 + -1 moreHe replaced a rotten piece of wood on a large window. He also used his superior knowledge to insulate under the window before replacing with new wood. He lacquered the wood and cut it it a perfect match. He did a beautiful job! A new window would have been many thousands of dollars. I am delighted he had the knowledge and confidence to tackle this project. He was extremely punctual and professional. I would consider him a woodworker for other projects in the future.

 + 0 moreNitro removes snow from my driveway and sidewalks every 2 inches (they will come at whatever increment you prefer). They will also come by at other times as needed if you give them a call. They do a good job and are always friendly when I talk to them on the phone. I have used Nitro for about three years and couldn't get through the Minnesota winter without them!

 + 0 moreOverall, it's a good service. They did an excellent job of clearing the snow-better than other companies I have used in the past. They did come fairly late, which made it difficult to get out some days, however. Otherwise, a good and honest company that I would use again in the future.

 + -1 moreI have used Nitro for snow removal for the past several winters and would recommend them to anyone. I first began to use them after another Rochester company was awful. You can work with them to agree on what accumulation of snow triggers a visit. They do a great job of completely clearing the driveway and sidewalks. The owner is friendly, and you can call them if you have a special need knowing that you'll be treated with respect. Billing is based on how often they come. The bills are itemized and I have found them to be very honest. I don't like dealing with the snow but Nitro makes navigating winter in Rochester easy!

 + -1 morePerfectly. I called and he said he had time right away. We agreed on the price. He is very pleasant to work with. I learned he is accomplished at many jobs relating to carpentry. David asked the right questions so this many pounds of items could go to various places inside and outside the house. He also began to clean up my own mess until I said that was not in the job description.

 + -1 moreDavid did a superb job for a rock bottom price! His carpentry skills are top knotch and his understanding of remodeling process flows is excellent. He appreciates the details of matching stains, hardware and succeeded - very high satisfaction with David's work results! He also has a great can-do attitude, yet is willing to bring up possible problems and tradeoffs the homeowner needs to know.
Description of Work: Sept - Dec 2012 we did a major kitchen remodel under the direction of an area decorator. She connected us with David early on, who did much of the work for us. He repaired existing kitchen cabinets, including making a new custom box to replace one piece. He created & installed crown molding, and moved two cabinets up (matching them for artistic look), and one cabinet over to accommodate a new refrigerator. In preparation for new kitchen/hallway/laundry/bath/closet flooring, he ripped out the old vinyl flooring and moved the lower cabinets to the garage. He also removed all pertient baseboard and house interior doors. He removed the old countertop in preparation for our new countertop. After the new flooring was in, David reinstalled the lower cabinets, all the baseboard and the interior doors. He installed door handles as a finishing touch, and custom made cabinet end plates to dress up our existing boxes. He also helped us remove/install a new patio door which involved some carpentry with door jams. As you've gathered, David was the handyman on our project who got multiple tasks that otherwise would have fallen between the cracks.
