They did a beautiful job, creating a lovely pathway and patio that we've used constantly since it was put in. They also helped create a swale to direct water from the driveway into the yard and that has been a huge help! (Before the swale was installed, we would get ice all winter on that part of the driveway that was a couple of inches thick.) They're professional, prompt, and do a wonderful job.

The crew arrived on time with all needed materials. They worked professionally and efficiently for 2 and one-half days to complete this project. The contractor, Clint, had gone through the construction techniques with me ahead of time, and left me some literature to read. The walls are very secure with crushed rock, sand, fabric, and heavy mesh to provide drainage and stability. They carefully transplanted three trees that had been in the ground three seasons, and they look good. They replaced our old dirt and clay with a thick layer of topsoil. To gain access to the site, they needed to drive tractors over the lawn, but all of that area was regraded and re-sodded, so it looks great. All members of the crew were polite and business-like, and they worked very hard and very well as a team. Our neighbors were impressed by the quality and speed of the project. The crew cleaned up the area, including sweeping the street. I would recommend Custom Retaining Walls of Rochester to anyone needing retaining walls.

We called Custom Retaining walls to inquire about replacing some shrubs that had died. They sent a person to look at the job and gave us a bid for the work to be performed. The bid was fair and the work was completed the next day. Everything turned out very nice. They followed up a few days later with a call to see if the work was performed to our satisfaction which is was.

Made special effort to not damage surrounding yard, prompt, professional. Did a nice job. Looks great. Cleaned up area well.

Todd came to my house, took the time to understand my request, wrote an estimate that time. I called the next day and accepted the estimate. The work was done in a very timely manner and to my satisfaction.

The materials were the best, all of which came from Custom Retaining Wall's garden center. Ultimately I don't care who puts the stuff in as long as it is done right, and Custom R.W. will get you the right people for the job, as they did in this case for me.

They arrived on time, made sure they knew the exact location of the patio and answered my questions before starting. The patio was installed in less than 4 hours despite all the work being done by hand due to the location. Clean up was excellent. They made sure I was happy before they left. Friendly and courteous from the estimate to the follow-up phone call.

They did very nice work and I will use them again.

They were done on time and gave advice as to what I should do versus what I wanted and it turned out like a park in my back yard.

I had an estimate done, and the estimate was highly detailed. Out of the three estimates that I had done, this was the only company that knew the city ordinance on where the retaining wall could be installed in relation to the sidewalk. The estimate was competitive price wise, but much more detailed than other estimates (the others were all one-liners). The work was done quickly and efficiently. The workers did an excellent job on cleanup. They even swept the sidewalk and wall before leaving so the dirt and mulch wasn't left all over. Custom Retaining Walls followed up a couple days later and took off the price of supplies that they didn't use (in my case, extra dirt that they had estimated, but didn't need). The wall is fantastic and I received compliments from my neighbors.
