 + -1 moreHIS MESSAGE STATED THAT WE DIDN'T LIVE IN AN AREA WHERE HE WOULD DO THE WORK AND GAVE US SOME NAMES OF OTHER COMPANY'S TO TRY. WE FOUND THAT HARD TO BELIEVE SINCE WE WERE ONLY 15 MILES AWAY. WE CALLED BACK AND TALKED TO HIM DIRECTLY AND HE DECIDED WE DIDN'T LIVE THAT FAR AWAY AFTER ALL. HE CAME OUT THE SAME EVENING AND GAVE US AN ESTIMATE. WE THOUGHT HIS ESTIMATE WAS QUITE HIGH, ESPECIALLY SINCE WE ALREADY HAD ONE ESTIMATE THAT WAS SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER THAN HIS. WE HAD ONE MORE COMPANY GIVE US AN ESTIMATE AND IT WAS THE SAME AS OUR FIRST ESTIMATE. IN ALL, HIS ESTIMATE WAS APPROXIMATELY $4,000 HIGHER THAN THE OTHER TWO. WE DON'T THINK HE WANTED TO DO THE WORK, THEREFORE GIVING US A HIGH ESTIMATE. HE WAS VERY PLEASANT AND PROFESSIONAL. THE ESTIMATE WAS JUST WAY TO HIGH.
Description of Work: WE CONTACTED RICHFIELD QUALITY BLACKTOP BECAUSE OF ANGIE'S LIST. WE CALLED AND LEFT A MESSAGE AND GOT A RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER RIGHT AWAY.

 + -1 moreMIKE BLANCHARD CALLED ON A STORMY SUNDAY AFTER ABOUT A WEEK, AND CAME OUT THAT AFTERNOON, DESPITE THREATENING SKIES (AND IT BEING SUNDAY). UNUSUAL DEDICATION, THEY MUST BE VERY BUSY. BID WAS REASONABLE, DID IT THREE WAYS, DISCUSSED PROS AND CONS. PROFESSIONAL. I HAVEN'T DECIDED WHAT TO DO YET.
Description of Work: ESTIMATE FOR COMPLICATED DRIVEWAY JOB. I WANT TO BUILD A 2 CAR GARAGE, BUT PRESENT ONE (SINGLE HORSE BARN STYLE) IS AT THE BOTTOM OF A SLOPE ON A LONG, NARROW, CONCRETE DRIVEWAY, SOME CRACKED, SOME NOT. I WAS UNCLEAR HOW TO BEST DO THIS INEXPENSIVELY.
