+ -1 moreTHIS CUSTOM BUILDER ASSURED US HE COULD BUILD THE HOUSE AS WE WANTED, HE NEGLECTED TO TELL US WE WOULD HAVE TO FIGHT FOR ALMOST EVERYTHING. MY STRONG RECOMMENDATION WOULD BE: BEFORE SIGNING, TAKE CONTRACT, SPECIFICATIONS AND PLANS HOME AND READ OVER THEM VERY CAREFULLY. HAVE AN ATTORNEY LOOK OVER CONTRACT. THEY RULE ALL INTERACTIONS REGARDLESS OF DISCUSSIONS OR ASSUMPTIONS. DOCUMENT IN DETAIL AND DATE EVERY CONVERSATION, REQUEST, CHANGE ORDER ETC. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO SUPERVISE THE WORK. REQUEST FULL FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE PERIODICALLY SO YOU ARE NOT SURPRISED AT THE END.
Description of Work: THE FINISHED 'CUSTOM' HOME IS LOVELY AND ALMOST AS WE WANTED. THE SUBS WERE FOR THE MOST PART VERY GOOD, BUT THE PROCESS WAS HORRIBLE.
