EAGLE WINDOW OF THE TWIN CITIES INC

The issues happened starting with the installation. They hired a 3rd party to install our windows and doors. The job was so poorly done, Eagle gave us back part of our money. They came out numerous times to "fix" all the issues. The windows weren't straight, one of the largest windows was secured with only one screw! The doors didn't lock properly and they leaked. Everytime it rained the water came pouring in. One door was ordered to open the wrong way, when I noticed it was wrong on the invoice, I called to have them order the correct door. Someone else at Eagle decided we were wrong and switched it back! Then they tried to flip the door and hang it, which didn't work so they ended up reordering a new door. It was a pain to have them back so frequently, each time my husband would have to take the day off work, we didn't trust them to do the job right without supervision.. They also never return your phone calls. Our front door was the biggest nightmare. We ordered a wood door. We paid for everything to be finished (stained and varnished) the first time they brought out the front door it was not finished. The second time they came out they had banged up the door and filled it with putty. The third time they ordered a new door. It would be months between communications from them. They wouldn't call us when the door was ready, it was always us calling them. The problem was they finished our exterior door with interior varnish! A day after they installed the door it rained, the door absorbed the rain and it now looks awful, the finish is flacking off of it. We filed a complaint with the BBB and they tried to get Eagle to take care of the front door, but they never called us like they said they would. I think they were voted by the BBB board to be removed as a member. I would not recommend this company to anyone, especially if you have problems. They will never be resolved!

The service person never came back, but also winter ended and it was no longer such an issue. We will probably follow up on this again in the fall.

We love the looks of the windows. We get a lot of compliments. People stop all the time. They are two toned windows on the outside and the inside is wood.

They are beautiful doors. People stop and ask about our etched glass door all the time.

Showed up on time for the appointment but that is about all I can say. We called him back the next day and told him to save his time and not bother with writing up the bid, because we would not be using him. His whole attitude left me feeling like I was begging him to sell windows to me, rather than me interviewing him for the job.

I WAS FACED WITH A 71'' ROUGH OPENING AND THUS NEEDED A CUSTOM DOOR. INSTALLERS, STEVE AND JEREMY, CAME OUT IN RAIN WHEN THEY OTHERWISE WOULD HAVE CANCELLED BECAUSE I HAD CONTINGENT WORK BEING PERFORMED THE NEXT DAY. WANTING A SLIDING PATIO DOOR WITH BTW GLASS MINI BLINDS, (PELLA IS ONE OF THE FEW MANUFACTURES OF THIS MODEL - WHICH I'VE OWNED BEFORE). QUALITY CRAFTSMANSHIP, BOTH PRODUCT AND INSTALLATION. INSTALLERS WERE PROFESSIONAL, GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR, REAL NICE GUYS TO WORK WITH. NO PRESSURE SALES.

WE WOULD LIKE TO STRONGLY CAUTION FOLKS WHO ARE CONSIDERING NEW OR REPLACEMENT WINDOWS TO CHOOSE A BETTER PRODUCT AND SERVICE PROVIDER THAN WE DID. GIVEN THAT OUR NEW EAGLE PATIO DOOR, NEW EAGLE WINDOW AND REPAIRED EAGLE WINDOWS LEAK, WE WOULD SUGGEST A DIFFERENT AND MORE REPUTABLE MANUFACTURER. WITH OVER A YEAR OF INCOMPETENT WORK AND HORRIBLE SERVICE FROM EAGLE WINDOW DIST. CO. WE ARE WORSE OFF NOW THAN BEFORE WE BEGAN, AND WE HAVE HAD NO ACCEPTABLE RESOLUTION FROM THIS PROVIDER OR FROM THE MANUFACTURER. WHAT WE HAVE HAD IS A GIANT AND ONGOING NIGHTMARE.
