Dakota was very responsive and I think I went with them because of this. I got into a bit of phone tag in trying to bid the job. Dakota hung right in there and promptly returned my calls. Seems other places I contacted gave up. Ron showed up at my door right on time to bid the job. He was polite and measured things up. I had to ask about a couple details and asked for additional work to be done. The change order was prepared and mailed to me promptly. Dakota arrived 15 minutes early on the appointed day to set the posts. The crew was efficient and were finished before I knew it. The chain link that I wanted removed was gone and the fence so far was great. A crew from Dakota showed up the following week to finish the fence. The work was performed efficiently and quickly. After the crew finished I asked questions about how to care for the fence and was given the information that I needed. Excellent company to work with!

Well to start..I contacted at least a dozen fencing providers..at least half if not more from A/list..I listed in my quote request that I wanted my fence repaired/replaced..I had 2..only 2 responses! And one of them never got back to me with a quote, still waiting..I had a difficult portion to fence in my yard..maybe that was it?? Anyway Dakota responded, LuAnn told me the fence would cost just as much to repair as replace..I chose to replace it..the difficult area we used chain link on, for longevity..my only complaint was the wait time with weather and all..but they installed sooner then promised! The fence I have now is superior to my last one..they had ideas to protect it from time and it looks great..and when they were out looking at my yard they gained 2 more customers! My 2 neighbors to the east both had the same fence installed! So the moral of the story for the other providers is....can you really afford to pick and choose? You never know when $$ is going to turn into $$$$.

I found everyone to be professional and courteous, from the person answering the phone to the sales rep to the work crew. The sales rep was very knowledgeable and took the time to price out several different options for us. The first job we had done was a fence. The crew was on time, made sure they understood my expectations, and cleaned up after the job. The second job was a privacy panel on our deck, which was custom built onsite. Since I had to be at work and wasn't quite sure how I wanted some of the finishing pieces, the carpenter texted me pictures along the way so I could make the final decisions. Talk about going above and beyond! We are very happy with the end product(s).

Wonderful! They were so very nice, responsive to what I needed, and also worked with me to price match a competitor's quote. After I had a survey done I had a lot more lawn then I knew and I thought "There goes the price!" But they charged me the exact same per square footage as what had been agreed upon before. I had issues with my neighbors because they had put their irrigation systems on my side and they had to cap the heads and move the water lines and Dakota Unlimited waited patiently until I was ready then came out and did the work super fast despite days and days of rain! The fence looks great despite a wooded portion with some very uneven ground and my neighbors have even stopped grumbling. Love these guys!

We started this project two years ago and then did some remodeling that required us stopping the fence project mid-stream . We had to ask the company come back the following year to finish. They were great about it. The crews were hard working and knowledgable. Nice people. Took care of the old fence disposal. New fence looks great. New driveway gate was a little tricky but they figured out a way to do it that looks great and is solid as a rock. Great service. Great value. Highly recommended!

We were very pleased with our overall experiance. From making the phone call to get a quote to having the job completed we were very impressed. The sales guy came out right away, no one pestered us to make a decision, and when we decided to go forward with the job they were quick and responsive to our needs.

Super professional. Super friendly. Rick F. came out to our home and provided a bid for putting up a cedar fence around our entire backyard. Rick was very friendly, knowledgable and professional. He was highly responsive to our phone calls and questions and arrived on time. He did a fantastic job explaining what our options were, how Dakota performs their work, and what to expect. He discussed the various fencing options and associated costs. After having 3 different companies bid on the project, we ultimately decided to go with someone else due to cost considerations. Dakota's bid was high ($6K from Dakota vs. $4.7K from who we went with for a similar deisgn), but I got the sense that they would probably do the best work and provide the highest quality product, nevertheless, cost was an issue for us. Ultimately we're happy with who we went with, but I have no doubt that Dakota would have done an excellent job. If it was a project we cared more about or had a larger budget, we definitely would have chosen Dakota, but ultimately to us, it is just a fence and cost was the overriding factor.

From start to finish, it was a very positive experience. I called and the owner was out to our home within a few days to discuss our options and provide a quote, he really did everything he could to work with us in determining the most cost-effective way to get a quality end result. He gave us a variety of different options, and I was impressed when at times we asked for one solution and he suggested a less costly option instead, I really appreciated his honesty. They came out to do the work within a couple of weeks (it was a busy time of year and has been raining a lot, so I felt they came out rather quickly), and all of the staff members were very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. I really appreciated that they checked in with me by phone to ask my opinion on how to handle different things, and went above and beyond whenever possible. The finished produce looks great, and it was a very positive experience all the way around. I would absolutely recommend them!

