We had windows replaced (by another company) and during the process discovered some water damage. In repairing the water damage a significant amount of our existing cedar siding had to be removed. So, we decided to just take it all off and put new Hardi on the house. We obtained a bid from the company installing the windows and from Craftsman's Choice. The price difference was significant, with CC having a much better bid. It seems that CC keeps their overhead low and passes the savings on to the customers. In speaking with CC, they seemed to know about all the issues that caused the water damage and were very knowledgeable about the whole siding project. Also, their painter was excellent and very fast. The other company wanted to charge extra for painting, but CC included painting in the cost of the siding. The work was all done very well and we're pleased with the results. We really liked that CC stuck to their bid and did not look for ways to nickel and dime us with additional charges, which has happened in the past with other companies. Overall, we thought CC provided excellent value and we recommend them to our friends.

I only selected contractors that had an A rating from Angie's List and contacted three companies. All were very responsive and provided detailed quotes. Of the three, CRAFTSMAN'S CHOICE, came in the middle. The next challenge was for the contractors to work with our bank who held the insurance funds in escrow and only paid in three tranches, one upfront, in the middle and at the end. An inspector had to be arranged to come out and inspect the work before any payments were made. Of the three companies only CRAFTSMAN'S CHOICE were prepared to work with us and the bank. One of the companies made a statement that they did not know if the bank would be around to honor the payment. The roofing was completed first, in about 3 days-everything was replaced, ie vents etc and very professionally. The siding was next and that took about a week. Again, very professional. All the members of both crews were great to work with. The clean up was good apart from some roofing nails. I am very pleased with the work and the company and would definitely use them again. The owners dealt with you directly so you could get/make decisions quickly. Nice people as well.

Craftsman's Choice did a great job in all aspects. From the first conversation over the phone to the actual work itself, Matt Enfield was straightforward, honest & concerned about doing high quality work. They really worked with us to get the most out of the insurance settlement, providing me with a great overall value. Matt came over a couple of times to discuss all options prior to beginning the work, which included replacing the damaged roof & gutters. The actual work began in a timely manner, considering the summer is their busy season. The roof was completed over 2 days & the gutters were completed in a day. The crew themselves were very nice and polite. They even checked with my wife on when our baby was taking a nap, to make sure they didn't wake her up. Superb job!

They were very honest when they were there. They finished the work in a timely fashion. They are very easy to get a hold of to set up a time for them to come out and do the work.

I would say it went fine. I would definitely use them again, but not in the winter. The sales person was very professional and responsive to us. The only issue was some minor cleanliness issues, like nails, pieces of siding, cigarette butts left about.

Matt was very professional in getting me an estimate and working with me on my insurance claim. I was very pleased with the quality of workmanship and I would hire them for additional work when I am looking for a contractor.

I would recommend to whomever, they also are good with windows, door and decks. Craftsman's Choice does commercial work as well.

Matt was very responsive in getting us a bid at a good price. He got our job started within two weeks of contact. His crew did great quality work - very good job bending metal for the trim around windows, for example. There was some minor miscommunication during the work. The crew did not know the paint hadn't been picked out, but we got that taken care of at the end of the job. (It would've been nice to have had more time to do this.) Also, they didn't know that Matt and I had agreed they would take the old aluminum siding, so I had to do this. On the other hand, when I added the window trim to the job, Matt gave me a very fair add-on price - he could've held me up, and didn't.

Everything went very well. This is one of the few companies that was willing to do just one side of the house. They tore all the old siding off and hauled it away, then installed the new. I wasn't happy with a ding in a new door frame and they came back and completely re-did the door. The siding looks great and the workmen were very friendly and easy to have around.

I really appreciated that the owners, Matt and Ben, explaining everything throughout the entire process. The follow through was fantastic!

Matt came out and gave us a bid for the job (we didn't have to wait for the bid to come in the mail). I was impressed that he came with a photo album full of before and after photos of the jobs they have done, along with an extensive list of references (names, addresses and detailed description of the work performed). Ben came out to finalize the details, and we signed the contract. We didn't have to wait long to get on the schedule. Cory and his crew spent about 1.5 weeks doing our job. They removed the old siding in one day. They cleaned up after themselves daily. I called Chris with some questions, and he was very responsive. He knew our job well. When I called him with a concern that we hadn't yet ordered the gutters and wanted to make sure that there was a gutter available that matched the soffit and fascia color we chose, he had already thought of that. He confirmed for me that he wouldn't order the soffit and fascia until he was sure that we could get gutters to match.

We couldn't be more pleased with the work that the team from Craftsmen s Choice completed on our house. Windows, siding, and deck were installed with equal skill and attention to detail. Measurement and fit of all of the materials was always of the highest standard. They truly seek quality workmanship in all that they do! When some rotted wood was discovered, they replaced it. Any unanticipated problem was solved, and they were always willing to adjust to the special requirements of my particular project. All of the crew members are true craftsmen, and I would recommend them to anyone who wants a fine result.

Matt Enfield and project manager Chris were great to deal with. Their workers were also pleasant and professional. The final job looks great. Matt truly takes pride in his work. We trust his honesty and the quality of his company's work.

I interviewed 4 contractors and selected Craftman's Choice. While they were not the lowest bidder, they seemed to know the most about the installation process, and they provided the most detailed, inclusive bid. Their crews were on time, worked hard and were very polite. They cleaned up the site every day and were very professional. At one point, a portion of the vapor barrier was blown off during a storm, and the contractor had it fixed within an hour of my call to him on a Saturday morning. The project was finished on schedule. The attention to detail was terrific as was the quality. They explained what they were doing and offered options where appropriate. It was a great experience - one of the best contractors we've ever worked with.

Based on the quality and professionalism of their work on our siding project, we asked them to replace our deck without talking to other vendors. We were confident that their price would be competitive, and we knew the craftsmanship would be outstanding. They did a terrific job and even found some structural issues with the deck structure which they fixed with no increase in price. As with the siding project, it was a terrific experience.

They are very professional and conscientious in their work. They use excellent materials. They seem to be very knowledgeable about their products, and they are very open and willing to answer questions and correct any problems that may come up. I like the fact that the owners are on site and very accessible.

I NEVER SAW ROOFERS WORK SO CLEAN. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB!
