+ -1 moreI was driving this morning in the snow and let in a McFarland Landscaping truck and he gave me the middle finger. It was icy and snowy but that was very unprofessional and uncalled for.
Description of Work: none, I saw their truck on the road and he gave me the finger

+ 0 moreDoug did a beautiful job, with quality materials, on-time, and left everything in pristine condition.
Description of Work: We wanted to sod our backyard, having just killed it this summer due to an errant husband armed with an overdose of crabgrass killer. We have a beautiful south Minneapolis fenced in garden. It was gorgeous except for the dead lawn. A close personal friend who is finicky about his back yard recommended Doug, saying he was a good man, 100 percent reliable, and did excellent work. Doug is a father and son business, small and personal. I called him. He said do you text. He was in a large parent meeting at school for his son, and he texted back immediately. Ultimately, though we hadn't planned well to give Doug much notice, and it was a small window to re-sod, Doug came through. He was fair in his price, willing to negotiate, and promised we would LOVE it. Although he was doing another project, he made time for ours on a weekend, and we came home from a birthday weekend up north to see a breathtakingly beautiful back yard. He did craftsman precision, laying the sod around paving stones, cutting the sod to the right depth exactly, and laying the sod with care and the right soil foundation. He did it like his own garden, and gave tender loving advice afterwards about how to keep it up. He's obviously a man who loves gardens, understands plants and plant architecture, and it's obvious why he comes strongly recommended through word-of-mouth. We recommend Doug enthusiastically!

+ -1 moreHe did excellent work. Everything he did I loved. The only thing a little lower than excellent was his timeliness. He cleaned up after himself and the patio itself looks perfect. He did a really good job and I don't have any problems with it. Everything was laid out evenly and the pattern on it was real nice. I think he has great ideas and he is a good company to work with. I think his price was very reasonable.
Description of Work: I used the service of Mcfarland Son Landscaping to put in a new patio last spring.
