Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Everything went well as planned it would.

I live in in a 1950's bungalo and the laundry and kitchen drains are on the back side of the house (farthest from the sewer drain). Snaking is a bi-annual activity. They were prompt, fast, clean.

The plumber was fine. The cost was beyond belief - over $600!

I called Roto-Rooter and someone picked up promptly. Asked the appropriate questions and with good responsiveness. Within an hour a tech was at the house, Brian (tech #936 invoice #19830571) was: prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and went to work straight away wasting no time. Brian was able to diagnose what the issue was and resolve the issue quickly filling me in after resolution what the issue was and any pertinent information needed to prevent the issue in the future. I had a very positive experience with Roto-Rooter, this was the first time I had ever used them and will use them again. Thanks!

It went well. The plumber was prompt, courteous and professional. The job was done quickly when he got here and it drains well now.

I made an appointment while out of the country for a Friday that needed to be done. Roto-rooter accepted and confirmed the appointment but never showed up. When I contacted them, they said only that they were busy and, despite advertising emergency service, said they could not make the repair visit until the following monday.

I set up an appointment for Friday. They confirmed the appointment for Friday. They did not show up and, although they advertise emergency and weekend service told me they couldn't come until the following Monday. I fixed it myself

Both my husband and I are in wheelchairs. So our washer and dryer are upstairs. So we had to have a special pipe put downstairs, so the water doesn't run directly into the tub and plug up. Because we aren't able to go down and see if it gets plugged. So they put in a pipe that runs directly out of the house. It turned out great. It's worked forever.

It worked out great. The service was great. The person that came was great. I really appreciate that they came on a Sunday, but I really think their cost is; the only disagreement is I think their cost is a little high. I would use them again, especially in an emergency. We just figured they'd come out on a Sunday.

It worked out very well. They did the work. I would use them again in the future. They have always been very responsive, I have used them before. Generally, since it is some distance apart, they send different people. They clean up after themselves.

They sent a really professional, really knowledgeable, really friendly guy on the service call. He worked really quickly and efficiently and got the job done.

Great! Aaron (tech #221) taught us a lot about the pipes in St. Paul and different methods for treating for root growth based on the pipes we have. He was very knowledgable and helpful and did a great job clearing out the pipe.

Excellent, fast and efficient work. Aaron #221 came out to my house within the hour in the early AM. He was able to clear out my main drain and also unclogged my laundry tub at no extra charge. Roto-Rooter is a little on the high side cost-wise but they do good work and it comes with a 6-month guarantee.

This went very well. The guys were super nice and respectful of my home. They made sure everything was to my satisfaction and kept the area where they worked very clean with tarps and such to keep my carpet clean.

The service technician (Derek) was great. He was prompt and did the job quickly. He seemed comfortable with me watching over his shoulder, and was courteous and pleasant in answering the questions I had. Only two comments - price is high ($319) although they do guarantee their work; they will come back if clogs reappear within six months of the original work. There was some confusion about when they would come out, although I certainly don't fault the technician for that. Originally the window was 6-10pm, then it was "within the hour", then it was "we're behind and will send someone to you within the next hour or two." The dispatcher kept me posted, calling me every 30 minutes, even when he could only say it would be a little longer. (Very impressed with that.) And the tech did show up when the dispatcher said he would. Tech gave me instructions on how to avoid/prevent clogs in the future. He sold me a large jug of green-friendly drain cleanser for maintaining the health of my pipes. Warning - the jug cost $60. I didn't take the time to research other products, I just wanted to be done with the job. All in all, very satisfied with the job.

Brian arrived within an hour of our call and unclogged our main sewer line and laundry drain. Their work has a 6 month warranty and they included a camera check of the sewer line out to the street.

The cost was too much, I called their regional office and they gave me a refund.

With Roto Rooter it depends on the technician they send over. They have a lot of people working for them, it is hit or miss over what you get.

The gentleman that did the work was on time, pleasant and was very knowledgeable, and had the problem fixed very quickly. The tech's name was Dave K. Tech 2666. We will not hesitate to call Roto- Rooter again. This all happened on a holiday weekend and Roto-Rooter answered our call and made sure that we would be okay until after the holiday. Thank you Roto-Rooter.

They were fine. They were friendly. The work was good. They were great. I would recommend them.

The estimation was free. They are good but they were a little more pricey. They were on time and they did the estimation was free. Generally plumber charge just to come over.

The joy of home ownership. It’s a Sunday night wife’s doing laundry, kids taking a bath, there’s water coming out of the basement floor pipe. I grabbed a shop vac thinking it was no big deal until we let the bath water out to discover it was coming out the bathroom toilet in the basement. As you know a lot of places are closed on Sunday so I gave Rotor Rooter’s 24/7 number a call Tech came out right away to save the evening.. Really grateful these guys don’t mind working Sunday's.. Big thanks to Josh Tech number #4348 not only did he effectively get the job done clearing water main back up, he shared some valuable information a home owner can use. We are very grateful!!

The clog was 30 to 40 feet from the drain. The obstruction was removed and the area cleaned very well. He took great care to ensure that other areas were not affected and kept clean.

The plumber fixed it without a problem. My only issue is that Roto-Rooter has a fairly high price for a service call, and company policy doesn't give the plumber much opportunity to adjust the price. The actual repair took about 10 minutes. The plumber felt bad charging me so much for such a short call, so he found a coupon he let me apply.

They got the job done. As I recall, it was more than we thought it would cost. It was on the expensive side. Quality was good. Perhaps I would use them again in the future.
