All American Building Inspections

Andy was great! He did an inspection for our new construction. Luckily there were no major issues, but he did find some minor details that we definitely would have missed (ex. garage door had too much slack, the HVAC pipes were too smooshed together not allowing for fully efficient air flow, of course minor aesthetic details as well, etc.). We reached out to him on a Monday, and he was there for the inspection on Thursday with a great price. He also was very generous with his time in talking to us and explaining what he is seen in other homes for potential problems and gave us tips for home care after seeing our home. This was very nice for us as first time home buyers. I would hire him again!

Andy was very thorough in his investigation walking through our 11 month old new build.

He was accurate, i needed the inspection within 48 hours and he was very accommodating

Andy did a great job with his inspection and found some crucial items that needed attention. He made it all very understandable even though I couldn't be there in person for the inspection.

Professional inspector

They we correct about some issues in my condo but also missed some. They were cheap and friendly. I would give them a 3.5 or 4 stars.

Initial contact we were setting up appt time/ day. Told him I needed to give other condo owners notice that may need to access their units in approximately 7 days. He sounded sick and he said he did not know if he had covid / he said legally only 3 days notice needed. No way if he is sick and possibly with covid did I want him in our building during the time of possible contagious. We set up time and day , of 7 days later - discussed morning to beat heat, and I obviously understood when he said that if forecast for storms , we would try another day. Tues the19th at 10:00 was decided. On that day it got to be 10:15 - called him . ( barring in mind other condo owners were notified of that particular time ). he was confused and admitted he had messed up, and never even scheduled me - and that he would be out in approximately an hour and half. He did show up in an hour. I had told him our attic needed to be checked . Ie. Were the areas around the vents sealed / leaks etc. Insulation was wet , were there leaks etc. He climbed up his ladder- I borrowed him my trouble light. He did not step foot in the attic space, he just shown the light around (this with just head and arms through attic access point.) Another condo owner was -( a male) present during inspection. Myself being female couldn't possibly understand, now could I. Andi directed all his talk to the other male - gee I really shouldn't worry my pretty little female brain about why water was leaking through my ceiling and insulation was wet. He did make it to the outside hot and windy roof, and told me to go turn my dryer on, yup he could feel a hot breeze so vent must be venting ? Shouldn't he have told me to turn on the exhaust fan that draws the hot air up through the venting. ? He was polite and well dressed, I thinking his dress shoes looked nice. I don't think he wanted to get them dirty / full of insulation by actually going up into the attic to inspect it, does flashing a light around , with just your head poking through give you ? all the answers. He didn't clean up after him self . He left promising my male counterpart all info his report etc. Never mind my graduate school education/ years helping my dad do renovation and insulation while he was still alive. . " a woman just wouldn't grasp or understand what we big boys are talking about. Respect home owner, keep appt. Dress as though you might actually be crawling around in a dirty wet attic space. Respect women

Love this guy. He was so thorough and informative. He knew his building code and everything related to it. Will absolutely hire him again

Very knowledgeable. However he also was not demanding and did not insist that everything he pointed out had to be done. Understood the house was over 50 years old and normal wear-and-tear can happen.
