Professional and punctual for walk through, pretty easy to work with. But price was fairly high for just replacing edging around most areas. Didn't get a couple emails responded to and just nothing after that. Stopped trying to contact, we weren't going to hound them or beg for them, must not have wanted this type of job very much.

Now my yard instead of being the eye sore of the neighborhood is the envy of the neighborhood! I was going to just have them do some work in my backyard, but Carl suggested trimming up the front and side shrubs. And I am very pleased with how every thing turned out.

Provided design for new landscaping and installed the new landscaping. We've been redoing our landscaping one side at a time, and Timberland did a great job of matching work done by others. The initial bid was more cash than we had to spend, but Timberland broke out various elements of the project and we elected to take care of the mulch on our own, which saved us considerable dollars. The project turned out great, and we have already received many favorable comments from neighbors and passersby (public sidewalk on corner lot exposure).

It all went very well and the price was right. We were given several landscaping options to consider for our yard. All were good plans and covered all materials and labor from start to finish. Pricing was very clear throughout. The crew that showed up to work here was very courteous and they worked hard to get the job done. I was not completely satisfied with the placement of some schrubs, so the foreman came back to my house and made everything right without debate. Overall, we had an very good experience with Timberland Outdoor Services and I would definitely recommend them to other Angie's users.

They had some great ideas. The problem was they wanted to design the deck around the landscaping they had in mind. I wanted to design the landscape around the deck. I will not be able to use any of their designs for this reason.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was just great. They did a fabulous job. They were quick to respond to the fact that I needed to change to storm cleanup. They got it done the same day. They brought a team in and got it done in 5 hours. I never had to have a storm cleanup before so I don't know if the $600 was a good price. I am now going to have them come out and do the landscaping that I originally bought the deal for.

It looks beautious! Well, it will, when the grass has grown back ! Three guys removed the wall, dug out the sod , smoothed out the area and filled in with dirt and grass seed. It looks much better!

Prior to hiring Timerland, we discussed the price (which we thought was a bit high), but decided to go forward with it based on some sample designs that were emailed to us ahead of time that we thought were very detailed. Carl Gillies came out to our house and arrived on time per our scheduled appointment. He walked around our yard with us and took detailed notes related to some of our ideas. He was very detailed in discussing options relative to our ideas and also offering his own ideas. We wanted to have options for our backyard - patio versus deck and he was open to designing it both ways for us to choose from. He also came up with good suggestions for a design around the large electrical box on the corner of our front yard. He is very knowledgeable within the field and knows what he is doing. Our preliminary design came with the deck and patio in the backyard, we chose the patio. Our final design came with all of the details. We had a phone conference to go over final questions with him. Overall, we thought the design was great and were delighted with Carl’s work and plan to implement his design into our yard within the next year.

I purchased a and quot; big dealand quot; for a landscape design. Timberland arrived when scheduled and spent time to listen to my needs. They provided a very thorough and professional plan. I was very satisfied with their service.

I made an appointment using a coupon from Angie's list for an estimate on what I wanted done in my front and back yards. They were on time, very professional. They worked with me, adding helpful comments, to come in with a plan that suited my budget. Although I didn't go with them, I as very impressed with their work and would recommend that people check them out for ideas and estimates. Their estimate was very competitive.

I was considering purchasing a Deal of the Day to remove a berm from my back yard. I called and asked if this was the sort of work that they could do and if it'd be covered by the coupon. Whomever answered the phone happened to be close to my house and said that he'd just swing by and take a look. Within about an hour, he called back and said that they could take care of it. He called me the next day and said that they had a crew that had some spare time that Friday and was wondering if that would work for me. It did and they got to it. As part of that conversation, I asked how much of the coupon's worth would be taken up by the berm removal. He said that he didn't know exactly, but was willing to put whatever was left into general landscaping (bush trimming, etc). So we went with that. I didn't get home until well after dark that night, but I could tell that the work that they'd done was nothing short of transformative. The bushes in the front and around the side look the best that they have in years and the berm was gone as if by magic. I couldn't be happier with the work done!

