I read Angi’s reviews that indicated Duane’s Floor Service was an excellent choice for hardwood installation. My husband and I could not agree more!!! We are throughly impressed with their craftsmanship and skill in installing our beautiful hardwood flooring, the prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and courteous service we received, and honestly could not be more pleased. I highly recommend this top-notch family-owned and operated company for your hardwood flooring needs.

I strongly recommend Duane's Floor Service. Everyone we encountered was personable, professional, caring, and respectful. We enjoyed our conversations and appreciated their recommendations. The options and recommendations they made were spot on and the floors turned out absolutely perfect. We initially had the main floors done and were so impressed and pleased, we had them back within a few weeks to do the bedroom floors. The bedroom floors hadn't been touched since the house was purchased in the early '80s. We were so happy with the results.

Duane's does amazing work, every time! The team pays attention to every detail and brings out the natural beauty in wood floors, as well as craft and match replacement and transition boards for problem spots. I have hired them for four jobs and am always impressed.

This is the most positive review for home services we’ve ever written. Excellent work by Duane’s Floor Service, beginning with Neva’s great customer service, continuing with knowledgeable consultant and estimate (wish we remembered his name - he spent time going through options and seemed genuinely pleased by the potential our old maple floor had.) The floor was beautifully restored by Troy and company. Troy even suggested an improvement to a transition threshold we had done - which he did at no extra charge. We have more floors to be done in the future and look forward to using their company again.

They were very knowledgeable when they came to give us an estimate. The work was performed over a four day period. One experienced craftsman performed all the work. He was very conscientious about sealing off the rest of the house so that the dust from sanding the floors did not escaped the area. They used their four coat process and the floors turned our better that the original finishes done when the house was built.

Duane's Floor Service just completed refinishing the fourth of our bedroom floors. The quality is outstanding. This is a family owned business and you can tell they really care about great work. All of the people I've dealt with are extremely professional and very good at their craft. They take the time to answer all questions and really explain the entire process. Highly recommended.

Nick came to my home and was easy and pleasant to discuss the laminate flooring job with. Duane’s Floor Service, despite the office staff stating they typically charge more, price matched an early bid for my large laminate floor (3 rooms) and stairs job. I didn’t get a good read on the office staff, but it was easy to tell that Nick was there to do a quality job – he listened to and worked to remedy my concerns, was helpful in discussing options, and thought of other considerations to make my floors look their best. He had the assistance of another worker for some of the job and they were both friendly. Apparently most laminate, when needed, can simply be scored and snapped to proper size. But my laminate was thicker which took more time when a section needed to be cut with a saw. The day he came to work on the steps there was a Huge snow storm. I told him he could reschedule, but he chose to come out and finish the job. He noticed that my stairs squeaked and added more brace under the steps to decrease it. I’m very happy with the job. The floors look great and the steps better. I have no reservations in recommending Nick, will definitely attempt to get his assistance for any floor job I need in the future, and believe you will be very pleased with the job he can do for you. Thank you Nick.

They were awesome! Father and son did the work on site and Mom does the scheduling and invoicing. I will definitely use them again and refer them elsewhere!!!

Work was performed as promised, promptly and done well. The workers were there when they were supposed to be and worked on our agreed schedule. The floors look beautiful and turned out the way we hoped. We were very pleased.

It went very well. They could start right away, did a great job and finished on time. It took 3 trips - one to sand and varnish, and 2 more to varnish. They did an extremely good job with the dust control. Price was reasonable.

I couldn't be more pleased with my new red oak floors. They were able to start the work right away and the workmanship is excellent. Sam, did most of the work with Troy completing the final coat and Neva scheduling and communicating throughout the process. Everyone was personable and professional and updated me on progress throughout. Dust was kept to a minimum and the site was cleaned up at the end of each day. The company removed the old carpeting and brought in the new wood to warm it up on day 1. The rest of the project took 5 more days with 1 man working on 2 rooms. Neva has promised an Angie's list discount. Neva also recommended a floor mop and cleaner which I have used it in rooms with older hardwood floors and am please with it.

They arrived on time, tented off my family room from the rest of the house while they worked, and installed a beautiful floor. They are a thoughtful and professional organization, and they provided me with extra help selecting my floor and finding furniture movers. I've already recommended them to friends.

Duane's did an EXCELLENT job, and their attention to detail was superb. As I already indicated, we wanted our stairs reconfigured into a safer configuration; their carpenter (Tom) did a fantastic job reworking those. No worries we're going to fall down the stairs anymore! Neva coordinated the entire job and was in constant contact (mostly via email) about what to expect and as to what was going to happen when. I was looking for a small "hands-on" company to install the hardwood floors. I did not want to go with the Big Box (think "orange") installers. A work colleague recommended Duane's as they had done some repair work for my colleague (replacing and staining-to-match water damaged hardwood). He raved about the quality of their work. I concur! This is a family business that's been doing this for years locally and they really know what they're doing. The owner's son, Sam, did the majority of the installing. Baseboards were removed, plastic put up for dust control, and the whole job (pretty big) took about 8 working days. I was looking for quality instead of speed and took a week off from work to be home while the work was done. Our house was built in the late 80's when honey oak cabinets and trim was in style. We like the look of that wood and the new natural red oak floors ("select grade", the best grade) are stunning. They also coordinate very well with the walls! The old ugly grey/white carpet made me nauseous color-wise. Anyway, we are so pleased with the new floors. Duane's did a beautiful job. The attention to detail was great. They did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it! I never had any butterflies in my stomach from worry the job was not going to go right. Very nice for a change! Hire Duane's. :-) BTW, I did not get other onsite quotes, since I had such a good feeling about Duane's from the start and I thought their pricing was quite reasonable for the size of the job.

They were really personable. The did what they said they would do and when they would do it. They gave me good advice on care for the floor and gave me some of the stain in case I ever had a scratch that needed to be touched up. I would highly recommend them.

The work was spread over a period of five days. Jeff and Troy both worked on the job. The first day they sanded, the 2nd day was more sanding and then staining, days 3-5 were to buff and coat with poly. They were very careful in their work and covered all of the areas where needed with plastic to minimize any sanding dust in the rest of our home. They also used a backpack type containment system when buffing the floors to minimize the dust. Both Jeff and Troy were very professional and helpful with choosing the stain and discussing any concerns I may have had. Neva, who was responsible for coordinating, was also very helpful and gave great advice on protecting our new floors. This is a family owned business and they have been doing this type of work for over 30 years. I absolutely love the look of our newly refinished floors and I would highly recommend Duane's Floor Service to anyone who is looking for a professional floor care company. I am adding two photos, one of the kitchen and one of the dining room looking into the sun room. We have not yet moved our furniture back and so you can see the floors pretty clearly. With the lights off, they are darker in tone than shown. The floors look new again and their new color is warm and wonderful. Happy Holidays to All.
