When the sales rep came to our home for a quote he stated there was a 3-5 week wait time for chain link fences to be installed so that if we signed the contract we would be put into queue. After a week of signing the contract, I texted the sales rep without a response. I called the company and not until after the 3rd call did they tell me that our down payment had been posted and the wait time was now 5-7 weeks for installation. Once I was put through to the scheduler, the process seem to move more smoothly however no one from Dakota Unlimited proactively reached out with updates. It took me calling every week for a progress update. The weather was rainy which delayed the installation and it would have been helpful for anyone to contact us with updates. With all that being said, once the process began it was seamless. There was a flurry of activity for several days leading up to the install. The lead installer for the project was excellent and communicated well with the next steps int he process. The work passed our city inspection and Dakota will send someone out to look at a few scratched areas that happened during installation.

Everyone from Dakota, including our main salesperson, Tony, was professional, helpful, and responsive. They kept the entire process easy for us, and we are still driving up to the house and thinking “it looks so nice!” Highly recommend Dakota.

When we hired them for the project they advised us that they would not be able to do it until late Oct early Nov. They call 3rd week of Sept and advised that they could fit us in in two days. They arrived as promised, worked quickly and very thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. We are very pleased with the way our fence looks and would be happy to hire them for another project

Late last fall we reviewed Fence Contractors via Angie's list, and made an appointment with Andrew for an estimate. He was punctual, knowledgeable and quick to provide us with the estimate. This spring we started the process. Dakota is very busy so we needed to wait for a few weeks. Once it was our turn, the work went very quickly. We are very happy with our fence. The fence is good looking and sturdy. We especially appreciated Dakota working with us on our specific needs. As an example, my husband wanted to construct the gates but Dakota was willing to place the posts we needed. We also mixed our mostly cedar fence with some chain link. The teams of workers were pleasant and professional and tidy. These people are real pro's!

The last time Dakota fenced in our back yard with a cedar alternating board fence it lasted 21 years. So we didn't hesitate to call them back to replace it. This time we had a natural gas pipeline issue on one side of our property but with Dakota's help we negotiated an easement solution that satisfied everyone. One team of workers arrived to tear down the old fence and put in new posts. After allowing the posts to settle for a few days another team game in to install the new fence. Both crews were punctual, professional, friendly and thorough. We love our new fence. And because of some adjustments we ended up getting an unexpected partial refund from our original agreed upon price! We are sold on Tom and his entire crew!

How well a company does in the first place is important, but how well they take care of you when things go wrong is also, and Dakota is impressively responsible. My job ended up being a freakish snowball of dropped balls making a cascade of hassles. But when I spoke to the owner, he was in my yard in 15 minutes, pulled in three crews of their most senior workers and managers, on a Saturday morning, to immediately take blanket care of my job, and they were phenomenal. Their product is excellent and they made me feel valuable, which is very rare these days.

Very happy with Dakota Unlimited. Fast, friendly professional crews (one crew for removal, 2nd crew for install). Contacted office several times with questions and they were very helpful. Price was slightly higher than other contractors I contacted, but I preferred some of the extras they offered (arbors, post caps, etc.). I'd highly recommend Dakota Unlimited.

Accommodated my schedule for coming out for a quote. Set posts one day and came back about a week later to put of the actual fence. Great service and would definitely use them again!

It went well. The crew was professional and responsive. I had to wait a long time for the install because they were very busy this summer, but it was worth the wait.

It was a bit difficult due to us. We had originally decided to have a plastic privacy fence because it was maintenance-free, and we got samples from our rep Zach, but I just could not stand how the plastic fence looked. Then we wanted to look at cedar fences. Once we decided on a fence, we were not very available for the posts to be cemented into the ground, and we were not sure how far the fence should be from our neighbor's yard. If Dakota Unlimited were to rate us, we might be a C or D because we had not figured out where our fence should go and whether it should be plastic or wood until after we had met with Zach. We chose one type of fence, and the owner of the company came out to look at our property and recommended a different type because the fence was for privacy with a neighbor just feet from our back patio. The owner's visit demonstrated to me the care with which the company tries to make sure the customer is happy with the end product. The guys who came to install the posts and then later to put up the boards seemed extremely comfortable with what they were doing. They were pros. We just stained the fence this week, and it looks fantastic. Even the college-age son who had to stain the fence thought it was worth the effort to have such a beautiful fence.

She liked them because they had a lot of great reviews and liked them when they came out. The quoted price was competitive. We did find a couple quotes cheaper but I am not really sure about quality comparison.

Everyone we worked with at Dakota Unlimited was extremely helpful from initial estimate to the final billing. We had a couple of obstacles in our yard that I was worried about such as a swing set near the property line and an existing retaining wall but, they were able to work around it with no problems or additional costs. Our fence installation was completed in a timely manner with quality materials and workmanship for a reasonable price. We could not be happier that we can now enjoy being outdoors without worrying our toddler will wonder into the woods or pond adjoining our house. Thank you!

Wow! It's a work of art. This is my third project with Dakota Unlimited, the most complicated and intricate. I worked with a team of highly skilled professionals. The project started with a call to my salesman, Andrew LaLiberte. We discussed the scope of the project and Andrew brought Todd, the Metalwork supervisor, into the mix. Todd had very good ideas about how to get the look we wanted. They both gave me options so we could stay with in our budget. Todd oversaw the construction of the metal railing, Jake assisted. They were efficient, meticulous, and I was thrilled at the results. I don't want to leave out the painters who painted the metalwork, my bad that I didn't get their names. very creative. I was included along the way if changes needed to be made. Then it was time for the cedar handrail to go on. That's where Brad, Master carpenter, came in. He created a beautiful custom handrail and finished it with stain. I was thrilled with the results. I'd like to also thank the two painters who did a great job of spray painting the metalwork, unfortunately I didn't get their names.

Wonderfully, we changed our minds multiple times on what we wanted and the Dakota Unlimited team were extremely patient and responsive with us.

Even though they were extremely busy, coming up to the end of above-freezing weather, Dakota was pretty responsive throughout the process: getting an estimate, getting work scheduled, and getting the work done. The gate looks great and the support posts are very solidly mounted in concrete. I did have to follow through with the office people to get a final bill, but the office person responded to my email in under a day.

Went well - per plan. Project completed on time & per expectations. These guys turned off water faucet valves which they did not remember to turn on

Scheduling the estimate, the installation, etc. all went smoothly and in a timely manner. We had to wait 2-3 weeks for the install after signing contract due to other projects preceding ours. Other places we had checked into were at least 5-6 weeks out, so this worked out great! Also nice that they do the land survey instead of having to hire someone or find pins yourself. Super friendly and knowledgeable crews, did an amazing job!

Fantastic!! They answered all email and calls right away. The person who came out to give us an estimate was able to do so on the spot. He was also very knowledgeable about number of gates and access to the yard in ways we didn't think about. When mother nature didn't want to cooperate, they were very good about rescheduling and keeping us in the loop about the process. While it is a basic chain link fence, it looks great and our puggle Gia loves her backyard!

Everything went just perfectly! Estimator came out several times to discuss the project, at my request. Changes were made and delivered as requested. The owner came on site twice to ensure things were going well. Gas lines and property lines were established and marked. The crews showed up on time, were efficient, pleasant, hard workers. They obviously liked the company they work for and did their jobs well. Tidied up the place. Delivered everything just as "picky" me desired. Worth every single penny!

Perfect! Owner on site. Two trucks and crews. Efficient, professional and hard working team. I've had three fence companies work on my property over the years and Dakota Unlimited is heads and shoulders above the rest.