Received quick response for bid request from Carl and was able to schedule a time convenient for our family. Bid came back to us in a very timely manner via email. They were by far the best priced company! In fact we had three other bids for the same work that were close to two or three's times the amount Timberland quoted. They were great to schedule with. I appreciated that they were able to fit me in sooner rather than later, in fact on a requested day. The guys showed up on time and were diligent with their work and professional. They were careful with our yard, driveway, and house when getting all of that awful rock out. They made sure to grade the soil too away from the home. The yard was left in order when they left. Would consider them again for sure!

Carl was great and very easy to reach via email. He arrived on time for our estimate appointment and shared some great background on what is going on in our mess of a yard and what potential it has. After a few weeks, he shared with us the full color plans. We asked for a few modifications and asked that he quote out what it would cost for Timberland to complete the work start to finish. He was responsive and very helpful. We have a much better idea of what everything will cost and the information was very valuable (we decided to wait until next summer to complete the work). I would recommend Timberland!

Shasta, Fernando and the rest of the team were awesome! Even our overly protective Dogs loved every day they visited us! The Price is a rough estimate as we've continued to add to this project - Timberland is BY FAR the Best Landscape company I've ever used. We've suggested them, and they've been used by other neighbors and friends now as well!

We had Carl from Timberland provide a plan for our yard about a year ago as a result of an Angie's List special offer. We decided this summer, after having had the deck at the rear of the house re-built, that it was time to address the rest of the landscape. I called Carl in the earlier part of summer and he had targeted July 24th as a start date. Happily, July 24th became the end date. Now that the project is completed, I will commend Carl and his team for so many aspects of their work. I feel that Carl listened carefully to me when we first visited about the plan. I have no landscaping expertise but I did have a vision for what I wanted. It was clear to me that Carl had communicated with the installers, as they were very mindful of my wishes and carried them out so well. Ben, Ben, and Will were the team of installers. It was a real pleasure to have them at work around the house. They were prompt, diligent, thoughtful, careful, consultative, thorough, respectful ... and did excellent work. What more could anyone ask? I will definitely return to this company for any future landscaping needs. You may note that I did not grade the price above; I am so inexperienced in this area. I do feel that it was a fair price for the work done so very much to my satisfaction.

Carl from Timberland came out in the spring and checked out my property, then provided detailed (and excellent/fun) design/legend/sheets of plants to be used. I got on their schedule and the front lawn landscaping was completed on 7/15/13. It was great fun to drive home from work that day and see that the work was completed and looked very good. I spent a good bit of time just enjoying the transformation -- the plants were of excellent quality. It's been a hot week, up until today, so Carl advised me to water the beds a couple of times a day -- I'll now water once a day for a bit unless we get the heat index way up there again. One item Carl put in was a "Hydrangea Tree - variety 'Unique'" and I am loving it. It's a classy item. He also had some "Karl Foerster" grasses put in the beds --these are lush green and beautiful. I've seen some tall spikey ones at Cub and Bachman's just lately with a good deal of brown at the bottoms of the plants. These are younger-looking, dark green through and through -- just fun and nice. Spring 2014 I'll have the Timberland folk back in to transform the back yard. I've never used a professional landscape company before -- have always done the digging/etc myself. I prefer having had Carl and his crew in to do the work!! Much appreciated and is being enjoyed!!

The plan was fine but not exciting. We have chosen a differnt landscape planner to create a more interesting plan.

Great communication before, during and after the install.

It turned out very well. It kept snowing so it took a little while for them to get out here. They were kind of expensive.

Guess I covered that in the other section, but Carl has maintained excellent communication -- Talking about the design, anything I'd like changed out, etc. Highly responsive to the customer. Now -- to start about getting what's on paper to be the reality. I'd done quite a bit of looking at plants at garden centers, greenhouses, etc., but Carl came up with some that I'd never heard of and they look to be quite amazing. Awesome!

Carl is friendly and professional and the plans he created for my landscaping are just what I was looking for. The plans are thorough and clear and will be easy to implement. I appreciate the work he has done and look forward to continue to work with them on the completion of the project.