We had Dakota Unlimited install their aluminum rail with posts on our front porch. Steve, our sales person was great to work with and provided answers to all of our questions. It was installed by Zach, who was professional, prompt, and did an excellent job installing the front porch rail. It looks great and we are very satisfied with Dakota's service. We will not hesitate to contact them for future projects such as backyard fence.

I needed a small privacy fence installed and Dakota Fencing had no problems doing the job. Other companies did not want to bother with such a small job. The guys that came out were very friendly, did a great job and cleaned up well. If I have any other jobs I would contact them right away,

Gorgeous and amazingly sturdy fence. The impressive thing about this company was that they use very high quality methods for pouring the concrete for the posts, using a bell-shaped mold, which decreases the chance of upheave. We have a very wet lot near a pond, and after an incredibly traumatic winter with historically low temperatures and tons of snow, I was so impressed that this fence survived its first Minnesota winter.

The fence is beautiful and the is custom made right on-the-spot. If I noticed something I wanted to change, they invited me over to help make decisions. I even had them build a "Hobbit"-like gate which is rounded and very charming.

Came when they said they were going to and completed quality work on time.

It went quite well. They were willing to work around my landscaping schedule. The fence is exactly what I wanted, and the gates were installed well.

They were fantastic from start to finish. Rick, our salesman, walked the property and listened carefully to our needs. He clearly explained the differences in materials and answered every question directly. Then he provided a number of references and drive by locations so we could see their installations in person. After interviewing 2 other companies the decision was an easy one - Dakota was way above the rest. We worked with three crews (1-aluminum and posts, 1-chain link and 1-cedar). All of the guys were polite, professional and very thorough. They arrived as promised and finished on schedule. We made some last minute changes from chain link to cedar and they accommodated us without any issue. We are very particular and they far exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend them. In fact we look forward to having them do some more work in the spring.

I called different companies to try to meet a deadline. Dakota said they could do it. Ended up missing the date. Offered 10% discount.

Working with Dakota Unlimited was great. We had a few contractors come out for estimates, and none of them were as thorough or honest as Joe with Dakota. We wanted to have several options priced out and needed the pricing broken out in a particular way to share the cost with neighbors, and Dakota Unlimited was more than accommodating with those requests. The price we were quoted was also lower than other companies, which, when combined with Joe's professionalism during the estimate, sold us on Dakota Unlimited. When we finally made our decision for what type of fence to install and where, they were able to book the job very quickly. Everyone we met on the crew was friendly and hard-working, and the fence turned out beautifully. Our yard now feels safe and secure for our kids to play in and we're very happy with our decision to go with Dakota Unlimited. We'd highly recommend them to anyone for their high-quality product, their price, and their professionalism.

They're very good. The price, quality stood out. They had a lot of years of experience. There is some kind of installation warranty that they came back out and adjusted the fence. They gave me different ideas to work with.

This is the second time we have had a fence built by Dakota. Came out and showed me several options, gave advice on how to handle a possible problem area in my yard, and had a quote ready within a half-hour. They checked city codes. The workers came when the said they would and did a great job. They were very careful not to harm any of the extensive plantings on our property and cleaned everything up. The fence looks great and we would definitely use them again.

They finished the project a day early!!! We loved the communication from Dakota Unlimited. We didn't have to wonder when things were to be done, they provided us with timely information and a realistic schedule. People showed up when they were supposed to. The end result is quality work and looks good. Our new neighbors have already given us nice compliments on our fence. Both crews, the ones digging the holes and fence installation, were very polite, professional, and concerned about quality.

Working with Dakota was terrific. Rick came out to do the estimate and continued to work through the project in dealing with the City of Lakeville's picket fence requirements as well as dealing with getting a waiver to place the fence near a gas pipeline. I was kept informed through each "issue" that arose with the placement of the fence. I wish I could give the crew who came out to do the work and A++ because they were not only professional but the picket fence portion is like a work of art. My favorite piece is the arbor. I would definitely hire Dakota again and recommend them to anyone.

I called to set up an estimate (2nd estimate in my serach for a contractor). Andrew came out and had an estimate ready within minutes. He told us what to expect in the way of timing and the company exceeded the expectation. Corky's crew tore out the old fence and set the posts for the new one and were able to be in and out within about 5 hours. I had elbow surgery the day before so the guys even helped me untangle the dog leads in the back yard so I could let the hounds out. We expected the work to be completed the following Friday, but were pleased that the finishing crew were out on Wednesday taking only about 4-5 hours to complete the job. The fence is very nice looking and well constructed. I will be quick to refer friends and coworkers to them for their fencing projects. A+ job!
