreciated. This move was totally calm and orderly. They were able to move us based on a shifting schedule with closings, which was great. She scheduled a visit for a estimate. The job was actually less then the estimate. They give worst case scenarios, but only charge for the actual work time put in. They worked the whole time, were VERY careful and respectful of our belongings. All four of them...Stephanie, husband Bill, Eric, and "cousin James" were very respectful of us and very personable. Not only were they efficient, but fun to spend the day with, all the while working! They were right on time and finished ahead of schedule. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

They were great! Worked extremely hard to get an oversized couch out of a space that was nearly impossible.

As I said they were 3-4 hours late due to their first move of the day. She apparently did not have her keys to get in. We offered to put the move off until the next day Sunday. They refused. Everything we moved was organized marked and in stable bins with a few boxes. They were moving a 2 bedroom, one bathroom kitchen and small living room. They were supposed to have wardrobe boxes and they didn have even one. Gave them all to the first move. I was very unhappy with that part since I had a coupon from Angie List for free wardrobe boxes with the move. I did not know about the clothes until they showed up at the new place and all my clothes were on the very dirty floor of the truck. Anyway the loading went smoothly. By the time they got to the new place I was mad that it was getting late and they still had the truck to unload. It was around 6:30 when they got here. After about an an hour my husband saw that if he did not help with the unloading it was going to get really late. So he started helping. And still it was almost nine by the time they got done Most of my clothes were dirty and wrinkled. Some of my lids were broken or bent so out of shape they could not be used again. Probably from having some heavy stuff put on top of them. Almost all my clothes had to be washed. Most of my husbands clothes were more secured or fell on top of mine. They were late,no wardrobe boxesI had a coupon from their advertisement here on Angies List for wardrobe boxes free with each move. Coupon not honored. Dirty clothes, husbands help needed to accomplish the move in a reasonable time frame, cut a little off of the price. I was especially mad about the wardrobe boxes coupon, the way our clothes were treated. If we had prior knowledge we would have loaded them in our cars and transported them ourselves. I called him several days later and told him we were definitely unhappy with the way the move went and we wanted to be compensated for everyt some of the things that went wrong. that went wrong, especially my dirty and wrinkled clothes. After a over a month of calls back and forth, he probably got tired of hearing from me because two of my calls went unreturned. We got $75.00 and a coupon for a future move with a on-time guarantee and the move would only cost us $500.00 regardless of time taken to move.. We discussed my husbands help and he said that he was free to help but they did not require it because he feels the work would have been done in a timely fashion and that it would not have taken them any longer wby themselves. I totally disagree. They left around nine thirty I believe. All this time he knew I belonged to Angies List. Other movers were quoting around 1200.00 and up. I do not remember exactly how much we paid them. I can not find my paperwork and I do not remember the exact price and would not feel right quoting one from memory. The move was over a year ago, I am in my 60's and have occasional memory issues. Beware of the lower quote. We did not use the moving company we had used in the past because we got such a lower quote from Stress Less Moving Company. My husband and I were very stressed out after the whole ordeal. The owner and his helper where very nice the whole time but the service could have been much better.

I've never hired movers before but after my experience with Stress Less I know why people hire professionals! We had gotten a very late notice that our closing date on the house we were moving into shifted by two days. Bill and Stephanie came to the RESCUE! With only a couple days notice they were able to secure a storage facility to move everything we had into while we waited to close on the new home. The only thing that went smoothly in selling/buying our house was the great work by Stress Less Moving. I can't recommend them enough.

They were fantastic, Showed up right on time and got right to work. Great workers. Professional, courteous

My husband had already left to start his job in Indiana and we had hired the movers to move everything in our house to the semi trailer since I am disabled. Everything in our house other than the furniture was in boxes so it should have been easy to pack in the trailer. There were 2 guys and the wife of one of the guys also helped move. They were on time and very nice and courteous, but that was about the extent of the positive experience. The rate that they quoted us was $120/hr. The trailer we rented, had a price based on the amount of spaced used. They charged an extra $75 for our treadmill, which was not disclosed ahead of time, that there could be additional charges for certain items. They also charged sales tax on top of the entire cost. Most other quotes included everything in the price. We now know why they were the cheapest. They also did not pack everything in the trailer and my car which I asked them to do. I had to bring boxes, lamps, pillows, and blankets from upstairs and downstairs to fill my car once the movers left because I couldn't lift anything into the trailer. Not everything fit in my car and so our neighbor luckily is able to keep a few things in their garage for the short term, but since we are not coming back we will have to pay to ship the items here when there was plenty of room in the trailer. Yesterday, the trailer arrived and my husband and a few family members unloaded the trailer into our storage unit. As soon as we opened the door we were very disappointed in what we saw. The semi trailer is 9 ft tall but the highest any item was stacked was 7 ft, which means we could have put more items higher and utilized less space in the trailer and so we paid more for the trailer as well as the movers. My husband had asked the movers to wrap the TVs in blankets and place them between mattresses and they said they were professionals and that they knew what to do. Well, none of the TVs were wrapped to protect them and one of our 55" UHDTV screens got scratched. The 2 smaller 32" TVs were placed on top of the mattresses and during the move one of the TVs fell off the top of the mattress and the screen broke. Boxes were placed on their sides and quite a few of them lost the entire contents onto the floor. Overall, it was a very poor experience and we are disappointed that we hired Stress Less Moving. We do not recommend this company to anyone and the whole experience was stressful.

