Mike's Custom Mechanical

We’ve use them previously. They have a really good scheduling system and I like the 2 hour window. They contacted us the next day to schedule. The technician was very professional. He knew what needed to be done and asked me to ask him any questions that I might have.

He cleaned, tuned, added freon , and made sure it was working efficiently.

We used Mike's because he had a special that we saw on Angie's List for an air conditioner tune-up. He came out but didn't really seem to do much. We thought there would be more to it, but what we wanted fixed (musty smell) wasn't included in the "tune-up". The technician was pleasant but smelled HEAVILY of cigarettes. Later, they did give us a quote for relieving the musty smell, but that was very expensive.

The service person came out and was punctual and very nice. When he was finished he told me I would need an entire new air conditioner system for our home and possible a new furnace-- we just moved in about a month ago and I have been getting checks on everything in the house. I called our home warranty provider to submit a claim. Unfortunately Mike's Custom Mechanical was not not their approved provider list so I had to have another company come out and recheck the system. The new company that came out and checked our system said that everything looked fine and only added 10 ounces of refrigerant. Plus, they said our furnace was on the older side but did not need to be replaced. I was very upset hearing this news and will not be using them again.

I had a 4:00 appointment. At 5:15 he still was not there. I called the company to see if he was coming, and she said he was. He got there about 6:00, I believe. That was OK with me. He took pressure tests of my outside A/C compressor before and after taking off the cover and cleaning it thoroughly. He said the cleaning of it made a big difference, so I was happy. I would hire them again.

I ordered the service to have my AC looked at, but they weren't available until 7-10 days out. That was too long due to having kids and the heat wave we have been experiencing. No issues other than scheduling. William

It went great. The service tech showed up on time, and they did a good job. I did not have any issues with my furnace.

The technician came in wrinkled clothes and did not present as a professional. He brought a flashlight and a screwdriver in to do an air conditioning service - that's it! When I asked him how he would diagnose the leaking water on the floor by the air conditioner he took out his cell phone and snapped pictures of my serial numbers and said "I only work on the outside of units, I have to take this back to the shop and have them give you a quote." So, he came to my house, saw the same problem I already saw, turned on my air and of course it was working, just as I already knew, and he left. His office called today and I expected them to send a technician out to properly diagnose the problem but instead they called to tell me it would cost $1700 to replace my drip pan and coils, or $2400 for a new air conditioner. I called another company to take a look and for $100 they fixed a coupling and my air conditioner is working great! So what exactly is a 25 pt inspection that I paid $29 for? There is a list of things covered like amp draw, voltage differences, corrosion treatment, contactors to name a few. How did this happen with just a flashlight? Not impressed.

Bought a coupon for a service call but could not get Mike's custom mechanical scheduled for two weeks from purchase. Not much of a service!!!!!!

He gave me lots of helpful hints. He was at the home for about an hour. Scheduling was good and he was there on time.

He was only a few minutes past scheduled date with no call ahead but that was no big deal as I was planning on them coming anyway so I was here. Took him about 30 minutes to check the system out and reported all was fine.

I originally was going to leave a review that was less than an 'A'. I bought the 'Big Deal' for home A/C tune up on May 23. I called to make appointment and was given a date of June 27. The office called me a few days before June 27 to report an error in scheduling and moved to early July. Then, on the day of the appointment, I was notified the technician would be two hours late. The appointment was rescheduled again for July 7. The scheduling process was frustrating and too far out to be early enough in the summer season. However, Ryan showed up as our technician and did a fabulous job. He cleaned the condensor coils and outside unit, checked out the entire system. We had an issue with some draining from our evaporator coil and he made the adjustment and was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Excellent work and all for $60. It is a truly a great deal. I just wish the scheduling on the front end was better. I would recommend Mike's and would use them again.

Contractors arrived on schedule - completed work as needed - no issues.

Very prompt appointment set-up, called ahead, and came on time. Did a thorough job. Would use Mike's again.

Technician arrived on time and was very friendly and courteous. Willing to go through what he was looking at and note some areas of concern and facts to be aware of. Seemed very knowledgeable. Suggested cleaning the exhaust stack so that debris did not fall back into the just cleaned furnace for extra which I went ahead with.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it turned out fine. I ended up getting refrigerant added to my air conditioner, and I paid an additonal $110 for it. Nothing about them stood out. This was the first time that I used them.

They also suggested that I needed a new furnace and referred me to another company.

We were not able to come up with a date to have the service done. They were very nice to speak with and I will be getting a refund for the service.

I couldn't be more pleased wth the service I received from Mike's Custom Mechanical. Even though he was late for the 4 pm appointment, he called and let me know where he was and how long it would take him to each my house. When he got here, he went right to work and corrected the previous service provider's mistakes. I needed 2 pounds Freon added (my air conditioner is 19 years old) which he put in and only charged $49 for the Freon - I have gotten many different prices on Freon from very, very expensive to high dollar amounts. Mike was professional, polite and took time to tell me what he was doing and answered all my questions without that "look". He finished the work and made sure the area was cleaned as when he arrived. I couldn't be more pleased with the work done and would highly recommend Mike's to anyone.

It went well - Mike showed up on time, performed the service and went through the services performed with me. On time, professional and very knowledgeable.

THEY WERE ON TIME AND VERY EASY TO DEAL WITH, FINALLEY I HAD AN AC TUNE UP WITHOUT THE WORRY OF SOMEONE TRYING TO SELL ME SOMETHING I DON'T NEED.THE TECH. WHO SHOWED UP WAS GREAT,EXPLAINED EVERTHING HE WAS GOING TO DO .NO WORRIES, EVERYTHING CHECKED OUT AND MY 9 YEAR OLD TRANE IS GOING TO BE COOLING US DOWN FOR ANOTHER YEAR. The provider arrived on time and performed the tune-up as expected. The technician and his van didn't appear professional but he was very nice and knowledgeable. After the service was completed, he presented what he performed and provided an invoice. Overall, I am happy with the service that was provided and haven't had any issues to date.

That went well. He worked on the AC unit, because it wasn’t as cooling as well. He went over everything and scraped all of the dust and dirt it accumulated. Then he hooked it up and added coolant for $220; it was a little pricey, but I can tell it made a difference.

That turned out very good. They came out in the middle of May. One technician came out and it took him about 30-40 minutes to complete the tune up.
