He said the work would be done in a week. A week became two, then months. Finally six months later I told him I wanted my deposit back. Before I could get it, he seemed to have disappeared. STAY AWAY!

If you would like to hire a slow motion train wreck to work on your house, hire Keith's Roofing. Between the time I paid him $2000.00 to start the $3800.00 project on 9/23,his truck was totaled by one of his workers, his home was burglarized and his cell phone and computer were stolen and his cell phone was locked in his truck by one of his workers The lack of any attempt by Mr. Wilcox to communicate anything about the process throughout the process angered me beyond the point of no return. His failure to show up when he says he will is unacceptable. Time and time again this happened. No phone call, no call back after leaving numerous messages. Over and over again. His mailbox is constantly full and will not accept voice mails. Amongst other things I hired him to install a reglet on my historic house. He did, but it is really not a reglet, but some type of home made thing he made that does not resemble a reglet. He has thus far never completed the project and hasn't been here nor been in touch for more than a week. Meanwhile he sent his daughter to my door to ask my wife that we pay the final $1804.00 prior to my being able to inspect. I paid him $1200.00 of the $1504.00 remaining until he finished the project and I have not seen him in over a week nor have I received a phone call. He told me he needed it to make payroll. I believe that was more important than ever finishing the project as he told me he would replace reglet over a week ago but has not been back, nor called. I got up to roof to inspect today, 11/6/11, and found numerous tools, hardware and caulking and caulking guns left by Mr. Wilcox on the flat roof.Do yourself a favor. If you want the constant aggravation of hiring a person who doesn't feel it's important to communicate, but when he does it always starts with an apology, hire Mr. Wilcox. If inferior quality is your goal, hire Mr. Wilcox. Mr. Wilcox and I will be meeting in court soon. I'm more than ready to make things right as I know for a fact, he is not. He's not interested in you, the customer but is in fact interested in doing sub par work for full price. Do yourself a favor. Walk away.

The roof is now shingled no leaks yet (15 min).

Keith made a written estimate for re-shingling and warned me of some expected issues and gave a verbal estimate of them. The work was done quickly and professionally. Keith called me whenever he found an issue to get my approval before continuing. I beleive he did a few extra repairs without charging me. I would definitely recommend his services to anyone.

The estimate was free of cost. I had some damage on my roof. They didn’t seem to think that I could get any money for it and then I had another client come out and they told me about something that I could get a follow up in dollars and so I chose them. I thought Keith’s Roofing did a good job on the estimate. They took time doing it and they came and explained everything to me. So for that I thought they were alright. They were responsive and came right away. I will probably not use their services again in the future.

Due to a very heavy snow in early December the snow on the roof was at least 2 feet deep in most places and ice dams had begun to form. Clearing was done with shovels and chisels. They were very careful to avoid damaging the roof and vents. They worked without any safety harnesses which was a concern for me, but apparently not for them. They did quite a nice job cleaning and moving snow and ice from the driveway as it was moved off the roof. It had warmed up the day that they arrived and the snow had become quite waterlogged and very heavy. I was glad it was them and not me moving it. $800 may seem like a lot, but it was less than what many were charging and many thousands less than a repair if water had entered the house.

Keith's crew replaced the roof on my 100-year-old house, which included two layers of shakes and 25-year-old asphalt shingles on top. Being they were replacing the original roof, plywood sheathing had to go over the old boards with all the gaps in between. (My roof was a crap assignment, with 12/12 slope, lots of angles, and a few challenges. Most roofers run from these jobs. Some roofers quote these tough roofs super high and just drive by, hence my son - who used to do roofing - called my roof a "drive by.") I chose to upgrade to 50-year shingles (because I don't want to touch this roof again in my lifetime), and that also allowed the crew to work into colder weather (due to rubberized layer). While I had it in my head to be wary of roofing companies (heard and read too many bad stories), I found Keith to be honest, helpful, knowledgeable, punctual, and responsive to questions and challenges. I believe Keith is a trustworthy, ethical, and resourceful business person. I know this sounds like an advertisement for Keith, so I must say I was plenty worried and wary in the beginning. Keith and his crew impressed me and exceeded my expectations. (Keith's crews also replaced two of my neighbors' roofs, and they're pleased too.) NOTE: My insurance company paid for most of the $17k expense. I paid for upgraded shingles, removal of old chimney, removal of old gutters/downspouts, and a couple misc. items. Overall, I'm very pleased with the process and outcome.

I emailed three roofers from Angie's list for estimates. Keith responded same day. One has not yet responded and one called me two weeks later. Since I could not get any other bids, I went with Keith. I was leaving for vacation and did not want my roof leaking the whole time i was gone. It was leaking from melting snow so it was possible to have it leak the whole time. I don't know if he did a good job but the bathroom vent leak has stopped completely. The chimney repairs I cannot confirm were good until some really heavy rains come. So far so good. Overall I was pleased by the speediness of Keith's estimate and repairs. All happened in about three days time from when i contacted him. The only thing that gave me doubts was when he contacted me twice by email and once by voicemail before I even had a chance to get back to him. Made him look desperate or pushy. The leak has stopped though so I am ecstatic. 7-7-11 UPDATE: It has been four months since my roof repair. We have had several heavy rains and still no leaking, yay! I could not be more pleased. What's more, I was out in the yard on both sides of the house pulling weeds etc. I found one tiny little piece of shingle in the grass. Then I remembered about the roof repairs and realized I have found no other shingle pieces, nails, etc. in the yard from the work. The leaks were fixed and the jobsite kept very clean. Thanks Keith!

Last winter I experienced a significant ice dam problem, leading to some water damage. My roof was already in generally poor condition with many warped and broken shingles. The owner and crew were very professional, and the price was competitive. The work was done promptly, and the end result met all of my expectations. The crew made a particular effort not to disturb my neighbors, several of whom commented on their professionalism and the appearance of my new roof. They also took precautions not to damage my lawn and shrubbery. In addition, they did a very nice cleanup, hauling away all the debris promptly and thoroughly.
