Garage door cable busted. Everyone I called was booked out for a day and a half. Had to get to work, couldn’t get car out of garage. Rob got Pat to swing by on his way to a job. From The minute the cable busted till the minute it was fixed by Pat was one hour! Kudos! Hats off! And they didn’t overcharge me!

Everything went smoothly. The installer arrived exactly when he said he would and he did a fantastic job installing our new products. He also clearly explained to me how everything worked, including new sensors that were not on our old door. I would recommend them without hesitation.

The technician came out for a service call and looked over the existing system. This same company had previously replaced the door itself, but now I had questions about the motor. He gave me a completely honest assessment of my options and costs, and I decided it was time to replace the opener with a new one. He gave me options, pros and cons, just excellent information. Even though I picked a model he did not have on his truck, he was able to slip away for a couple of hours (he had other appointments) and come back for a new appointment where he installed a brand new system in half the time one would expect. The attention to detail, quality of the work, it was excellent. If only all companies could operate this way. We now have a shiny new garage door opener with cool new features like WiFi iPhone operation from an app, and advanced new security measures. I couldn't believe I could get it all handled same day so easily. Remember that my appointment was only to do a general service, yet they found the time on the schedule to rip out the old system and install a brand new one; which also has a battery backup so it can function even with a power failure. This company had excellent service on the phone, great scheduling options, and when my needs were unexpected, they accommodated me for same day service and amazing work. All at a price that was about half what I expected it to be. No question, I'd use them again for any similar work. You should too.

Terrific. I was going to do it myself, but it was well worth having the work done by someone with years of expertise, especially to determine the size of the springs and to tune everything correctly.

I called first thing this morning asking if they would be able to get someone here same day, since I couldn't leave the house since the garage door was not working and I couldn't even manually open it. They were so nice to talk to and were able to get someone out here same day. They called when they were on their way, got here about 20 minutes later (about 3 p.m.), fixed the door and were on their way. Great job!!

Rick (salesman) was great! Very helpful and knowledgeable. Installer (did not catch his name) was very nice, did a great job, cleaned up nicely. Overall highly recommended.

They arrived within the timeframe stated. The service tech was friendly and professional. The service tech did a great job. My garage door is nice and tight again to keep the water and snow out of the garage. The garage door opens quietly again compared to be before.

I give an A on price, not that it wasn't expensive, but because this company is worth it. They installed the doors on our addition in 2005, and have done service work since then twice. Once to replace a spring, another time to take care of a door that was run into and install an opener on a door that had none. They even upgraded the quality of the replacement parts with extra support. Always VERY professional and easy to work with. They call back, promptly. They show up on time. Their work is effective. Had a small issue with paying by credit card because my credit card is to a PO Box, and not the service address. They could not have been more accommodating in calling me and figuring it out. Very polite and professional staff from everyone I've dealt with there. I also had them replace a 1950's door and install an opener in Bloomington. They were excellent there as well. Highly recommend.

I called Action Overhead Door first thing in the morning to see if they could send someone that day, they said that they would have someone there that day. Early afternoon, they called back because they were not sure if they could fit me in that day and wanted to know if they could send someone the next morning. I called another company that was able to send someone out in less than an hour from my call. I am glad that Action communicated with me and called early enough in the day that I could at least try calling around to other companies instead of letting me know at the very end of the day.

We have a garage door that was scraping/squeaking significantly, and also it would just stop mid-way when going up. Action Overhead technician came out and inspected/oiled everything that was supposed to be. Still scrapes, but assume all is well since they looked at it and found nothing. The man was very nice and courteous. We will use them again. This was done sometime in early September.

I called for service around 3 pm on a Friday. They told me that they could come by and fix the garage door the next AM for $175, or wait till Monday and they would only charge $150. We explained that the door would not close so we wanted it fixed as soon as possible, so we took the Sat AM appt. 15 minutes later they called back and asked if I could take an immediate appt. and offered $30 off. They showed up within 10 minutes and completed the job in less than an hour. Awesome service!

