INSUL-SEAL HOME INSULATION

Description of Work: The work that was quoted was not the work that was done. When I called him to discuss it, he said there were two ways to go about it. That was not what I was paying for. I expected the work that was done to be what was on the original quote. |He was nice, but then never called me back to try and resolve it.

Description of Work: -Air Sealing Air Seal around all necessary air leaks Plumbing vent pipes Furnace and water heater exhaust pipes Bath Fans Any recessed lighting Junction boxes -Insulation -Install new styrene air chutes insoffits -Install wind-wash blockers in every cavity -Install extruded foam barrier around access door to prevent falling insulation -Install blown fiberglass insulation bringing the total R-Value to an R-50 (18.5”) -Wrap attic access door with three pieces of R-19 blanket * work was done on 2 levels of my home

Description of Work: Met Cameron at a Home Builders show. He offered to come out and look in our attic. We have had ice dam problems the last couple of winters, especially where there are skylights in the roof.

Description of Work: A 20 year old house with a new roof (with ridge vents) a couple of years ago suddenly experienced ice dam and interior water intrusion issues the last two years. A major competitor to InsulSeal bid work in excess of $6000 with low assurance that ice dam issues would be thwarted. Doug at InsulSeal bid the job, noticing several issues the competitor failed to note in his bid. InsulSeal bid came in at $875 and was awarded the business. Jared, Doug's son, and his partner Cam did the work. They were respectful, hardworking, and diligent, even picking up stray pieces of insulation that landed outside of the their drop cloths. Jared was knowledgeable and friendly. I trust that the work was done with pride and integrity.

Description of Work: Jarrod from Insul Seal came out to advise us about insulation to correct problems we've had with ice dams. Jarrod spent a lot of time going into the attic, and crawl spaces to examine the situation. He fully explained options and at the end recommended another contractor since his recommendation is for a product (foam) that his company doesn't specialize in. Insul Seal specializes in fiberglas insulation. He fully explained the ventilation we need to have done and provided printed materials as well as offered to come back out or talking with us by phone if further questions arise.