They communicated well. They needed to adjust the schedule due to another job. They were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and hard working. On initial contact they said they would bill for a two man crew but the owner's wife would also be helping move at no additional charge. At completion, they stated we 'got a deal' because we were not charged for the third person. All three people worked hard so whether we were given a discount or not was not relevant. Upon re-scheduling, they said they would give us a really good price if we were flexible and could have them come the following day. Upon completion, this was not a factor. Our job was much bigger than they anticipated, so again, the discount was not relevant. They adjusted when unexpected things came up and were always friendly and professional.

i contacted the company on very short notice, less than a week, and they were able to fit me in. This was towards the end of the month. They arrived on time and informed me the container, a Big Blue Box, wouldn't hold all my things. They were right but I couldn't get another box until later in the day. They had other jobs scheduled and couldn't wait for it of course. I was stressing out because the closing was the next day. They had to leave after filling the box but Stephanie said she would try to find someone to come back later in the day and would call and let me know. She did just that and had found two experienced movers who could come later in the day. The next box arrived, the two movers came and all ended well. Throughout the process, Stephanie and the other two movers were courteous, cheerful and professional, as well as helpful. They truly helped reduce the stress.

The crew was professional and courteous. They were running behind but called and let us know so we were ok with the timing. Everything was done quickly and carefully. We were very pleased.

Moving was made so much easier by the movers from Stress Less Moving. I called them just 2 weeks before the move they were pretty booked but offered to fit us in on Friday evening to help us with the big furniture. They called us the day before to verify the date, time and address. They called us the morning of to let us know how their day looked and that they may be a little early. They were EXCELLENT communicators. They called when they were 30 minutes out and then they were right on time. They helped us move the big, heavy furniture, it was like we were "renting" some friends to help us. They were careful with our items, respectful of the home we were moving out of. Despite it being a hot day and us being their 3rd job of the day they had great, cheerful attitudes and were a pleasure to work with. Bill (I hope that's the right name) even told us that if we had anything left to move on Sunday he would gladly come back to help us, we just had to let him know on Saturday. The actual cost was slightly below what they quoted us, and we were blown away by the punctuality, great attitudes and hard work these 2 guys did. They worked their butts off and really helped us out.

The original date was 6/19/2014. With pouring rain in the forecast, Bill, the owner of Stressless Moving, called and suggested having them come the following day. We agreed that the following day would be better. The job prior to ours was much larger than anticipated. Bill kept us informed. Since we needed to have the job done that day, they came as soon as possible. Upon arrival they were cordial and friendly, yet thoroughly professional and efficient. They first checked the amount of items that needed to be moved and confirmed the size of the space they would be taken to. They moved the items based on the care that they needed, how they would fit in the truck and in the unit, and how they would place them when they got to the storage unit. In about forty minutes the items were loaded and we were headed for the storage unit. The items were quickly and carefully placed. I would definitely recommend them and use them again. Their service was fabulous!

Stress Less Moving was AMAZING. They did a fantastic job communicating with us and working out a solution for storing our items over the weekend before we could move in to our new place. As far as moving goes, they were quick and efficient, but also very careful. Movers were friendly and professional...they came exactly on time and everything was perfect. We came in a few hundred dollars below the initial quote so that was great too. We'd highly recommend them!!

They really did make the experience way more "StressLess" than I could have imagined. From the time I called requesting information and a estimate to the time that they finished the job,they kept reminding me that "they would take care of my things. No worries." And they really did. Everything arrived intact and was put right where I where I wanted...even if I did change my mind a time or two. And again, before they left, they checked to make sure that nothing needed to be moved again. Thanks Bill and James for a job well done.

It went great! They were super helpful, even taking apart some metal shelves I wanted to keep but didn't have time to deal with before. They gave very accurate estimates about how much space I needed for storage and they moved very fast! There was no breakage or damage of any kind. My move changed drastically the week before the move from one location to two different ones and they were able to adjust and get it all done with no stress on my part! I am just getting around to writing this review while I look up their number, moving again from the two locations to a different one and using them again!
