Description of Work: Price was very high to replace a handle only on a bathtub. The office called to tell me the service guy was on his way, 2 hours later I called them back, the office is in another state and does not know the location of the guys on the field. The Service Guy was Great, very professional, knows his job and very efficent!

Description of Work: We had a slow tub drain. After viewing the drain, the technician recommended a cabling or snaking of the drain. The cabling of the drain took about 20 minutes. The technician also cleaned the drain itself. He noticed sludge while cleaning the drains and provided me with a bottle of drain maintenance solution to reduce that. Overall, he was helpful, friendly and seemed knowledgeable. More importantly, our drain is now back to draining at an average pace. The only reason I provided a B rating was due to the price of the service.

Description of Work: Harrison from Roto-Rooter was professional and pleasant. He arrived on time (we called in the morning, Roto-Rooter gave us a 2 hour window for the evening, Roto-Rooter called in evening and Harrison, the technician, arrived 30-minutes later). He assessed the problem with our clogged sink, went out to the van and came back with the right tool, and then cleaned out the clogged pipe under our kitchen sink. Fast, not too messy, and fixed. The only mess was on the outside of the pipe -- it was brand new looking before Roto-rooter and then pretty scummy afterwards. Harrison wore cloth covers over his shoes and did not track any mess into our house (despite the snowy mess outside). My only disappointment was that is was more expensive than I was expecting ($250 minus $50 off coupon).

Description of Work: our main stack was backing up into our living area in the basement. the tech arrived around 945 pm and stayed until the job was done--about 230 am. he was a consummate professional, friendly and positive even when up to his elbows in our pipe!

Description of Work: Called them at 7 pm for a plugged and overflowing kitchen sink. They said they will call be in 15 never did we called back they said they have n one right now and will call us back again. Till around 10:30 pm we finally called they said it would be an hour or two. We declined and said we need someone in the morning some one did come and said it was a drain cleaner job not plumbing issue he called the dispatcher and asked for a drain cleaner they said they will call us back that was 9:30 am. I finally called someone else and called them they said they don't have anyone and will call us when they do. Never heard back till now!!!!!!

Description of Work: They didn't charge anything for the initial call out and fixing the leak. I was given a list of items to purchase to permanently repair the problem. He could have provided these items but told me it would be much cheaper if I got them myself. I appreciated that. Job was done completely and quickly. They honored my Angie's list $40 discount and gave me an additional $40 off due to a small mar he made in the sink which is hard to even notice. Overall I'm very happy with the work.

Description of Work: Unclogged basement sewer drain and cleared basement floor drains. The man who came and did the actual work was excellent. I would give him and his work an A. He was friendly, explained what needed to be done and acted in a professional manner. The "D" for responsiveness is for the dispatch center. There were heavy rains at the time my sewer pipe was clogged and my basement was filling with water. They advertize 24 hour emergency services. When I called in the evening of 5/5, they gave me a time frame of two hours. They then called back when the two hours was almost up and said they were backed up and couldn't come until morning. I told them my basement was filling with water. They still said they would come in the morning. By the time the man got here, my whole basement was covered several inches deep in water and I had to hire another company to clean out the water, sanitize and dry my basement.

Description of Work: I called them the morning of Nov. 14, and they were at my house within 2 hours. I had a very leaky faucet in the laundry room sink. He informed me that a repair would be $180.00 and replacement would be 250.00 plus parts. When he got the faucet taken apart, it was badly corroded and in his opinion needed to be replaced. I have no knowledge on this subject whatever and had to take his word for it. The replacement was slow due to the fact that there continued to be a minute amount of water coming through the pipes. But he did finish the whole job in about 2 hours and the faucet works fine now. I noticed another report on this company quoting a larger amount for what seems like the same problem. He was very courteous, pleasant and professional in his manner. I did have a coupon that I printed out from your list which amounted to $30.00, so the total cost for a new faucet and the work involved was $358.00. I think I would use them again, but would get a couple of more bids first, for comparison purposes.

Description of Work: Good experience - the quote at the start of the service was right on. I put a B for quality and punctuality because 1 haven't had a lot of time to test out the fixed part but they did offer a 1 year service guarantee so I'm not to concerned. For time, they showed up slightly after the 2 hour window they said the service person would show up but they Roto-rooter office called to let me know the technician would be late, which I appreciated.

Description of Work: On 5/31/2011 I discovered a sewage backup in my basement. I called Roto-Rooter to come to my house, which they did within 2 hours. They attempted to clear the blockage in the line but were unable to do so. They recommended excavating the blocked section of pipe, at an estimated cost of several thousand dollars. I was horrified at the price, but saw no good alternative, so I agreed. By this time it was nearly 5pm and they said they'd come back the following morning at 8am to begin the excavation. I went to work that morning and got a call from Josh in the early afternoon - he told me they had discovered the reason for the backup was that a new gas pipeline had been put through my sewer lateral pipe (my neighborhood is undergoing a renovation of the streets and utilities), so the utility company would be responsible for payment of Roto-Rooter's charges. Roto-Rooter even refunded me the $ I initially paid to their plumber for the drain work. Since then I have been embroiled in a dispute with the utility company and 2 of its subcontractors, trying to get reimbursement for the cost of having the sewage cleaned out of my basement, but thanks to Roto-Rooter's assistance and knowledgeability, the invoices for their work were sent directly to the utility rather than to me. If not for this, I would have been out of pocket nearly $10,000 and still trying to collect from the utility company/its subcontractors. Working with Josh was great every step of the way - he explained things in plain English, was very pleasant and polite, and kept me informed in a timely manner as the situation unfolded.

Description of Work: Cleaned 2" sewer line for 25 ft. A porblem line in the past. This was a preventive maintenance Job.

Description of Work: They cleaned a sewer main line, but discovered a problem with it. The plumber said the manager would call back with an estimate for a video exam of the drain, which hasn't happened. They cleaned out a small amount of roots. A week later the drain blocked again, presumably because of the problem of a broken tile at the curve.
