Description of Work: It's been12 years since the house was built, we have had 8 of the 22 window's seals fail. For the first 10 years, Weathershield replaced the glazing at no cost, but we had to change out the glazing. After 10 years, Weathershield Warranty should pay 50% of the glazing cost. They detailed the order from our claim, We were to place the order at their directed source. I checked a local source for glazing. I found out that they use to do Weathershield's service work. I had an estimate for the glazing and it was half the cost. I placed the order and requested the 50% warranty coverage. It was denied in that we did not order from their source. The original builder no longer is affiliated with the Weathershield company. The nearest service rep is 40 miles away and has no interest in doing anything. So we have no coverage for these 20 year warrantied windows. Watch out for Weathershield windows, Vision 2000 is a bad model.
