It was good. We are happy. One of the trees we wanted to trim the top of it off but the tree specialist said it could endager the health of the tree so we did not trim it off.

Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They were concerned about the health of the tree and how much stress each species could withstand due to the pruning. I was very impressed with the information they shared with me. The trees turned out great and they cleaned up the yard so you could not even tell they had been there. Jay Maier is the owner, and he has people with degrees in forestry. They use the University of Minnesota standards for treating trees, and they seem to do a very competent job. They are easy to work with, they are reasonably priced, and they have the latest technology for tree care.

First requested service through Angies list. Got a prompt email response that someone would be out to quote the job. Man was out same day and did a complete inspection of all the trees and shrubs in our entire yard. He left a report with his recommendations and the cost. After calling and accepting the bid they came out within just a couple of days and did the work. The guys were extremely professional and very courteous. They completed their work in about 1 1/2 hours. They cleaned up well and hauled away all the trimmings. Someone called in a couple of days after that to check to see how the job was done and if there were any complaints or concerns. Then in about a week (after the snow had melted) they came back and raked up any remaining debree from the trimming work. The whole experience was totally satisfying. I would definetly call them again when we need any tree work.

His name is Jay Maier. I have them out every year. They fertilized some newer trees that we have. I am on a regular program with them. They have one of our oaks on a watch list. They do a variety of things. They are very responsive and very polite. You really feel like you are listened to. I was really concerned about one of the huge old oaks that we have in the back. There was a building coming up and I was concerned about the root damage. I spoke to him about the issue and when I should go speak to the builder. He listened to me and explained what really happens and what problems can come up. He even said that he would be happy to accompany me and go talk to the guy. He used to be the city of Rochester's head forester and then went into his own business. He is very community oriented. When they come out, they don't just come out. They also teach you about what they are doing, why they are doing it, and what to watch for. I really like them. I get the feeling that they care about my trees as much as I care about my trees. I plan on using them again in the future.

We used Maier tree service to trim up 3 big old ash trees and 1 big honey locust tree. The took out all the dead wood and trimmed them up away from the house and sidewalks. They took away all of the debris, and even raked up the leaves that fell. They planted a beautiful 7 foot tall blue beech tree in our front yard, mulched it, and fenced around it to keep the deer from killing it. They also did a deep root feeding on the 3 large ash trees and also a large pine tree. This company is absolutely the best. They are so detail oriented and professional. Jay Maier came out to the house to give us an estimate. He walked the yard with us and gave us a lot of advice but how we can improve our property and the health of our trees. He helped us to pick out an appropriate tree and location for a new planting. The service was excellent. I do feel it is hard to shell out the money, but it is well spent to deal with such experts, and people that really care about doing their best. I will DEFINATELY be using Maier tree next year to plant more trees. I would not hesitate to recommend their service to anyone. The office support staff was also friendly and helpful. This is a great company.

We haven?t gotten the work done yet; we got the estimate so that we knew what to budget for. He was very informed and he communicated well in terms of scheduling and stuff. We will be using him.

These guys are the best... they are professional AND friendly... and they do great work. They had a tough time with the giant stump, but kept after it -- long after they needed to. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again!

I had a tree that was about to split and fall on my neighbor's home... Jay arrived at my home about 45 minutes after my initial call. He was totally professional and understanding that I didn't have $1500 on hand for my emergency and generously worked out terms for me. I'm am so impressed with the company! While I'm glad I don't have more tree problems, if I ever do -- they will be the only company I call!
