Description of Work: The House Painters consists of one individual, Keith. He approached our house by saying that he was taking a walk in the neighborhood (which is probably not true because he didn't live or work within walking distance) and thought our house needed painting. As we talked he mentioned that "he had come upon hard times and really needed the job". Although his proposal was confusing, we like to help the underdog so we hired him. He insisted that we needed to give him the money up front because he would get evicted that evening if he couldn't pay his landlord. He immediately cashed the check. He was supposed to start the following Monday. No show, no call. Upon calling he defensively explained that "turns out I come down with case of ventriculitis, and can start tomorrow". No show, no call. When he did arrive a few days later he was not prepared to paint. He spoke to my husband in a very rude (and questionably dangerous) manner. He then turned around and walked away making snide comments about us. So bottom line: CAUTION! Don't let him talk you into anything. I advise you not let him on your property. He conned us out of $1500.00. As we are very busy we chose not to go to court.

+ -1 moreEvery time he showed up to work he was on tim but when he left he always left a mess. One day when I came home i was going to look at his progress and found a puddle of water on the entry way floor. He did remove the outlet plates but he threw them in the garbage. I talked to him about the water on the floor and his reaction was oh well.
Description of Work: Applied and knock down texture and paint bedroom.

+ -1 moreThey did a very sloppy job; terrible work. I could have done it much better. Had paint running down my walls. Paint was sloshed around. I couldn't believe it. I called and left a polite message at 9:00 pm for the painter to call me. He called me at 2:30 am, woke me up, sounded intoxicated, and began yelling at me. I had to call the police because of the threatening nature of his behavior. I tried to get my money back but have been unable to date. Please don't ever use this painter. Terrible work. Unstable painter.
Description of Work: Hired this company to paint a banister (stair railing) in my home.