The technician Jeff, arrived and introduced his self. He inspected the door and went right to work. Carefully moving things that might be in the way of his work space. He went to his truck getting his tool belt, ladder, and replacement springs. Going back and forth along the door header and up and down the ladder explaining to me exactly what and why he was doing the things he was doing. He completed the job and picked up the area in about 20 - 30 minuets..He thanked me for calling and using Action Overhead. I thanked him for the great job.

The previous Sunday I emailed the company inquiring about an opener. I was contacted the next day and told they could come out, and since I wasn't expecting such a quick response I wasn't able to have them come till Friday. The time frame was between 0700 and 0800 and I wasn't going to be home from work till about 0830. I did give them instructions to go ahead and start without me. My son was home but not sure he would wake up. Inspected my old garage door opener and did find it non-repairable, which did not surprise me since it was over 12 years old and used several times daily. Even though it was below zero again, Cory, one of their experienced technicians, was able to remove the old opener and track and replace it with a great quality new opener. All was said and done before 0900. I find the price (cost) extremely fair both for product and labor. There is no way I could have had this put in myself and if I could the instructions say to allow at least 4 hours. Double that usually. I have used Action Overhead exclusively since purchasing my house in 1986. I have had springs replaced a few times and last year I had purchased an awesome garage door with cute little windows from them. Each and every time they have been prompt, professional, reasonable, and especially friendly.

They were punctual and professional. The door opens and closes better than it ever has in the past. I will definately recommend them to our friends.

Our garage door failed in the closed position. Luckily, the cars were out of the garage. We called Action, scheduled a time and they promptly arrived. The fix took less than an hour and they made sure everything was operating smoothly before leaving.

They were able to install it two days earlier than expected. It took the serviceman approximately one hour to remove the old garage door opener and install the new one. The serviceman was very knowledgeable and readily answered all of the questions I had while he was installing the opener. The opener came with two remotes. We purchased an additional remote and an external keypad. The serviceman programmed all of them for us. The only frustrating part was that the remote unit in my 2009 Tahoe could not be programmed to work with the new garage door opener. To make it work, I needed to purchase a repeater unit. I just purchased that item this morning. According to the saleman, it will solve the problem with my Tahoe.

Did a service call on a garage door that was making a lot of noise. They replaced a couple parts and got it running like new again.

Jeremy from Action Overhead Door Co. came to our home to show us the options for new garage doors and openers. We needed a single garage door and opener and double garage door and opener removed, disposed of and replaced. We received the information we needed, they had a good color option for us and the price was competitive. We went ahead and had him order what we needed and two weeks later Jeff was here to install. The installation went really well and we are very pleased with the doors and new look. Both Jeremy and Jeff were great to work with - courteous, professional and thorough. We would definitely recommend them to others and hire again if the need ever arose.

They did a very good job. good people to work with. The price was competitive and the product was better than I expected.

I decided to get a new garage as a surprise for my fiance. I worked with Jeremy there for a couple weeks locking down what I was going to get and I was pleased with his thoroughness and quick responses. Day of the install, I got a call that they were on their way early because of a cancellation. I asked if they could wait another 45 minutes until my fiance left for work. She said, not a problem! The tech arrived right on time, was very polite worked quickly and overall exceeded my expectations. There wasn't a trace that anyone was there and he even fixed the keypad which had a malfunction in the wiring. My fiance loved the surprise!

They responded promptly and were able to send someone out the same day. Replaced cables in both doors with more heavy-duty cabling. Tecchnician was professional and courteous.

We had used several different garage door contractors in the past and none of them fixed the problem. We paid the bill but we still had the same problem. We were very frustrated that the problem wasn't fixed. My husband found Action Overhead Garage Door via the Yellow Pages and gave them a call. They came to our house on a Friday morning and fixed the garage door within an hour. The worker was friendly, honest and did the job we asked him to do. We were very happy we finally found a contractor who was able to fix the problem and we never had the same problem again. I would definitely give him a call for any issues regarding our garage doors.

It was kind of an emergency. They came early the next morning to fix the door and completed it quickly and thoroughly. They were able to work on it with the motor in place. He adjusted and lubricated everything while he was there.
