I have used Southside Garage Door several times for garage door problems. This time it was a problem with the chain coming off the track. I called and made an appointment. The serviceman arrived early and was very thorough. Fixed my garage door quickly and checked to make sure everything on my garage door was working well. He was very easy to talk to and did not mind my asking questions. Very Professional. I will definitely use them again.

One of my garage doors had been opening and closing for no reason and several times in the middle of the night. I tried to lock it by pushing something through the holes on the side but it bypassed the area knocking the roller out of alignment so I called in desperation. He arrived on time, completed the work, and explained everything he did. I am very pleased.

Was able to make an appointment for the same day (I recalled another service and cancelled my next day appointment). Showed up promptly and repaired the broken spring. Also adjusted and tuned up the overall mechanism. I now have a door that operates just like new - if by new you mean I can hardly hear the door when it moves. Very happy with the promptness and charged a fair price. I will gladly recommend.

The door was repaired properly. They came out very quickly after I called. The only thing that was not ideal was the quoted price by phone was not the price I was charged. When the repairman arrived, he said my door was larger than standard and hence the charge was $40 more. I think the total price was fair, however they should be more careful about quoting prices over the phone without more specifics about the door. I still would be happy to use the company again as the repair was done professionally and in a timely manner.

The spring broke on our single garage door. I called three company's and Southside's price was in line with them. I decided to go with Southside because of the Angie's List coupon and reviewers commenting on how they went above and beyond what they were hired for. They could have come the next day but I had a conflict so I scheduled them for the second day out from my phone call. He arrived during the time scheduled. He did a nice job of explaining how long the springs are supposed to last and that the one that he was putting on lasts more cycles than the one being replaced. He finished in about 30-45 minutes like he said he would. Then he asked me if I would like him to check the brackets and lube the double door. I said ok. Then my husband came home for lunch and started asking him questions and asked if you could predict when the other door's spring would break. He said it could break tomorrow or it could still be two years from now that it just depends on how much it's used and compared the springs to tires. He said that he could change the double door springs now for a reduced price. We decided to have it done since both doors are used about the same amount. He was a very pleasant person and knowledgable about any question asked. I don't feel like he tried to upsell on having the second door done. I don't think he would have mentioned it if my husband hadn't come home and started asking questions about when it would fail. He said he ended up doing both for a $40-50 savings over having them done separately, including the $10 off Angie's List coupon.

Jim arrived on time. the springs were replaced. He also inspected the entire door and opener also lubed hinges and rollers.

They were prompt, worked with my schedule and pointed out a potential problem that they then fixed right away. The technician walked me through the features of my new opener, showing me all the safety features and helped me set my new garage code. He cleaned up everything and took my old garage door opener away. They provided excellent service, and a good product at a good value. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

Call to Southside was answered promptly on a Saturday morning (I waited until 8:30 am to call) and was promised service between 10 and 11 and quoted a price to replace both cables. Jim arrived promptly at 10 am and surveyed the problem. One cable had broken on one side of a large double garage door. Jim recommended replacing the brackets at the bottom of the assembly on each side because they were very rusty and prone to failure. The additional cost was $60.00. After replacing the two cables and two brackets he ran the door up and down several time and made some minor adjustments to make the door open more smoothly. I was very pleased with the attention to detail and professionalism.

We called on Friday afternoon and Jim came on Saturday right on time. He examined the door and explained everything that needed to be done. The repairs took about one hour. He did not push us to buy a new door but did explain our options. When we do get a new garage door, we will definitely use Southside Garage Door Co.

I called New Year's Night- My call was returned promptly at 8:30 the next morning. He gave me a verbal estimate and arrived right on time at noon. He performed the work promptly and properly. The overall service was excellent.

Overall a very professional job. I was very pleased with his attention to detail and timeliness of his work. The door travel is smooth and quiet. The price was a little higher than some of the local competitors, but I still think it is fair and in the same "ballpark." Jim didn't push additional service, but did point out other items (frayed cable and broken roller) that would require attention soon if not addressed. I would rather have it all taken care of at the same time than have to have another repair in the near future and appreciated the heads up. I would definitely recommend Jim and Southside Garage Door Co. to others.

Very well. Installer (Jim) arrived on time. Removed the old door and installed the new one. He corrected the placement of the garage door opener (which I had improperly installed years before) so it was centered on the new door. He also replaced the sockets on the opener since the lights hadn't worked for months. The opener is now much quieter and the lights work! Jim was friendly, efficient and professional. I do not hesitate to recommend Southside Garage Door. I gave an A for price even thought I had not priced other companies, so I do not know if I could have had it installed cheaper. Price wasn't the main concern because I wanted a local company with ties to the community.

I called late on a Friday afternoon and received an estimate over the phone and an appointment for the next day. Jim arrived on the earlier end of the 2 hour time frame he had promised. I have a large 2-spring door. One of the springs had broken after only 2 years of use (different repair company, previous home owner). Jim laid out my options for replacing only the broken spring or both. He didn't try to steer me towards replacing both, but did recommend that the broken spring be replaced with a larger/stronger spring. I ended up replacing both with the recommended larger size. After the springs were replaced, Jim spent extra time going over the entire door; lubricating the rollers, realigning the track, inspecting and tightening the electric door opener unit. The job was complete in about an hour and only about $20 over the estimate (because of the larger springs). Very satisfied!

Jim quickly resolved the major problem with our door, but what I was most impressed with was his willingness to then spend the time it took to really get the doors operating smoothly.

They were on time. I’d used them before. They were available on the same day. I didn’t have any problems with them. I’m not sure about the price because I don’t know what everybody else would charge. The quality of service is good. I would use them again in the future if need be.

Called a couple of providers. Others quoted a low price but after the upgrades, they almost end up the same price. Chose southside as it is very close to home and also has been in the business for some time. Checked BBB and has good record. Scheduled an appointment. Came on time. Finished within the estimated time. Worked even in very cold temperature.

I called them, and they offered to coach me over the phone on how to fix it. Since the weather was below zero, I opted to pay the fee and have someone come out and fix it. I think they felt bad that I was going to have to pay a minimum fee. They lubricated the chain and tightened up a couple of things to make the trip worth it. They seemed to really care about my situation.

As pre-arranged during my initial service call earlier this morning, Jim phoned 15 min. before arriving (to give me time to crate the dog). He arrived 20 minutes into the 2 hour service window I had been given. He quickly got to work assessing the situation and re-positioned the photo-sensors, re-tensioned and lubricated the chain. He explained what he'd done and made certain I operated the door via the wall switch & my car remote before declaring the job done.

Company was punctual, professional and the staff was very helpful. The company performed quality repair work and the repairman inspected my garage door openers and made adjustments without charging me extra.
