The price quoted on the phone was $89, yet my final cost was around $450. The guy conveniently didn't have the camera to show the clean ducts as promised. He also charged a $25 fuel charge that was not disclosed when I called to discuss the pricing. I was also charged a 9% sales tax, which does not sounds correct. When asked, he gave me some baloney answer. I have no idea whether or not my ducts were cleaned, since he could not provide a camera to show the inside of the ducts. Overall, it was a horrible experience, and I would not recommend this company. I don't think I have ever dealt with a shadier character.

I chose Finish Line to clean my carpets and ducts because I received a coupon in the mail. Finish Line was able to schedule my service appointment relatively quickly, and they arrived at my home at the scheduled time. That is when things started going down hill. Finish Line charged me $80 to clean 8 areas (consistent with the coupon terms) and $2 per step (not disclosed in the coupon or over the phone). They added $80 to ?heavy precondition? 400 square feet of carpet, which I believe was not necessary considering many of the high traffic areas in my house are not carpeted, and the carpet is relatively new and in excellent condition (I chose to have the carpets cleaned because I was moving into a newly acquired home and there were no furnishings inside). Finish Line told me that the carpets would be dry within 6 hours, but it took nearly 12 hours for the carpets to dry, despite running numerous fans throughout the house. Given the wetness of the carpets and the discrepancy in the anticipated drying time, I wonder if Finish Line?s truck-based suction was adequate to properly clean and extract water from my carpets? The real shock came with the duct cleaning charges. Despite offering to clean 10 ducts and the main/return trunk lines for $80, Finish Line charged me an additional $70 to cut 2 small holes in my ducts to perform the service. This is a ridiculous charge since Finish Line could not perform the advertised service without having access to the ducts (and the charge was not disclosed in the coupon or over the phone). No duct cleaner that I have hired has charged separately to cut access holes in the ducts. When I told Finish Line that duct cleaners in my previous residence failed to adequately close and seal access holes that they had cut, Finish Line assured me that I would not have the same problem with their access holes. One day after the service was performed, Finish Line?s access holes became unsealed and heated air was streaming into my mechanical room. I had to go to the hardware store to buy special super adhesive tape to fix their shoddy work. In addition to $150, Finish Line charged me an additional $210 to clean 21 vents that exceeded the 10 allotted on the coupon. The charge for cleaning additional vents was not disclosed on the coupon or over the phone when I scheduled my appointment. Advertisements from other duct cleaning services warn consumers not to be fooled by ?bait and switch? tactics where merchants offer cheap teaser rates on coupons, but limit the number of ducts that will be cleaned for the stated price. I wish I would have heeded that advise because I could have had my ducts cleaned by them for half of what Finish Line charged. Finish Line also convinced me to treat my ducts with an antimicrobial for an additional $95. I have no idea whether this was a worthwhile expenditure, but I would be disinclined to trust Finish Line?s recommendation to add this treatment after my experience with them. After paying $455 to have my ducts cleaned, I would at least expect the job to be done well. After Finish Line left, I discovered that a couple of ducts looked like they had never been touched and were full of filth. See picture attached to this report. Finish Line charged me an additional $10 for fuel ? yet another fee not disclosed in the coupon or over the phone. I was highly dissatisfied with my experience with Finish Line. Their fees for services are excessive, and many fees are not disclosed until they show up to do the work. I was not satisfied with the quality of Finish Line?s services and would not recommend them to anyone.

Called up Finishline on the 15th with the hopes of someone being able to come out to do a same day job because we had just found out that we were going to be having some unexpected company. They came around 330 which is the time the told me they would be there on the phone. Steve came in and gave us an estimate for the carpet and we decided to get the ducts cleaned as well. The estimate was a lot less then I though it would be and the way he handled us as customers was fantastic. They took all the vents off and ran a cable through the vents and then they used a vac to make sure everything was sucked out side. Then when it came to the smelly pee filled carpet, they made it look almost brand new. The smell that was also deep embedded in the carpet was also gone. We were absolutely amazed. We will definitely use this company again in the future.
Description of Work: Me and my girlfriend had Finishline come to our condo and take care of some pet issues on our carpet in the main living area. While they were there, we asked them if they could look at our air ducts and they were more then happy to do that as well.

There was a ton of dust and they were extremely thorough and explained all of the different steps they needed to take to ensure highest quality. They were very friendly and very polite. They gave me the price upfront and did exactly what they said they would do.. I was extremely satisfied and will definitely call them again when I need it done again.

I was given a specific time for their appointment (11:00). Very early in the day they called and left a message saying that they were running late and they would be there at 12:00. They called again around 11:00 to make sure that I'd gotten their message and to ascertain that this new time would be acceptable to me. And they arrived at 12:00. They got right to work with one technician prepping and the other using the carpet cleaning machine; they were very efficient and their efforts were well coordinated with each other. They said it would be dry in about 7 hours, which it was. My carpets look fabulous.
Description of Work: I had them clean all the stairs in my split level house, two hallways, and two rooms. Some areas required considerable prep work due to staining or high traffic areas. They did a marvelous job and I am very pleased with their work.
