It went ok however he subcontracted the work out. There no supervisor on site. He just came in am and pm. The new dryer vents had screens which didn’t allow the lint to escape. Also one unit the dryer vent was forgotten. I noticed it and contacted Gentry. He promptly came to fix the problem.

Bob came and gave the free estimate. Nice, punctual and professional, all good. After approving the estimate it took over 6 mos. and many phone calls to get started. Took a day off of work to be present on the agreed upon date and time, last minute call to say crew can't come they are stuck hours away on another project. Ok fine, things happen. Took a second day off of work, they came on time but brought the wrong door and the sidelight was too short. They took out the rotting garage door and put in the temporary wrong door until the correct door comes in. Fine but they took the handle and it opens on the wrong side, difficult to use. 2 more months pass, Bob appears to have dropped off the face of the earth and I need to finish this project before winter. Luckily I find a good contractor and the work is now complete. I do not recommend this group to anyone! I don't know how their work is because I never got that far with them. Beware, maybe they prefer bigger more expensive jobs.

The crew including Steve arrived on time and immediately started working. They completed the job including an excellent cleanup close to the estimated time. The crew was very professional, efficient, experienced and showed concern about getting the job done right. I would definitely contact Steve Gentry Construction for any roofing, other home repair or home improvement project. It's refreshing to see that you can still find a business interested in doing a good job, satisfying the customer and not just getting the final payment.

They did a fantastic job! The workmanship was very high quality. Also, they're friendly and very courteous.

They do a very nice job. They were fast and efficient. They cleaned up well after themselves. I can't say enough good things about them. Their price was good.

The day broke as a cold overcast day with a steady brisk wind out of the the north. The crew arrived promptly shortly after 7 AM as arranged, Steve was on the job with the crew to supervise the setting up of the job and introduced me to his his crew foremen. Once the ladders, scaffolding, toe boards and tarps covers were set up the large crew began removed the old shingles and carried them across the roof and dropped them into their dump trailer. They minimized the debris that went down onto the tarps on the ground reducing the cleanup work. The new Ice and Water and tarp paper went on as soon as the tearoff was complete. The new materials arrived and were staged on the roofs, and the crew took off for a nice warm lunch. They returned from their lunch and went to work installing the new shingles, and didn't stop until the re-roof was complete and they began cleaning up the job site. While they were here on the roof they re-secured some gutter fasteners that had gotten pulled out and some siding that had gotten pushed away from the house due to the problems with the sever ice dam problems that occurred last winter. last winter. I am confident that I will not see water running out of the soffit vents and coming out from behind the vinyl siding. The roof looks great! Come take a look for yourself.
