Northern's One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning

Description of Work: The tech came out and heard the sound it was making and gave the estimate based on that. He did not take anything apart or look into it very far. He gave what I thought was a vey high estimate and wanted to sell a service plan etc. which I look at as a yearly appointment to sell me more. The estimate was about 1200. I called someone else who opened it up and said it needed a different part. Which he fixed for about $500. I still had to pay the visit fee for 1 hour.

Description of Work: Replacement of furnace, air conditioner, VanEE, humidifier, air cleaner, and cleaned the duct work.

Description of Work: We had our three year old furnace go out in October with an infant in the house. We were freezing and getting nowhere with the contractor that originally installed the furnace. I checked out Angie's List and found Northern and immediately gave them a call for we were leaving on vacation the next morning and couldn't leave our home with no heat. They immediately sent a technician out (Brian) who first looked at our furnace and told us that it could be fixed, though the part would have to be ordered and could take a couple of weeks to get. He then explained that our particular furnace was notorious for having this part break and to fix it would cost more that the furnace most likely cost. And that in another year it very well may break again. All said and done we decided to purchase a new furnace and have Northern install it. They offered us space heaters in the mean time at no charge to us. We declined and asked if they could install that evening. They did have the furnace we chose in stock and went out of their way to install that evening well into the night. Having two very efficient and polite men do so. We were up and running and warm the next morning. They have since done the up keep on our air conditioning and furnace units. And have addressed immediately any questions or concerns I have had. I will DEFINITELY always call them for ANY heating and A/C needs. Definitely one of the best and I am very particular about work done around my home. I would give them an A+ in every category!

Description of Work: UNDERGROUND GAS LINE FOR ACCESSORY BUILDING

Description of Work: MY CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONER WOULD NOT TURN ON AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON. I TOLD THEIR TECHNICIAN (JASON) THAT I HAD MY FURNACE REPLACED BY ANOTHER COMPANY FIVE MONTHS AGO AND THAT I THOUGHT THEY MIGHT HAVE MISCONNECTED SOMETHING. HE CHECKED AND CONFIRMED THAT THEY HAD MISWIRED THE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROLS. IT WAS A QUICK FIX. HE ALSO PERFORMED ROUTINE DIAGNOSTIC TESTS OF THE UNIT AND SAID IT WAS DOING FINE. BECAUSE THE REPAIR WAS QUICK HE ONLY CHARGED ME FOR THE DIAGNOSTICS.

Description of Work: MINNEGASCO COULD NOT FIX MY FURNACE. I CALLED NORTHERN HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING AND THEY FIXED IT. IT TOOK MANY HOURS BUT THE PRICE WAS WHAT THEY QUOTED AND THE FURNACE IS WORKING GREAT.
