I called Jerry Gould on a Friday and he responded to my call that evening. He came to the house the next day and we discussed what we would like done. His estimate was reasonable. Originally, the estimate only addressed having one tree taken down and another one was just going to be trimmed back from a neighbor's house. He called a couple weeks after giving the estimate (waiting for dry weather) and arranged a time to do the work. When Jerry arrived,, I asked if he could take down the other tree rather than just trim it. It was no problem. While working, he also noticed that our maple tree was growing into our pine tree, and did some trimming on that tree also. The job went well, and they did a good job of cleaning up afterward. His 30 plus years of experience really shows in the work he does. Jerry was professional and personable. His prices were reasonable. I will definite call him in the future for my tree trimming needs, and I will recommend him to others.

I called Jerry and arranged a time for him to come over to give me a quote. I showed him the power line that was tangled in tree branches and a branch I wanted removed over the power line to my home. He gave me a quote, which was the lowest quote so I accepted. He said he would call me later to let me know when he would come over. He called me mid-week to let me know he would be over to trim the tree branches we discussed. When I got home from work the branches had been cut and removed as we had talked about. It looks nice.

I called Gould Tree Service in August and left a message regarding needing a quote. Jerry returned my call that night and we set up a time that he could come over and look at the work that needed to be done. Jerry was prompt and came at the agreed upon time. We discussed the work. Jerry asked a lot of questions and made sure that we were both on the same page as to the work that needed to be done. After that, Jerry was great at answering other questions I had regarding some of the other trees in the yard. He gave input on what I could do to trim them. Since my only time requirement was to have the trees trimmed before winter and since it was a rather small job, we agreed that it would be a pretty open schedule. In early October we had a big wind storm in our area. The top of one our other trees snapped off and was just hanging. I called Jerry and explained the situation. He stopped by that day or the next to take a look at it. We agreed on the additional cost (it was small and reasonable). Jerry called a couple days later and took care of all the trees. The crew was friendly and professional. The did the work and cleaned up afterwards. The only downside was that it rained the entire weekend before, so the ground in my yard was very soft. The crew did the best they could to minimize any marks on the yard, but given how soft it was, some marks were made. It's now two weeks later and those marks are barely noticeable. If you didn't know they were there, you wouldn't see them. Overall, I'm very satisfied and will be using their service again.

We had an Ash tree in the front yard which had become overweight from too many branches and seeds, and had two giant branches which had fallen into our yard. Jerry came out and gave us an estimate for taking care of the trees in both our front and back yards. In the end we only had him take care of the front yard. He topped the ash tree, and took down a large branch of a maple tree which was hanging over our house. He also let us have a load of the mulch to use in our flower beds, and hauled the rest of the branches and wood away for us.

We were getting bids in July when it was so terribly hot. We were not in any hurry to take the tree down. I invited Jerry to use this job as a filler or to work it in when he had another job in the area - essentially to come when it was convenient for him. After a month had passed, I had begun to think that we had fallen off Jerry's radar. I was about to call him to get us scheduled when he called me and set the date for removal. The team showed up when they said they would and studied the layout prior to beginning work. They took precautions needed so as not to damage my irrigation system as well as my neighbors. The tree was close to the back of the house - within 8 feet - and very tight to to a retaining wall (inches away) . There was also a very narrow alley onto which they could drop branches without damaging other trees or personal property. They took the tree down without incident and when they left there was little sign left anywhere that a large oak tree had be cut up and hauled away. I recommend Gould's Tree Service to anyone. No hesitation.

They came on time and ready to get to work. They did an excellent job, and cleaned up the area too. We were very satisfied and would recommend them to others.

Jerry Gould walked our property with us and gave suggestions on which trees to remove, which trees to trim now, and which trees to trim at a later date. Although it had taken a few days to get a return call for the initial estimate, they were back out within a week to do the work once we'd given him the green light. They removed a large, very tall, clump of ash trees and ground out the stump. Also trimmed back two more ash trees. We were happy that we'd decided to have them haul away the trees and brush. It was a lot more than we'd expected and worth the extra money. As for the estimate, we can only assume that Gould was fairly priced. The other two companies we'd left messages for never did return our calls. We felt that Jerry was reasonable, trustworthy, and did a good job. We would use him again.
