Description of Work: I called for an estimate to repair my wooden privacy fence. He arrived a few days later. Instead of replacing only the rotted posts, he recommended replacing 2 full lengths of the fence. I was not prepared to spend a lot on the fence. He did suggest I could get interest free financing. I do not want to go in debt for my fence! I asked for a quote on replacing the lengths as he recommended as well as only doing the post repair I wanted. He returned a quote later that day if $6700 for only the replacement and not the repair I requested. I cannot spend that much now on the fence. I called someone else and they repaired the same day for $2100. I was very disappointed that Dakota did not provide what I asked for and the cost was so high.

Description of Work: Dakota Unlimited installed a new fence in our backyard. Our home was newly constructed and the lot was heavily tree covered. There were many obstacles to work around and some creativity was required in figuring out where to place the fence and how to work around trees, hills and retaining walls. Rick was very patient with us and came back several times to refine the proposal in order to ensure that the final product met all our of needs. While Dakota's price was a little (a little, not a lot) higher than some competitive quotes we received, the quality of service and professionalism from their team was worth the cost.

Description of Work: I had a new fence built along my old fence lines. The company actually did this work while I was out of town and did a great job on everything. They even put in a smaller temporary fence so that my dog was still able to go outside without having to be on a leash. The new fence looks terrific!

Description of Work: A 6 ft aluminum fence with 2 gates was installed. The order and work was done very quickly. The job was a bit complicated and they did a very high quality job. It looks fantastic and functions exactly as we hoped.

Description of Work: Job went great!!There were few challenges on job with weather(rain and temp) and 45 degree slope on south hill( running east and west) and many trees with roots..Had to put 5 breakers in due to layout change which cost additional charge.Extra charges were discussed before job was started and Don the Foreman communicated well and kept us updated.Met Chuck the owner and did walk around with him before starting job.This is a family run business and take pride in their work and give a great warranty..I highly recommend Dakota Unlimited.Also, worked a Saturday as well to make up for lost time!!!

Description of Work: It's an absolutely beautiful cedar fence! You get what you pay for and it was worth it ($6,000). About 15% more than competitive bids, but worth it. From the first visit it was clear they were professional and had a refined process. Andy, the salesperson, offered options and expertise, including an angled section to meet the house neatly and 6x6 poles for the heavy gates. The pole crew came out a few weeks later and worked hard to complete in a day. They even offered a temporary chain link fence that prevented several dog altercations with the neighbors's dog free of charge. The carpenters followed a few days later and completed it beautifully in a day. Clearly constructed from scratch to follow the contours of the site. It's a piece of art and I highly recommend them. Even the neighbors commented on the politeness and work ethics of all of the workers. It's the Cadillac of fences in the neighborhood and will add years of beauty and value to our home.

Description of Work: I'm giving them a great rating based on the sales call, they were the only fence contractor that I contacted through Angie's list to call me, two hours after my email. Andrew Laliberte showed up, on time, enthusiastic, professional, knowledgeable, creative, and a can do attitude, in addition to being very personable. There's no doubt that I'm going to have them replace my existing rail fence this summer. I have faith that it will be done with excellence. (being personable is a big factor to me in working with a contractor....I have to feel comfortable and trust the people that I give my hard earned money to for services...)
