Jim and his team cut my cost by about 50% by not replacing the drywall but restoring what I had (with multiple layers of wallpaper) to make it paint ready. It's now been painted and looks great.

If I decide to go with them, this company is the one that I’d probably go with. The quote was for a 24x24 garage ceiling for $800. The overall experience was very good. They were easy to talk with, they explained everything that they were going to do and they seem like pretty nice guys.

We had some ice and wind damage that led to extensive repairs to our roof and interior ceilings and walls. The roof needed to be replaced. The interior ceilings needed to be repaired and retextured. Some walls needed to be repainted. After the roof was replaced, we had sought several bids for the ceiling and wall repair work. All the bids were approximately identical. We decided to hire Drywall Services of Rochester, Inc, to do the interior repair work. To say that we are very satisfied with the outcome is simply not enough. DSR is a Rochester locally owned business. It is run by a father/son team. I cannot recommend DSR highly enough. Jim and his son Mike were polite, professional, very thorough in their work, very hard working, and trustworthy. On several occasions we had to leave our home. Jim and Mike completed their days work and made sure our house was locked and secure. They even made a final return inspection of the home to make sure that all the work was done and that the work was completed to our satisfaction. Their follow-up final inspection meant a lot to us and showed their level of business commitment and professionalism. If I ever need any dry wall or painting services in the future I will definitely give Drywall Services of Rochester, Inc. a call.

When I initially talked to Jim the owner on Thursday or Friday, he was out of town so he had his son setup an estimate with me. No problem there. I got a call back about 4 hours later to setup an estimate at 5 p.m. on Monday. Great so far. Now at 4:45 on Monday I get a call that he needs to reschedule, irritating that I had already hurried home to be ready, but not a big deal. He was going to come on Tuesday at 5 again. Come Tuesday, the same thing happens. Getting more irritated, again had taken off work early to be ready. He left a message that he'd be at our place at 7 p.m. that night, if that was a problem, call him back. It worked for us so, I didn't need to call him back; we held dinner until about 7:30...he never showed up and never called to reschedule or apologize. If a contractor can't make their times for an estimate on time, or show up at all, I certainly would not want this company ever working on my friends' or family's homes.

I was happy with the quality of the work. The drywall guys listened to what I wanted and how I wanted it, and did everything exactly as requested. I was also impressed at how fast they worked! And maybe I got lucky, but they were fast - I called, and Jim showed up later that day to give me an estimate. I told him that my rough-in work would be done on such-and-such a date, and he arranged to show up the day after that, no problems with timing. I plan to use this company again if I need more work done.
